Mick Foley

Via Facebook, Mick Foley confirmed that his WWE Legends deal has expired: “A MESSAGE FOR WWE – as of this day, I am no longer under a Legends merchandising contract, and have a message for WWE at the end of our thirty year relationship… have a nice day!”

Speaking of Foley, Darby Allin is downplaying the idea of a match with him: “I would never wrestle Mick. I would never wrestle against Mick. Would I team with him? Absolutely. I would team with him in a heartbeat. Just like I would never wrestle Sting. I would love to team with him. But that’s the thing for Mick to answer. What does he feel in his career that, if he would even need that, if there’s any questions unanswered? I know for Sting, all those years ago, there were many questions unanswered about how his career ended and how it wasn’t on his own terms. Does Mick still have those questions as Sting did? That remains to be seen.”

In this interview Nic Nemeth talks about winning the TNA World Title at Slammiversary: “Now I get the task of having the big target on my back as I take over carrying the reins so it was my turn to do that now. I’ve been very viable and ready to go in that position for a long time. I’ve been fortunate that, injury-wise, I’ve been good to go for 23 consecutive years and there’s a reason. With the equity and the star power in my name and my work out there. But I feel like I’m the right guy to take TNA right now and keep going in the same direction we’ve been going for a while.”

Speaking of TNA here’s the lineup for Impact tonight. (TNA)

All Japan Pro Wrestling has announced they’ll have a tribute to Joe Doering on July 19th.

A statement from Hiroshi Tanahashi: “This is Tanahashi, president of New Japan Pro Wrestling. As previously announced yesterday, June 30, all shares held by Bushiroad were transferred to TV Asahi and CyberAgent, and New Japan Pro Wrestling has become a consolidated subsidiary of TV Asahi. TV Asahi has recognized New Japan’s tradition of producing numerous star wrestlers and nurturing new talent, as well as the passion of our fans both in Japan and abroad, our global brand power, our ability to stage successful events, and the value of our video content. This year, TV Asahi broadcast two of our events on prime-time national television. Moving forward, together with our wrestlers, employees, and executives, we will continue to enhance New Japan’s appeal and corporate value so that TV Asahi will be inspired to help us grow even further. With the cooperation of CyberAgent, we believe that by making our wrestlers even more famous and helping them shine, we will fill arenas to capacity and bring joy to our fans. We are committed to working harder and with greater dedication than ever before. We ask for your continued support, everyone watching this video. Furthermore, we will cherish the relationship we have built with Stardom and continue to strive together as good rivals. Fans of both organizations, please rest assured. Now, it’s time for the new New Japan Pro Wrestling to take its first step toward the next stage. Stay tuned!”

(Headquarters: Nakano-ku, Tokyo; President: Takaaki Kidani; hereinafter ‘Bushiroad’) and the Bushiroad Group will undergo a business unit reorganization starting July 2026, which involves integrating and evolving the ‘Sports Unit’ into the ‘Live Entertainment Unit.’ As a result, STARDOM Co., Ltd. will transition into a new growth phase by becoming a business under the Live Entertainment Unit—a core business of the Bushiroad Group.
