Rollins, Breakker, Finn Balor, CMLL, Raw, Dynamite, SmackDown, Santana, WWE PLE, Impact, Ben Askren, Jushin Liger, WWE NXT – Tuesday’s Latest Pro Wrestling News for June 2nd, 2026 (Updated)

Seth Rollins

Yesterday on Raw in Italy, Seth Rollins defeated Bron Breakker in no small part due to the fact Bron screwed up and speared Paul Heyman through a barricade.

Finn Balor was “traded to SmackDown” on Raw yesterday. It’s a bit silly though since we don’t even know who in storyline he was traded FOR. (WWE) According to Dave Meltzer they (WWE creative) “just wanted to get him away from Dominik and JD.” (WO)

WWE chose their tour of Mexico for September very purposefully to compete with and draw business away from CMLL’s 93rd Anniversary Show on September 18th. (WO) Why would they do this? Simple. They own AAA Lucha Libre, CMLL’s biggest rival in Mexico.

The matches announced for next week’s Raw are available below. (WWE)

  • King of the Ring Tournament First Round Match: Seth Rollins vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Ricky Saints vs. Talla Tonga
  • Queen of the Ring Tournament First Round Match: Becky Lynch vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Liv Morgan vs. Chelsea Green

Ratings are in for AEW last Wednesday. Dynamite did a 0.15 and 704,000 viewers, while Collision did a 0.08 and 498,000 viewers. (PI)

The last three hour SmackDown of 2026 will be on June 26th. (WO)

Mike Santana’s TNA contract is currently set to expire in July 2026. (PWI)

The plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit over ESPN and WWE PLEs are trying to compel the discovery phase of their suit to move forward. They argue that the stay be lifted because WWE can not be trusted to not destroy evidence. Conveniently another court just ruled on a very similar issue and found that WWE did destroy evidence, so this tactic may work.

Last week’s Impact on AMC did a 0.02 18-49 and 195,000 viewers. (PI)

Former UFC fighter Ben Askren is returning to combat sports against former welterweight champion Belal Muhammad for Real American Freestyle on July 18th in Milwaukee. This is almost a miracle since he had a double lung transplant last year that saved his life. It is also apparently a “one time only” deal for what it’s worth, but he fights out of Hartland, Wisconsin so it certainly makes sense for him geographically. Best wishes to him on his comeback!

Jushin Liger has been announced for WrestleCon in Minneapolis.

Here’s the card for NXT tonight. (WWE)

  • NXT Championship Match: Tony D’Angelo vs. Kam Hendrix
  • WWE Men’s Speed Championship Match: Lexis King vs. Romeo Moreno
  • Tate Wilder vs. Jackson Drake
  • Lizzy Rain vs. Zaria
  • Myles Borne & Tavion Heights vs. DarkState
