In this interview Jacy Jayne talks about defending her NXT Women’s Title at WWE Evolution 2: “Oh, it’s super cool. I’m really excited about that. I remember watching the first Evolution pay-per-view, and I was like, ‘This is groundbreaking. An all-women’s show? WWE’s never done that before.’ It’s been years since we’ve done that and you know, we always say, ‘NXT has the best women’s division in the entire world’ so, I’m so happy that they’re having NXT be a part of this so we can show what our division is all about to an audience that maybe hasn’t seen us yet, and the fact that I get to represent us on that show, that’s huge for me, and I’m really excited and I’m not taking it lightly.”
Nikki Bella talks about her return on Raw: “I was of course really nervous because it’s been so long, but it was crazy. And everyone kept telling me, they’d go, ‘Nikki, the minute you walk in that arena, you’re going to feel at home, and it’s all going to come back,’ and it was so true.”
This week’s “Summer Blockbuster” edition of Dynamite and Collision from Wednesday breaks down like this: 0.17 18-49 and 597,000 viewers for the first half, 0.09 and 397K for the second half. In this interview Shinno talks about signing with Marigold: “Rossy Ogawa was a big influence. I knew that if I was going to do pro wrestling, I wanted to debut under Ogawa-san, and the fact that there was someone out there who needed me and asked me to join was the biggest deciding factor.”
Dr. Carlon Colker is not off the hook yet. Despite him trying to get a summary decision on what he called the failure to perform discovery in a timely manner for Janel Grant’s suit against him and WWE, her side is still seeking said discovery and in fact wants any and all communications between Colker or his staff and Vince McMahon or WWE as well as any possible travel that Colker and McMahon may have taken together between May 2019 and May 2022.
NXT is going to tape at the 713 Music Hall in Houston on July 22nd.
