The reason Jerry “The King” Lawler pulled out of his personal appearances this weekend is because Lawler suffered a stroke late last week in Florida. This marks the third stroke we know of including one in 2019 and a major one in 2023 that required extensive rehab for him to get back on his feet figuratively and literally. My best wishes to Lawler for a full recovery.
This week’s Dynamite did a 0.12 18-49 and 584,000 viewers. Last week was 0.11 and 472,000. (Wrestlenomics)

I’m like, ‘No, I’m so happy you’re back.’ It was great talking to her. I actually hope we get a moment because when you think about it – everyone’s talking about it on the internet and it is true.”

WWE has apparently exerted some power in their relationship with TNA over how contracted talent for TNA Wrestling work outside dates. In short because WWE doesn’t want TNA to appear to be working with AEW, WWE had requested that TNA talent not work for Scott D’Amore’s Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling, due to D’Amore’s relationship with AEW and ability to book AEW talent on his shows. (WO) That’s a huge irony given he used to be the TNA President.
It appears that Saudi Arabia wants The Rock to headline and Steve Austin to come back for one last match at their WrestleMania so they can claim it’s “the most star packed” WrestleMania ever. (WO)
Kyle Fletcher takes exception to some criticism from Stevie Richards: “He spoke a lot about the culture is it AEW, I don’t think he knows anything about the culture at AEW. He said there is nobody there for me to learn from, I think that’s absolutely fucking horseshit, you know what I mean? I’m learning from people every single day that I’m there, there’s so many great minds. There’s Bryan Danielson there almost every week. I’m open to criticism, I just don’t think it was in the best faith. No ill will. I’m open to critique at any and all times. I’m 26 years old, I’m still trying to learn this business, man. I have a lot more room to grow, for sure. I don’t know if I would say in the company. I feel like fans feel like that. It almost turns – I hate stuff like this because it almost turns into like a us vs. them type thing and everyone will steal that – it’s almost like they use that as evidence to fuel whatever their opinion already was, right? If you’re a WWE fan and you hate AEW, obviously you’re going to be like, ‘Yeah, Stevie Richards was right, Kyle Fletcher is ass.’ AEW fans are going to be like, ‘Get out, Kyle Fletcher is the best wrestler in the world, what are you talking about, you don’t know anything.’ That’s what it turns into at the end of the day. So, I just hate that aspect of it. Do I think I need to be protected? No man, I’m in pro wrestling. I’m going out there and you can have whatever opinion you want of me, that’s part of the job. I want you to react however you react. To the people that did protect me, thank you, but I’m okay. I’ve got thick skin, brother.”
