In this interview Will Ospreay says he wants to put on his own women’s wrestling show: “There’s something in me that really wants to do something daring and wants to like… I think the European largest gate for a women’s show is held by EVE at 1,000 people. I want to break that record. I have the resources with AEW and Ring of Honor. I have the relationship with STARDOM that I have, and myself and Dann (Read) really want to collaborate to one day, maybe towards the end of this year, we want to go for like a big venue and see if we can put in the largest European all-women’s gate.”

Natalya talked to Nikki & Brie Bella about writing her memoirs: “I was a little tentative when I started writing the book. There’s a lot that I’m kind of scared to share and I’m like, ‘I don’t know if I want to go there. I don’t want to say this or they’re not going to let me say this, or WWE is not going to want me to say this or this might offend this person,’ and then I just was like, You know what? Fuck it.’ Write it. Just write it. Just say what you have to say. They were so supportive of my book. It made me so happy. I was so happy… they didn’t say, ‘You can’t say this or you can’t say that,’ they fully embraced it and it was such a great feeling because it only reconfirmed that it’s so good to be able to share your story.”
Mickie James talks about the hardest part of being a pro wrestler: “Everyone is replaceable. The machine will still keep going. Those gears will still keep grinding with or without you. That’s the hardest struggle for anyone in this business, especially when it’s your dream and you want this. You never feel secure in that spot. You always feel like at any given moment there’s a shiny new toy or there’s this or there’s that. It doesn’t always matter how hard you work or whatever. Yes, those things pay off, but at the same time, I think we’re all insecure in that sense of we can all be replaced tomorrow and it’s no problem, right? The business has proven that any star can be made tomorrow, and then that one (can be) not forgotten about, but whatever.”

In an interview with Yahoo! Sports, Joey Janela talks about Sabu’s knee locking up before their match in Las Vegas: “I was fairly confident that he was fine. I was kept in contact with him and he has a team of people around him, guys this time. They were all saying he was ready to go, that he was going to the gym, that he was on a training program. I believed them until the day of the show. Then two hours before, I get a call: ‘Sabu can’t walk.’ What do you mean Sabu can’t walk? They said, ‘Yeah, Sabu, something with his knee – they’re locked up. He can’t walk. And his feet are bleeding. He’s not coming. Sabu’s not coming.’ I said, ‘Sabu’s fucked.’ So we talked to Matt Tremont, and Tremont is about to be the replacement for the match. And I feel like this is going to be the most embarrassing moment of my wrestling career. There’s 2,000 people here. This is one of the biggest Spring Breaks ever. The biggest crowd ‘Mania weekend, indie-wise. And I’m going to have to go out there and announce that Sabu, once again, no-showed. And no-showed his own retirement match. We are an hour into the show and I said, ‘Just get Sabu here.’ So they gave him something called kratom. You can buy it at a smoke shop or something; it’s like a legal opiate or something. They said, ‘He’s hopping on the bed, he’s hopping off the bed, and we’re going to get him to the show.’ So he shows up two hours into the show. Sabu was on a different fucking planet. Everyone in the backstage was like, ‘What the fuck? Is this match going to happen?’ And my God, did it happen.”
