We’ll see Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship; we crown an Interim WWE Women’s Champion in a 5-woman ladder match; Chad Gable challenges Penta for the Intercontinental Championship; Sami Zayn and Finn Bálor go one-on-one in a #1 contender’s match; Trick Williams defends the United States Championship against the returning Baron Corbin; and Dominik Mysterio faces Danhausen in a “Human Monies on a Pole” match! We are LIVE for night two in Minneapolis, Minnesota for SummerSlam Sunday! Also for night two, Alicia Taylor is the ring announcer, and Michael Cole and Wade Barrett are the commentators for the event. Finn Bálor is the first competitor to head out to the ring for the first match of the night, and it’s to determine the next #1 contender for the Undisputed WWE Championship! Sami Zayn enters the arena after and he gets a good reaction. Ryan Tran is the referee for this match. Newly reinstated SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis comes out to make an executive decision to add another participant – GUNTHER! Gunther heads out with all smiles, and Aldis reluctantly shakes his hand. Sami is crashing out in the ring throwing a fit. But wait, Nick Aldis has made one more executive decision and there’s ANOTHER participant to be added – KEVIN OWENS!!! Owens is back after 16 months off and Sami Zayn is shocked!
* #1 Contender’s Match for the WWE Title: Finn Bálor vs. Sami Zayn vs. Gunther vs. Kevin Owens
The bell dings and Owens goes after Gunther, Bálor pulls him back, Gunther attacks, Owens clotheslines Gunther in a corner, KO Cannonball to Bálor, and a KO Cannonball to Gunther. Sami hasn’t moved! Zayn approaches Owens, and they hug! Then they punch! Owens hits Zayn with a short-arm clothesline, running senton, sends Bálor and Gunther out the ring, then hits a diving swanton off the top rope to the group below! Owens gets Gunther back in the ring, goes up top, hits the Swanton, Gunther counters the Stunner with the Sleeper, Zayn breaks it up, Bálor grabs Zayn, Gunther attacks both men, and knocks Owens out the ring. Gunther hits knees to Zayn’s midsection, clubs him on the chest, and saunters around the ring with confidence.
Bálor chops and punches Gunther, counters a scoop slam with the elbow drop reverse DDT, chop to the chest, and Gunther hits the hard chop to Bálor’s chest. Bálor counters with the sling blade to Gunther, sling blade to Zayn, shotgun dropkick to Sami into Gunther, goes up top, Gunther avoids the Coup de Grace, hits the massive dropkick, delivers the POWERBOMB, and turns Bálor’s kickout into the Boston crab. Owens breaks it up, stomps a mudhole in Gunther to a rousing applause, Gunther hits a big boot, Owens clotheslines him, goes up top, Bálor cuts him off with a kick to the head, Owens counters the superplex with the spinning fishmerman’s suplex, Sami throws Owens out the ring, and covers Bálor for a 2-count.
Sami sets up Bálor on the top rope for a superplex, Bálor fights him off, Owens gets back on the apron to knock Bálor off, goes up top, Sami blocks the Swanton with the knees up, and Owens is holding his neck in pain. Ref Ryan Tran backs Sami up to check on Owens, but Zayn goes for the Helluva Kick, but Gunther cuts him off with the Sleeper! Bálor breaks it up with the COUP DE GRACE, makes the cover, and Gunther breaks up the count! Gunther slaps Bálor on the chest, puts him in the Sleeper, Bálor rolls through for 2, Owens superkicks Gunther, STUNNER to Bálor, STUNNER to Gunther, Zayn hits the BLUE THUNDER BOMB to Owens and gets a near-fall! Owens counters the Helluva Kick with a superkick, hits the STUNNER, and covers for the 1-2-3!!! WINNER, and #1 Contender for the Undisputed WWE Title: KEVIN OWENS!!
What an exciting opening match; great decision by GM Aldis!! This is another excuse for Sami Zayn to complain, Gunther has gotta be upset about this as well, and Finn Bálor has also lost his opportunity. Welcome back Kevin Owens!
The United States Championship will be the next match coming up. Baron Corbin comes out first and this is his first match back after making his return to WWE. Lil Yachty is back since the night Corbin returned, he hypes up the champion and introduces him to the stage. Trick Williams is on his glorious spinning platform with his legacy version of the United States Championship around his waist. Jason Ayers is the referee for this match.
* United States Championship: Baron Corbin vs. Trick Williams {C}
Williams punches Corbin before the bell dings, gives him a flapjack, kips up, gives him the Trick Slap backhand, then stomps him down to the chant of “Whoop that Trick!” Outside the ring, Williams throws him into the barricade by the timekeeper’s area, then brings out a table from under the ring. Corbin slides into the ring, Trick goes after him, Corbin slides out the other side, Trick runs after him, and Corbin catches him with the Deep Six on the floor! The referee counts up to 5 before Corbin exits the ring, breaks the ref’s count, shoves him into the barricade and the ringpost and the steel steps.
Williams rolls back into the ring, Corbin is all over him with a ground-n-pound attack with punches and elbows, and Yachty looks on in disgust. Corbin hits body blows, Irish whip sternum-first into the turnbuckles, clothesline, and mounted punches. Baron continues the attack, Trick punches him back, they trade punches over the ropes, Baron rakes his eyes, Lil Yachty gets in Corbin’s face, and Corbin shoves him back into the barricade. Yachty brings out the kendo stick from the timekeeper’s area to chase him off with, Corbin gets back in the ring, Williams hits a jumping neckbreaker, crescent kick, Book End, and covers for 2.
Williams picks him up on his shoulders, Corbin counters with the rake of the eyes, the ref checks on Trick, Yachty hits Corbin on the back with the kendo stick behind the ref’s back, Williams slams him down and gets a 2-count! Corbin blocks the Trick Shot, Williams blocks the Deep Six, Williams lands on his feet to counter the End of Days, hits a discus pump kick and gets a near-fall. Corbin ducks the Trick Shot, hotshots him on the top rope, picks up the championship, the ref checks on Williams, Yachty grabs the championship, Williams punches Corbin and that knocks Yachty off the apron and through the table! The ref looks down at Yachty, Corbin hits Williams in the head with the championship, plants him with the END OF DAYS, and covers for 3!! WINNER, and NEW, UNITED STATES CHAMPION: BARON CORBIN!!
Baron Corbin returns to WWE in a big way by winning the United States Championship for the second time in his career! The ladders are being set up at ringside, getting ready for the next match. Michael Cole and Wade Barrett congratulate Baron Corbin on becoming the new United States Champion, then they introduce the Spanish commentary of Marcelo Rodriguez and Jerry Soto also at ringside.
It’s time to crown an Interim WWE Women’s Champion! Minnesota’s own Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton makes her entrance first. Jade Cargill heads out wearing Purple attire to tribute Prince’s song “Purple Rain” as well as representing Minnesota Vikings colors. Chelsea Green heads out next to a massive applause, and Lash Legend comes out to a negative reaction. Charlotte Flair wears an extravagent colorful robe.
* Interim WWE Women’s Championship – Ladder Match:
Tiffany Stratton {Women’s U.S. Champion} vs. Jade Gargill vs. Chelsea Green vs. Lash Legend vs. Charlotte Flair
Jade goes after Charlotte before she even gets to the ring! The bell dings and these two women brawl on the outside. Lash catches Tiffany to counter a hurricanrana with a powerbomb into the ladder, then blocks a suicide dive by Chelsea to slam her into the ladder! Lash brings that same ladder into the ring, throws Chelsea over the barricade, gets in the ring, looks up at the title, Charlotte blocks her from grabbing the ladder, she chops Lash on the chest over and over, side-steps her, Lash blocks the walk-over and body slams her onto the ladder! Jade grabs the ladder at the same time as Lash, they have a staredown, Chelsea and Tiffany get back in the ring, they duck the ladder, they punch the two, they both hit double knees to the backs of Legend and Cargill, and they do the 10-count punch in opposite corners. Both Lash and Jade hit them with pump kicks.
Jade gives Lash a German suplex, kips up, Charlotte hits Jade a diving crossbody from the top, shoves her out the ring with a ladder, then lays the ladder across the middle ropes in a corner. Lash slams her down, sets up a ladder, Tiffany drops her with a lungblower, and stands in the ring across from Flair. Both Tiffany and Charlotte trade shots, Tiffany side-steps the big boot, Charlotte drops her onto the wedged ladder, Chelsea dropkicks her, and Tiffany drops Charlotte on the ladder. Chelsea climbs up the ladder, Jade pulls her down, then drops her onto the ladder face-first. Jade climbs up the ladder, Tiffany stops her, Jade looks for a choke slam, but Tiffany counters with the backstabber. Tiffany kicks Charlotte away, but Charlotte climbs the ladder with her, Tiffany falls, Lash hits Charlotte with a ladder, and Tiffany shoves the ladder back at her and slams her head on it. Tiffany stands on the ladder, pulls her up to the top rope, and LASH POWERBOMBS STRATTON ONTO THE LADDER!!
Lash leans the ladder in the corner, Charlotte hits her with the big boot, climbs up to the ladder, grabs the strut, Jade pulls the ladder away, Jade and Lash pull her down, Jade uses Charlotte to hit Lash, shoves Charlotte into the ladder, and Lash clotheslines Jade. Lash puts the ladder back under the title, climbs up to reach the title, Tiffany climbs up the other side to knock her down, Lash pulls her back down, sets up for the powerbomb, but Tiffany counters with the hurricanrana sending her into the ladder. Tiffany climbs up the ladder , slightly out of position, Chelsea apologizes to Tiffany before shoving her to the ground onto the pile of women.
CHELSEA GREEN SETS UP A LADDER ALL ALONE IN THE RING, CLIMBS UP TO GRAB IT, but B-Fab and Michin run down the ring to stop her, hang her upside-down, beat her down, and they help Jade get back in the ring. Charlotte is back in the ring, boots B-Fab, clotheslines Michin out the ring, climbs up the ladder opposite Jade, they punch each other, Lash and Tiffany climb a third ladder together, Jade shoves the ladder with them down, Charlotte and Jade trade punches on their own ladder, and they fall to the mat. Chelsea wakes up, climbs the ladder all by herself, and unhooks the championship to win the match and the championship!!! WINNER, and NEW, INTERIM WWE WOMEN’S CHAMPION: CHELSEA GREEN!!!!!
Chelsea Green has finally climbed to the top of the women’s division to become the WWE Women’s Champion, even if it’s for the interim! Congratulations to Chelsea Green! We get replays of Kevin Owens making his return while listening to several different languages on commentary.
We get a video package to highlight the feud of Danhausen and The Judgment Day, leading to tonight’s “Human Monies on a Pole” Match. Danilo Anfibio is the referee here.

Dominik attach him at the bell, immediately for the bag of money, Danhausen stops him, Dom dropkicks him onto the ropes, Danhausen ducks the 619, clotheslines him in a corner, another clothesline, Dominik side-steps him, and hits his own clothesline. Dom stomps him down underneath the pole, climbs up, Danhausen grabs his leg, Dom delivers a suplex, rolls over, a second suplex, rolls over, Danhausen counters the third amigo and drops him.
Danhausen sits up, crawls to the corner, climbs up the turnbuckle, and here comes JD McDonagh to stop him. JD with a hammer throw into the corner, delivers a diving moonsault, and the Minihausens attack McDonagh! JD boots one, body slams another, choke slam to another, and it’s Torito-hausen! Torito-hausen with a headscissors to JD, and he gets on the top rope. Domini is back in play, beats down the other Minihausens, and Torito gives Mysterio the diving hurricanrana with a tope con hilo! Danhausen gets back in the ring, gets up the turnbuckles, JD headbutts him, throws him out the ring, and tosses Toritohausen into the barricade. JD tries to prevent Danhausen from getting back in the ring, but JOE HENDRY comes out with a guitar and whacks JD with it!
Dominik and Danhausen look at each other from ringside, they both scurry into the ring, they race to the corner, both men go up the turnbuckles, they fight each other, Danhausen gets crotched on the top rope, Dominik reaches for the human monies, but Danhausen says “You, are, CURSED” and pyro goes off in Dom’s face! Danhausen regains his footing, climbs up and grabs the human monies to win the match! WINNER: DANHAUSEN!
Danhausen, Joe Hendry, Torito-hausen, and the Minihausens all celebrate in the ring. Danhausen throws the money into the crowd! Looks like it’s a mix of Danhausen monies and actual human monies. We get an ad for WWE Survivor Series: War Games in Houston on November 28th. We also get the ad for AAA Eternal Glory and NXT Stand & Deliver 2027 in New York during WrestleMania weekend. We see several WWE legends including Molly Holly in the crowd.
It’s time for the Intercontinental Championship to get defended. Minnesota’s own Chad Gable heads out to the ring and hugs his family at ringside. Penta comes out with a lot of fanfare. Eddie Orengo is the referee.

Both men meet in the middle of the ring, they shake hands, Penta pulls him back with extra words, they circle, lock up trading holds, Gable goes for the ankle, Penta escapes, hits a hurricanrana, Gable hits a Russian legsweep, flipping kick connects, Penta superkicks him, and hits the reverse sling blade. Penta catches him, hits a backbreaker, covers for 2, slaps him on the chest, Gable counters the Penta Driver, catches him for a German suplex, rolls over, German suplex, rolls over, and hits a third German suplex with a bridging pin for 2. Penta counters the Chaos Theory, kicks him in the leg, Gable blocks the backstabber, hits a shoulder block, goes up top, Penta counters the moonsault with a superkick in mid-air, and covers for 2. Penta hits a gamengiri, Gable falls down, blocks the basement dropkick, goes for the ankle lock, Penta kicks him off, and hits a tope con hilo! Penta throws him back into the ring, hits the Penta Driver, covers, and gets a near-fall!
Both men get back to their feet, Penta slaps him on the chest, Gable punches him, Penta chops him, Gable strikes back, they trade chops and chest slaps, Penta with a kick, Gable with a belly-to-belly overhead suplex into the turnbuckles, and covers for 2. Gable goes up top with a bloody forehead, Penta catches him on the landing, traps the arm, pulls his shoulder, snaps the Sacrifice, covers, and gets a 2-count. Penta kicks him on the shoulder, apologizes to him, kicks him again on the shoulder, Gable blocks the Destroyer, picks the ankle, Penta counters the ankle lock, Penta catches him to place him on the top rope, Gable catches his arm for an armbar over the ropes, Penta with a kick, Gable blocks the Destroyer on the apron, then delivers the German suplex on the apron, gets to the top rope, and delivers a diving moonsault to the floor!
Gable throws him back into the ring, connects with the diving headbutt from the top injuring his shoulder, and covers for 2. Gable puts him on the top, climbs up to him, Penta blocks him, sends him onto the apron, and hits the MEXICAN DESTROYER ON THE APRON, then rolls him back into the ring for the 1-2-KICKOUT!! Penta calls for it again, Gable counters the Destroyer into the ANKLE LOCK, Penta crawls around, reaches for the ropes, Gable pulls him back, drops down for more pressure, and PENTA TAPS OUT!!! WINNER, and NEW, INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION: CHAD GABLE!!!
Chad Gable is in tears as he finally wins his first singles championship becoming the NEW Intercontinental Champion! Penta is already back to his feet as he pulls him up, takes the championship back, just so he can wrap the title around the new champ’s waist. CONGRATS CHAD GABLE!! Chad Gable’s family steps in the ring to celebrate with him on his big victory. The crowd chants “You deserve it!” Gable has a microphone: “My name is Chad Gable. And I was born, raised, and I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota! And this is my family who stood behind me through the highs and lows and I can finally say I am the new Intercontinental Champion!”
We get a video to promote AAA Triplemanía 34 at the MGM in Las Vegas for night one on September 11th and in Mexico City for night two on September 13th. We also get a promo for WWE Money in the Bank in New Orleans on October 10th.
We go to Minnesota Vikings’ own Justin Jefferson to get the crowd hyped for the main event. We get a video package to showcase the 14-year history between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. This main event will be a very personal outing between former Shield members. Seth Rollins comes out first teasing with the old Shield music and mask. Roman Reigns makes his entrance with the 1s in the air for the Tribal Chief. Rollins never takes his eyes off of Reigns during his entrance. Alicia Taylor is in the ring to make the proper title match introductions, the referee for this match will be Shawn Bennett, he keeps the two men separated during the introductions, holds up the championship as the ultimate prize, and calls for the bell to start the final match of SummerSlam weekend.
* World Heavyweight Championship: Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns {C}
The main event is underway! Rollins tries to show off a white Shield vest, he tosses it aside, both men stand across the ring from each other, Reigns slowly walks to the center of the ring, Rollins meets him there, they talk trash under their breaths, they back off and circle the ring. They lock up collar-and-elbow, Roman backs him to a corner, clean break, they lock up, Seth gets the upper hand in a corner, and a semi-clean break. They lock up again, Seth with a side headlock, Roman pushes him off, hits a shoulder tackle, and throws the 1 in the sky. Rollins leapfrogs over him, Reigns with a side headlock, Rollins switches the headlock, Reigns pushes him off, leapfrogs over him, and Rollins hits the sling blade. Roman swings, Rollins ducks, punches and chops him, 10-punch in the corner, Reigns pushes him off, clotheslines him, another clothesline, Irish whip reversed, Rollins ducks the jumping clothesline and superkicks him in the face.
Reigns pulls himself up in a corner, Rollins with a running splash, Reigns side-steps him, hits the jumping clotheslines, then clotheslines him repeatedly in a corner, and hits the big boot. Reigns locks and loads the fist, Rollins blocks the Superman Punch, clotheslines him out the ring, hits the suicide dive, gets back in the ring, hits another suicide dive, Reigns walks around the ring, and Rollins hits a third suicide dive sending him into the Spanish announce table. Rollins clears the Spanish announce table, gets back in the ring, Reigns blocks the suicide dive with a punch, hits the drive-by dropkick, clotheslines him over the barricade, goes out after him, and they battle in the crowd.
Rollins punches him as they pass through the crowd, Reigns fights back, Rollins with an elbow to the gut, hits him in the gut with a stanchion, Reigns blocks a suplex, delivers a suplex on the floor, charges for a Spear, but Rollins blocks it with a kick, and hits the flying knee off the barricade. Seth take a breather on the apron, Reigns pulls himself up on the barricade, mocks Reigns, but Roman blocks the spear attempt, and POWERBOMBS ROLLINS THROUGH THE SPANISH ANNOUNCE TABLE!! Referee Shawn Bennett admonishes both men for spending so much time outside the ring, but Roman ignores him as he clears off the English announce table. Rollins counters a powerbomb, and now this time Rollins POWERBOMBS REIGNS THROUGH THE ENGLISH ANNOUNCE TABLE!!
The referee is finally counting to both men, gets up to 6… 7… Rollins stirs, 8… Roman moves, 9… both men get back in the ring, Rollins hits the Pedigree to Reigns, covers, and gets 2.99!! Rollins calls for The Stomp, but Reigns counters with the Superman Punch, and covers for 2.5! Reigns starts talking to himself, psyching himself up, calls for the Spear, but Rollins leapfrogs over him, Reigns crashes into the turnbuckles, Rollins hits THE STOMP, and covers for 1-2-KICKOUT!!! Rollins picks him up on his shoulders, sits him on the top rope, goes up for a superplex, Reigns blocks it, headbutts him, Rollins runs back up, hits the SUPERPLEX, rolls through, and Reigns locks in the GUILLOTINE! Rollins tries to fight through, Reigns locks his legs around him, Rollins doesn’t give up yet, gets back to his knees, stands back up, Roman avoids the suplex, and hits the SPEAR for 1-2-KICKOUT at 2.99!!
Roman complains that was a three-count, but he starts talking major trash calling Rollins the #2 among punches. The OTC wants the crowd to acknowledge him, he runs the ropes, Rollins hits his own SPEAR, covers, and gets a near-fall! Now this time it’s Rollins talking trash to his downed opponent saying he owns him, and saying Roman is #1 because they made him be that. Rollins pulls him back up, hits the Buckle Bomb, Reigns counters the Stomp, delivers his own Buckle Bomb, and Roman hits THE STOMP and gets a near-fall of his own!! Both men are kneeling while having their own commentary, they stand, Reigns punches him, Rollins punches him back, Roman with a big right, Rollins with a big right, they go back-and-forth trading punches, Roman uppercuts him and the ref is knocked down. Rollins hits the rebound Ambrose clothesline, Rollins goes for the Dirty Deeds, but Roman counters and hits the DIRTY DEEDS!! Roman goes for the Spear but Rollins side-steps and ROMAN HITS THE REF WITH THE SPEAR, then Rollins hits Reigns with THE STOMP!!
With the referee down, Rollins exits the ring, looks at the championship, but goes for the chair that started this whole damn feud. Roman pulls himself up on the ropes, Rollins stands behind him with the chair, Reigns uppercuts him, picks the chair up, Rollins is now pulling himself up on the ropes, Roman looks at the chair, and throws it aside. Roman wants to end this man-to-man, hand-to-hand, and it’s a fistfight! The energy fades from both men as the punches slow down, Rollins slaps him, Reigns headbutts him, clubs him on the back, Rollins with short kicks, Roman uppercuts him, Seth superkicks him, Roman hits the Superman Punch, Rollins counters the Spear with the Pedigree, Roman avoids The Spear, but Rollins hits THE STOMP, goes up top, Roman avoids the Super Stomp and hits the SPEAR!! Roman runs the ropes and hits another SPEAR!! The referee is still down so the match continues, Reigns hits a third SPEAR in a row, makes the cover, referee Shawn Bennett is back in the ring, and Reigns gets the 1… 2… 3!! WINNER, and STILL, WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: ROMAN REIGNS!!!
WHAT A MATCH!! That was a great match and a fantastic way to end SummerSlam weekend. Rollins looks on slumped in a corner, and Reigns is slumped in the opposite corner and they glance and glare at each other. Reigns stands up in the center of the ring and calls for a Shield fist bump. Rollins picks up the Shield mask, gets to his feet, lays the mask down, and they have a moving fist bump in the middle of the ring to signify the end of The Shield chapter of their story.
