Scott Steiner

Have you heard about the “one hundred men vs. one gorilla” meme? Scott Steiner decided to use Steiner Math to answer the question: “Let’s say you got 100 average men. No weapons. No training. Just fear in their eyes and dad bods in their way. Then you got ONE full-grown silverback gorilla – 600 pounds of pure rage, muscle, and tree-rippin’ power. Now here comes the math. Outta those 100 men, maybe 25% don’t even show up once they see the gorilla. That’s 25 cowards eliminated immediately. Then you got 33 1/3% of ’em tryin’ to talk it out—they’re done. Another 20% just stand there frozen, pissing their pants. Now you’re left with about 21 guys, panicked, half-committed, and getting LAUNCHED like lawn darts. But what if Big Poppa Pump’s in the mix? You just tipped the freakin’ scale. Now it’s not 100 men vs 1 gorilla… it’s 1 gorilla vs the Genetic Freak. And that spells disaster for that Gorilla.” Well played Scott.

Former WWE wrestler Lei Ying Lee (Xhia Zhao) will take a fight with Myriam Essalki at Combat Night MMA on May 17 in Jacksonville, Florida.

In this interview Damian Priest says he’s not fully recovered from WrestleMania: “I still haven’t recovered from Mania physically. So I’m looking at this match and I’m thinking to myself, ‘Okay, so I’m definitely gonna feel pain for a while.’ It is what it is, like I said, these are some of the heaviest hitters in the company, big guys that are mega stars right now. I’m looking forward to it because I love that physicality anyway.”

Tonight’s Dark Side of the Ring is about Billy Jack Haynes: “An 80’s wrestling star, Billy Jack Haynes’ life of violence and mystery has led to his current situation – behind bars and charged with the second degree murder of his wife. Billy Jack Haynes is now awaiting trial on serious criminal charges, facing allegations that cast a huge shadow on his legacy – his time in wrestling now just one part of a story marked with tragic turns.”

Swerve Strickland has released “Outta Control” on all streaming platforms except for YouTube, where it will debut tomorrow.

Becky Lynch addresses critics of her latest heel turn: “My nose doesn’t sit perfectly straight anymore. My shoulder is popping out. I’ve got scars on my arms. All of this because of what I’ve given to this industry. I wear the scars of what I’ve done on my body. I wear them with pride because of all I’ve given back, and these people go around and they compare me to this scummy person on earth? After everything I’ve done, and I’m the bad guy? I’m supposed to sit here and take it. I’m supposed to go, ‘Oh, I’m sorry,’ even though I didn’t do anything wrong? I broke through glass ceilings. I changed the game.”

Shelton Benjamin has a word of advice for Hulk Hogan – keep my name out of your mouth.

Rhea Ripley talks about her 2024 injuries: “When you get injured, you learn a lot about yourself and 2024 was not very kind to me, I did a grade three AC sprain and then finally came back from that, which was so tough, not being able to do things that I love like going to the gym or holding my dogs. It definitely was a mental struggle and also a physical struggle – training legs every single day was terrible, but I finally came back and I got to go for my world championship again and try and grab that back – but then I broke my orbital bone. It was just injuries flying left and right, but I learned a lot about myself in that I can pretty much overcome whatever is in my way and that’s such a strong thing to realize.”

Adam Cole talks about changing his group’s name to Paragon: “So, the Paragon, obviously, what it means is you’re the elite of the elite. You’re the best of the best. So, I feel like in so many different ways that name fits me, Kyle, and Roddy so, so well. You know, we are going in a new direction here within AEW, and I really do feel – and I think Kyle and Roddy would say this as well, I don’t mean to speak for them, but I’m pretty sure this is how they feel as well – but with all three of us together, we just bring out the best in one another. Me, Roddy, and Kyle have the exact same goal that we’ve had anywhere we’ve wrestled, and that is to take over and be a champion and kind of run the show, and that certainly is the plan.”
