In the ongoing and seemingly never-ending legal saga of Vince McMahon, WWE and John Laurinaitis being sued by Janel Grant, there’s yet another new twist. Dr. Carlon Colker, who works at Peak Wellness and was accused in Grant’s lawsuit of giving her “unapproved treatments” with “unidentified substances” at McMahon’s behest, is now suing Grant’s lawyer Ann Callis for defamation. His 41 page complaint was filed in U.S. District Court in Connecticut on Friday and says he was defamed multiple times in press releases and online press conferences. In particular he says it’s a lie that he withheld evidence in the case and that all relevant medical records were given to Grant’s legal team last summer, and that Grant did not issue any complaints about her treatment when it ended in 2022.
And speaking of McMahon, WWE shareholders are trying to force him to comply with their request for discovery in a lawsuit over TKO’s purchase/merger of WWE and UFC. Their lawsuit alleges McMahon engineered the TKO deal to his sole benefit over and beyond his fiduciary responsibility to them as company shareholders. Their filings were made in the Delaware Court of Chancery last week and if McMahon’s lawyers don’t respond by May 14th the court could automatically grant their request.
Riley Osborne had foot or ankle surgery back in March and was still waiting to get medically cleared when he got his WWE release.
Congratulations to Machine Gun Karl Anderson on 500 days of sobriety! “The Machine Gun is like 500-something days stone-cold sober. I feel great. Next level, not drinking beer. I feel great. My health is through the roof. I was one of the best wrestlers around anyway, I just never got credit for it. I was one of the best wrestlers ever and I was hungover half the time. Now that I’m not ever hungover, I feel like I’m 22 again. That’s a fucking shoot.”
Darby Allin has done a kickflip at over 20,000 feet which is a new world record. Why stop there though? Find a rail to grind on at 20,000 feet. Set up a ramp and do a 720 at 20,000 feet. Pretty much anything you can think of to do is a world record when up that high.
Gigi Dolin and Cora Jade are both hitting back at the notion that they “didn’t work hard enough” and that led to their WWE releases. Gigi: “When I wasn’t traveling to work for either of the two companies I was working for, I trained very hard 3-4 days a week, bumping my ass off and doing cardio drills with one of the best/toughest coaches I’ve worked with. And worked out every single day.” Cora: “This, plus can’t forget having to go to my own gym outside of work after ‘strength and conditioning’ that wasn’t doing anything for me other than get me body shamed by my bosses, coworkers, and fans 🙂 crazy!”

Fozzy cancelled their concert at The Royal Grove in Nebraska, with the venue claiming Chris Jericho decided “to prioritize wrestling” over keeping their scheduled date. I want to be clear though as someone who lives in the area that Fozzy and Mr. Irvine should both be given the benefit of the doubt because The Royal Grove has had many issues including overselling tickets for concerts and then not giving refunds to people who can’t get in the door for a show. It’s a pretty bad venue for a show for any performing artist.

Lyra Valkyria has a lot to say about Becky Lynch: “She liked being the idol. Even as far back as NXT, she was very helpful and gave a lot of advice. And then when she came down to NXT later, she liked being the one that was in the higher position. And then I came up to the main roster and that advice and that warmth just disappeared. And then I started to do a lot of cool things and she took some time off. I defended this title more than she’s been at work this past year. But look, Becky’s great. She’s talked herself into every opportunity she’s ever had, no matter who that hurts. That’s what she’s always been good at. I don’t think she likes that I’m now on the same platform and you saw on Monday that I’m not going to be stood on. I’m not here to be a super fan. I’ve learned I’m not here to be humble. I’m not here to be ‘okay, yeah, whatever you think is best.’ Like, I don’t care. I’ve seen people try. I’ve seen how people get ahead and I’m not having it. So at Backlash, I’m going to prove that.”
The Righteous are apparently gone from AEW/ROH. Their last match was taped April 12th and aired April 24th and they are no longer listed on the roster. (PWI)
