GLORY Rivals Returns This November

GLORY, the world’s largest kickboxing promotion, is pleased to announce the return of ‘GLORY Rivals’, which gives up & coming talent and rising prospects the platform to showcase themselves to a global audience.
The first ‘GLORY Rivals’ event will see GLORY team up with leading Dutch regional promotion RingFight Promotions (RFP) on November 28 from Maaspoort Den Bosch. More details on broadcast information and fight card will follow soon.

“We are excited to relaunch GLORY Rivals and happy to work with a RFP, who have done a tremendous job in the Netherlands over the years,” said Marshall Zelaznik, GLORY CEO. “One of our main focus in GLORY is expanding our opportunities for our fighters and creating ways to create platforms where fighters and kickboxing get more exposure to our global fanbase.

“Our goal with GLORY Rivals is work with regional promotions, with a like-mind and commitment to create a healthy ecosystem that benefits fighters, fans and the business of kickboxing.”

Saïd Hamzaoui, CEO & co-founder of RFP shared his thoughts on the partnership; “For years, RFP has been committed to discovering and developing the next generation of kickboxing talent. Partnering with GLORY is the next step in that mission.

“GLORY Rivals opens a door that many fighters have been waiting for. It creates a genuine opportunity for ambitious athletes outside of GLORY to earn their shot at the biggest stage in kickboxing. For the fans, this means witnessing tomorrow’s stars before the rest of the world knows their names. This is more than an event, it’s where careers can begin, dreams become reality, and the future of kickboxing takes shape.”

The news follows GLORY’s recent reintroduction of the Grand Prix event series across multiple weight divisions earlier this year and subsequent ‘Proving Grounds’ which allows budding talent & veterans alike the opportunity to put their name forward for a life-changing opportunity at competing in a GLORY Grand Prix.

This move sees GLORY expand its multi-layer content offering. At present GLORY operates with its traditional ‘numbered’ events, which take place in medium to large sized venue, and tentpole ‘COLLISION’ event series, which are reserved for large arenas to stadium shows.

COLLISION 9 took place in early June at a sold-out Rotterdam Ahoy with almost 12,000 fans in attendance. GLORY returns after the summer break with GLORY 109 taking place on September 5 from the RTM Stage in Rotterdam.
