Speaking to The Wrestling Classic, Dominik Mysterio shares his feelings on CM Punk: “I think we just both mutually hate each other, equally. I fucking hate CM Punk. I don’t know what it is about that guy. I don’t know if it’s because he looks like Eddie Munster and I want to kick him in the fucking face, or the fact that everyone is like, ‘He finally did it, he finally got his WrestleMania main event.’ Good for you, old man. 60 years old, it took you what, 45 years to accomplish your one goal? It’s about time. It’s what they say about babies. When they have tantrums, you give them what they want so they shut the fuck up. I’m pretty sure that’s what happened. That’s why he needed a favor from Paul Heyman. There is a reason he was never in the main event. You call yourself the Best in the World. I don’t need to go around calling myself the Best in the World. People know I’m better than the best. I don’t need to call myself Best in the World at 70 years old. People do it for me.”
In this interview Matt Riddle says WrestleMania 30 inspired him to try pro wrestling: “I also saw that year Daniel Bryan beat Triple H and beat Batista. It was 30 and that’s the first year of the network. No knock to Daniel Bryan, he’s an amazing professional wrestler, one of the probably the best, if not one of the best in the world. But I was like if he can do it, and he’s using a shoot background, kind of like a jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai background, and he’s not the biggest guy in the room. When I was watching wrestling for a lot of it, the biggest guy in the room dominated and still that happens, but now it seemed like this whole new window (that opened).”
Taz talks about the last time he saw Sabu: “We took a photo, it was myself, Brian Cage, Hook, Sabu. Ricky Starks was in the building, but he couldn’t come take a photo. The photo was all the FTW Champions. I wanted that photo. But at the time, Jack Perry wasn’t the FTW Champion, so it was just us. Starks was doing some interview, so he couldn’t do it. And Sabu was, like, so gracious to take the picture. And he thought it was all awesome to do that. At the time, I thought he hated being the FTW Champion in the 90s, when Paul put it on him. But he actually thought it was cool. And that made me feel good, in my own little crazy mind, about the FTW belt. But yes, that’s the last time I, unfortunately, saw him.”
Raw did 2.8 million viewers last week, down from 3 million the week before. (Netflix)
Tyler Breeze talks about his 2021 WWE release: “Obviously, it’s a double-edged sword, a combination of things depending on where you made it. So, when it came for me, I kinda essentially grew up in WWE, so – depending on what phase you’re at, you’re either ready to explore that other side, or kinda go, ‘Oh man, what do I do now?’ Then there’s people on the other side of it, who either didn’t get a taste of Raw and SmackDown, big time, so to speak, or they got there for a short time, so it’s like, ‘Oh man, I didn’t get to show what I can do.’ Either way, it’s great because it’s not the end unless you choose to be the end.”
Based on his social media post Colt Cabana had some influence in the recent pro wrestling episode of Family Guy.
Samoa Joe talks about challenging Jon Moxley for the AEW World Title: “There’s a simple edict in front of us, A lot of people say they wanna be World Champion, but what are you willing to do to be World Champion? And I’ve just always been resigned to do those things. I don’t think Jon has seen a clearer vision of what his future looks like. Nobody has gotten their ass beat better than Jon Moxley? Well, Jon, guess what? Ain’t nobody been better at beating your ass than me this coming Wednesday. I mean, it’s like it’s destiny.”

Mark Shapiro brags about WWE cutting 75% of their live events and raising prices on event tickets: “We cut those house shows down to where now we’re doing 200 events a year. We cut them 75%, the number of house shows that we do. We feel that’s a good place to be and we’ll continue to prune as we go through. WWE has tremendous upside on global partnerships. Tremendous upside on ticket pricing. Tremendous upside on site fees, dynamic pricing, yield management. All areas we’re really focusing and pushing in on as it related to live events. As you saw on our first quarter, our margins significantly expanded as it relates to WWE live events.”
Shortly after WWE filed a trademark for “The High Ryze” (FF) Wes Lee, Tyson DuPont and Tyriek Igwe debuted a new faction with the same name on NXT.
John Cena is not backing down from his love of Vince McMahon: “Everybody’s entitled to their opinion. Just like I’m entitled to have an emotional connection to somebody. I don’t hold anybody or how they feel or what they view as permissible or things that’ll make them angry, happy, excited, sad. That’s their right as a human being.”
