Karl Anderson says the Good Brothers are headed to New Japan again: “Our first thing out the gate, we went straight to New Japan Pro Wrestling. We have a couple of future dates with New Japan signed up. Don’t want to give that all away yet. We’re going to be with Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling at all their future shows. We just got a deal with 4th Rope Wrestling, we’re going to start showing up on their shows. We go to Paris, France next week.”
Speaking of New Japan, Fred Rosser was backstage at Dynamite this week. (FF)
Kenny Omega talks about his tribute to Masahiro Takanashi on Dynamite: “Not many know my beginning days of what started my 11 year journey in Japan. Masa Takanashi was my first roommate in the DDT Pro dormitory in 2008 and soon introduced me to future AEW athletes, Emi Sakura and Riho. A little later, Hikaru Shida as well. Whether I was full time in DDT or even NJPW, I could always count on Takanashi to help me train at a dojo somewhere. His work to help develop the indies and Joshi scene was never for any selfish reason. He just simply loves to help wherever he can and be involved in the sport of professional wrestling. I can truly say he is one of the greatest and safest professional wrestlers I’ve had a chance to work with over the years and it’s a shame that I can’t directly introduce his work to fans on an international level. But rest assured, his influence is shown in every performance of mine, no matter what promotion I represent. Takanashi now is in a dire struggle after a terrible accident in a match. He isn’t the type to seek attention, money, or gratitude, but I’m personally making a choice now to share why he has and will continue to be so special and important to me and the scene as a whole. Thanks to all who’ve read this.”
Bryan Danielson talks about responses to his dietary choices: “People come into things, especially nowadays, with a certain perspective that they are unwilling to change. People will say that to me about my vegetarianism. ‘Don’t you think plants have feelings too?’ I like that. I like these sorts of things because I like these sorts of conversations, because then you can say something like, ‘I think a carrot does probably feel things. What’s the difference between a pig and a carrot? I can’t hear a carrot scream.'”
Natalya wants Wendy Choo to get an opportunity at WWE Evolution: “Wendy Choo, I would love to see Wendy Choo at Evolution and I would love to see Wendy Choo getting a huge opportunity in WWE because the times that I’ve been at the Performance Center, Wendy Choo has been a leader backstage. She’s talented, she’s got a great attitude and I think Wendy Choo is also ready to get her opportunity. I would love to see Wendy Choo at Evolution.”

Athena would like to compete and win at All In Texas in front of her dad: “I would like for my dad to see his daughter win another title. My dad has cancer now, like we are on borrowed time – you never know if it’s gonna get worse or it’s gonna be better. It’s becoming more difficult for him to travel and the last pay-per-view that he saw me wrestle was when I was going for the AEW women’s world championship at ‘World’s End’ and he had a blast. For me and my career, it’s something that I’ve been wanting, just to assure myself that I am valuable. Sometimes you just need that physical thing to feel like you’re still valuable, that you’re still that person. I just want to do things that I haven’t done and that I haven’t yet earned. And this one will be one. I worked ROH in like 2015. I did two, three shows, and then I never got an opportunity to work with them again until now. So, I mean, it is really interesting that I go now with the ‘Forever Champion’ Athena who’s like, super freaking talented, and she’s been holding the fort there. But I think it’s time for a change.”
