Cody Rhodes is not a fan of the Mario Party series: “Mario Party’s a complete work. You do everything strategy-wise and at the end they’re like, ‘Ehh, we gave this person three stars because they had friends.’ Come on! Come on!”
In an interview with PWInsider, Eddie Kingston said he’s not ready to return to the ring: “I am not there. I have started running in the ring. I am still doing physical therapy and I am mentally better. Yet again, as people know, it’s a struggle, but being able to be in the ring again and work out with PT and working out with Cezar (Bononi) is helping my mental health, let alone my body. I can finally feel the ball is moving in the right direction.”

WrestleCon’s Michael Bochicchio admits that WrestleMania not being in New Orleans just created a huge headache for them: “We had already contracted space in NOLA. We hadn’t announced anything because our next event is August, and we’re 100 percent focused on that event. It will be interesting to see how difficult/expensive it will be to get out of the NOLA contract and the impact it may have on our process moving forward. IF this was that easy, I’m sure everybody would be doing it, so its just part of the experience. I understand that TKO has an obligation to shareholders to generate the most profit, but I’m generally concerned about fatigue of the WrestleMania traveler. I’ve already seen a lot of feedback from my best customers that they won’t be returning to Vegas two years in a row or attending if its in Saudi/Mexico City. These are the types of customers that pay for the expensive Mania seats and/or make these family outings each year. I think one of the best parts about the event is that it historically moves around and allows different parts of the country to experience a WM weekend. There are certainly other great options, both in the U.S. and internationally they can choose, so I’ll reserve final judgement until they choose a city.”
Will Ospreay says his TV attire is relatable to the fans: “For me, I think the more I show vulnerability and the more – I know that one of the criticisms I get, not just about my hair, but like… dressing appropriate for the role I wanna be as one of the top guys and I do understand that to an extent. But I feel like more of the authentic that I dress, the more that people relate to me. I’d just done an interview over in a news studio… I feel like because I am dressed in a certain way, I look way more presentable. Like, I come down a level and it’s more of like I’m way more humble, I’m way more approachable in that sense and I think that’s the reason a lot of people have gravitated more towards me in that sense.”
WWE is planning to announce a major event in Mexico “very soon” and following their recent acquisition of AAA is looking to “dominate” the Mexican market. (WO)
Drew McIntyre says he’s working with a serious injury: “I can’t turn my head all the way left. Working hurt is just what happens if you’re an athlete, especially as the years go by. If you’re injured, it is something to take care of. Maybe back in the day, we would have taped it up and gone with it. In the past, I have worked with muscle tears and breaks, which isn’t the most sensible thing, but the way we operate now, you want to last for the long run.”
Here’s a new Sammy Guevara interview and one with Lyra Valkyria.
