Backstage, Renee asks Okada about the positive spin Don Callis tried to put on Okada and Fletcher both being in the International Championship match. He says Takeshita was kicked out of the family because he was too selfish, but Fletcher is too smart to make the same mistake. He says he’ll be happy if Fletcher retains, and he expects Fletcher to be happy if Okada wins.

Tony Schiavone then welcomes Kyle Fletcher to the ring. He asks Fletcher about his upcoming defense. Fletcher says this is one of the greatest reigns of all time, and he doesn’t expect it to end any time soon. He seconds Okada’s declaration that family is the most important thing, and says he expects Okada to live up to it. He says they’re united by their hatred of Takeshita, who interrupts and immediately starts brawling with Fletcher. Takeshita eventually hits Raging Fire, then poses with the championship.

They show a sit-down from earlier today between Ospreay and Omega. Renee asks about their first meeting in PWG, Ospreay says he was already a fan, and his only goal was to keep up. Omega says he knew Ospreay’s name from his efforts to keep up with the internet darlings of the day. Renee asks what had changed when they met up again in 2022. Omega says Ospreay was a completely different athlete, and he’d taken over as the face of New Japan. He says people think it was Omega seeing if he could hang, but really it was New Japan needing a draw that Ospreay couldn’t provide. Ospreay says Omega can’t compare their experiences leading New Japan, because COVID hit New Japan way harder, and because it was a lot harder living in the UK and working in Japan than it was living and working in the USA. Kenny pushes back on that. Renee asks Omega about his history with Don Callis, Omega says the results he was getting with Don Callis fooled him into thinking he had his best interests at heart. He said he wanted to be a cautionary tale, but Ospreay still fell for it. Ospreay says Omega embarrassed him, so he had to. He says he’s embarrassed that he relied on Don Callis at Forbidden Door 2023, and Omega says that, hearing that, he forgives him, because it’s a confession that Ospreay couldn’t beat Kenny on his own. Renee asks about their respective recent injuries. Kenny says he’s tired of talking about the diverticulitis, but it did force him to get smarter. He asks if Ospreay can say his injury similarly made him better. Ospreay says it told him about Kenny when everything he told him didn’t motivate him to show up every week until he said Omega had given up on himself, because it cut his ego to hear it from someone he regarded as beneath him. Omega says Ospreay wanted Omega to win because he thought it would be easier than facing MJF. Ospreay says that’s not true, he needs to beat Omega at 100% to know that he belongs on top. Omega says it mattered most in 2023, only this time he’ll fail in front of his country and his family. He says Ospreay is going to fail in front of his mom, which causes Ospreay to get in his face. Kenny says that, no matter what, he’ll still respect Ospreay, and Ospreay’s mom will still be proud, but maybe his son will want a new hero. He walks off as Ospreay starts to lunge forward.

Renee asks Maya World about her win tonight. Willow walks in and reminds Maya that she promised her the first title shot, which she makes for Collision.

In the ring, MJF’s translator Jonathan Cruz says he has a message for Andrade. In Spanish, he says Andrade will never be champion, and will not win the Gauntlet. Then, in English, he says he also won’t ever be the Real World’s Champion. He then goes off MJF’s message and says he’s way more Latino and way better looking than Andrade, and if he was here, he’d challenge him to a match. As he’s leaving, Andrade makes his way out.

Match Four: National Champion Andrade vs. Jonathan Cruz (non-title, I’d have to assume)

Andrade hits a spinning back elbow, DM for three.

Winner: Andrade

Andrade grabs the mic and cuts a promo in Spanish that unfortunately goes past my skill level. He calls MJF to come out, MJF’s music hits, he comes across the big screen in a hot tub, says he wouldn’t show up in Baltimore, especially when Andrade is there. He says the next time they see each other, Andrade will be looking up at the lights.

Andrade pulls Jonathan Cruz’s shirt off and hits another DM.

Renee welcomes Willow and Mercedes via picture-in-picture. She asks Mone about attacking Willow last week, Mone says she didn’t beat her bad enough. Willow says Mone is jealous of her relationship with the fans, because the fans don’t like Mone’s perfectionism. Mone says Willow is always embarrassing her and then smiling about it. She calls her a bully, and then they trash talk until they agree to meet up and fight each other.

They find each other backstage, Mone gets the jump, they brawl to the arena, refs and security pull them apart, which takes a few tries.

Once he’s satisfied, he invites Darby to come to the ring. A bunch of pyro then goes off and blasts Darby, giving Knight the opportunity to jump him, grab a chair, set him up in a tree of woe with the chair, goes up top, Coast to Coast. The medical team check on Darby, as does Steven Borden, the son of Sting.
