WWE star LA Knight has donated $20,000 to the Washington County, MD branch of United Way: “I was truly honored to receive the key to the city. Now, it’s my turn to give back to the community that has given me so much. I decided to make this investment because I trust United Way to allocate these funds where they are most needed. I hope that this contribution inspires others to consider how they can support our local neighbors in their own unique ways.”

Becky Lynch talks about taking a year off from wrestling before returning in 2025: “I took a year off when I felt like I was away from her too much, and it was getting too much for me. I said, ‘Hey, look, I need a bit of time for myself,’ and the company and Triple H was amazing with that. He had no problem; he understood. Seth is out injured right now, so (now) he’s getting all that daddy-daughter time. It kind of balances itself out because I’ve been on tour over here, but she’s got dad at home looking after her, and she’s got grandma out there, so it’s great. We’re very lucky.”

Will Ospreay was feeling good enough to attend Dynamite backstage on Wednesday, which may mean his timetable is moving up for an in-ring return. He had surgery on herniated discs in his neck last September and originally was estimated to be out of action for a full year. (FF)

RIP Bobby Duncum Sr.: “WWE is saddened to learn that Bobby Duncum Sr. has passed away. One of the most feared villains of the territories, the rugged cowboy from Austin, Texas, was as tough as they came. A graduate of West Texas State University, the same institution that produced Dusty Rhodes, The Funk Brothers and many other icons, Duncum was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 1967 NFL Draft and played four pro games in 1968. Carrying on the great tradition of Texas football stars turned pro wrestlers, Duncum entered the ring and became infamous for his wild street fights and brutal battles against WWE Legends like Bruno Sammartino and Bob Backlund. He was also a member of the iconic Heenan Family, led by WWE Hall of Famer Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan, in the AWA. WWE extends its condolences to Duncum Sr.’s family, friends and fans.”

KJ Orso (better known to some as Fuego Del Sol) appeared on Impact last week but as of now has not signed a contract with TNA, although he did “impress” TNA officials with his work. (FF)

Moose has an injury update: “For those who watched TNA Genesis I did suffer a serious injury. From the bottom of my heart I want to sincerely thank everyone for all their concern and get well soon wishes. My back is super stiff still at the moment but I should be ok for TNA AMC live in Albuquerque.”
