Tonight! Darby Allin challenges MJF for the Men’s World Championship! The Trios Championships might be on the line, I think! Also maybe the TNT and TBS Championships! Maybe! Definitely the world title match, though!
Dynamite opens with MJF pulling up and Renee attempting to inform him that the title match is tonight. She can’t get the words out, because he won’t stop bragging. Don Callis walks in and congratulates MJF as Renee continues to try to get it out. It turns out he doesn’t even know Darby beat Andrade. Finally, Renee shouts at him to get it out, and also informs him that the match is in fact happening right now.
Match One: AEW Men’s World Championship: MJF (c) vs. Darby Allin
MJF comes out and says this isn’t happening. He threatens to sue everyone, says he’s probably injured, and demands to be checked out by trainers. He says he’s doing Darby a favour, because he’s just not great enough to be world champion. He says Darby isn’t ready, which sets Darby off. Darby says, if he’s not ready now, he’ll never be ready, and runs down everything he’s done for AEW, before saying he’s been ready. He demands that the bell ring. MJF says they’re not ringing the bell. Bryan Danielson gets up from the table and says that Tony Khan agrees with MJF that it’s unfair for him to wrestle unprepared. And that’s why the match has been moved to the main event. He also says that MJF will be stripped of the title if he refuses. Darby then promises to finish MJF with a headlock takeover.
They show an interview Tony Schiavone had with Kenny after Dynasty. Kenny says he’s got nothing, and walks into the trainer’s room to get checked out. He runs into Will Ospreay, and they commiserate. Ospreay says this reminds him of when Kenny lost to Okada in 2017, and reminds Kenny that he did come back and make it to the top. Kenny says he’s running out of time, but Ospreay isn’t. Ospreay says Kenny still has it too. Ospreay says Kenny is his hero, then walks off. Kenny says he can’t give up if he’s still Ospreay’s hero.
Match One: Tommaso Ciampa vs. Dezmond Xavier
Ciampa with punches, stomps, running boot, Xavier lands on the floor, Ciampa tosses him into the barricade, then into the ring, jockeying, Ciampa tosses Xavier to the floor, boots him off the apron, follows to the floor, toss into the steps, Xavier floats over, both men back in the ring, Xavier with mixed strikes, Ciampa with an elbow, Xavier with a dropkick, Ciampa drops to the floor and yells at the crowd to stop chanting “Bald”, because he’s not Ricochet. Ciampa lets Xavier chase him back in the ring before stomping him down, exploder into the top rope, whip, knee, stomps to the gut, toss, Xavier with punches, whip, reversed, Xavier misses a crossbody, Ciampa with a chinlock, Xavier powers out, gut punches, kicks, Tornado DDT for two, misses a 450 but lands on his feet, Ciampa with a discus elbow, powerbomb, reversed into a hurricanrana, Xavier tosses Ciampa to the floor, suicide dive, rolls him in the ring, springboard frog splash for two, Ciampa with a backstabber, running knee for three.

Ciampa grabs a mic and challenges the winner of tonight’s main event. Then he kicks Xavier.
They show a video package for the feud leading to the main event. It highlights the significance of the side headlock takeover.
FTR hit the ring. Dax says everyone loves an underdog story, but this wasn’t an underdog story, Cope and Cage were just losers. Stokely says there’s no one left in AEW to challenge, so he knows Tony Khan will find someone from CMLL or New Japan, but the result will be the same. Cash then initiates a 10-second pose, before they walk off.
Match Two: TNT Championship: Kevin Knight (c) vs. Claudio Castagnoli
Trading strikes, Claudio with a neck wrench, Knight punches his way out, Claudio with a knee, back suplex, blocked, Knight with a springboard arm drag, tosses Claudio to the floor, Claudio drags him out, Knight with a springboard forearm, both men back in the ring, Claudio with a hip toss for two, keylock, body slam, elbow drop for two, keylock, Knight punches his way out, Claudio with a slam, misses an elbow, Knight with a pair of rollups for two, Claudio with a European uppercut, Knight with a leaping clothesline, trading European uppercuts, Knight with a body slam, leg drop for two, Claudio with a boot from the corner, Knight with a super hurricanrana, reversed into a top rope Neutralizer, blocked, Knight with punches, Claudio tosses him to the ring, European uppercut for two, blocks a boot and tosses Knight to the apron, Knight with a boot, springboard, reversed into a slam, Neutralizer, blocked, Claudio with a Giant Swing instead, goes to transition to a Sharpshooter, doesn’t get it, catapult instead, Knight lands on the top rope, lariat, goes back up top, UFO for three.

Knight grabs a mic, says Claudio is one of the hardest-hitting wrestlers he’s ever faced, calls for a round of applause for Claudio, then says that’s not going to stop him. He says he doesn’t blame Speedball for losing the Trios Championships, their time was just over. Knight then says he’ll be keeping a close eye on the main event.
