Jack Perry talks to VICE about his return to AEW television: “I feel great to be back. Especially under these circumstances with someone who’s one of my best friends, and I mean, so much has happened. It’s something that was always gonna happen, us coming back together. So many things have gotten in the way so for it to finally come to fruition and then get that kind of response feels great. In terms of physicality, this is the longest that I’ve gone (without wrestling) in my life since I was like 16 or 17 years old. I’m sure it’s gonna feel absolutely horrible the day after my first match back; that’s just part of the game. But I’m looking forward to it.”

Donovan Dijak has been added to MLW Slaughterhouse on October 4th.

After some controversy regarding the name “Invasion,” next week’s NXT special has been rebranded to “NXT vs. TNA Showdown” and the Invasion logo has been scrubbed from WWE’s website. (WWE)

Orange Cassidy on his relationship with Tony Khan: “He still works very close to me about what I’m doing. It’s nice to have your boss understand what you’re doing and facilitate it. I could have got pigeonholed somewhere else. It could have been the same thing we see all the other times, but I think he allowed me to do this stuff because he also knew that I wanted to wrestle, too. That was nice. I’m just very grateful to be a part of AEW and to be a part of the history. I do like that when you think of AEW, you have to at least think of me, and that feels very special.”

Woo woo woo, you know it — Matt Cardona helped Myles Borne pick up a win over Josh Briggs on WWE NXT last night. (WWE)

Jack Perry talks about the health issues for Luchasaurus: “I remember talking to him on the phone a lot during that time. He said, ‘I have this cold and can’t seem to get rid of it. I’d say for the past two or three weeks.’ He didn’t think much of it. People were saying he was tough. That it was a cold. ‘You’ll get over this.’ It turned out it wasn’t a cold but pneumonia. Thankfully, he went to the hospital when he did. He ended up collapsing and was this whole thing. They said to him, ‘if you didn’t come in right about now, there is a good chance you could have died.’ Hearing that puts things in perspective a little bit. He is one of my best friends, not just in wrestling, but the entire world. He could have just died and that would have been it. I don’t know. It was one of those things that makes you look at your own life and think about it. We got to talking when he was better about what we wanted to do. I think the way it lined up we thought it was something we had a lot of fun doing. We felt there was more meat on the bone, and we could do better this time around than we did the first time. It turned out to be hell on earth making it happen. It was the hardest thing in the world to get all the pieces together to finally do it. There were medical things, physical things, people getting in the way trying to make it not happen, but it eventually came together. It felt like it was the perfect moment when it finally did. I’m super grateful to be back and get that sort of reaction and do it with my best friend. I’m happy he is healthy now and seeing it all come together the way it did.”

Justice League and AEW are doing a two-part comic book crossover.

Tony Khan talks about the future of AEW: “As we head into the six-year anniversary show tonight, AEW is still making great memories, maybe more than ever. This year we had our highest U.S. attendance at All In Texas, which I believe was the greatest show we’ve ever done. That kind of success is only possible because AEW has the best wrestlers in the world, an incredible staff, and the most loyal fans we could ever hope for. I’m very proud that we’re celebrating six years tonight on TBS and HBO Max. I always look forward to these anniversaries, both as milestones and as opportunities to think about the future. Ten years from now, at the 16-year anniversary of Dynamite, I believe AEW will still be going strong. Our goal is to continue as the place where the best wrestle for many years to come, and I think tonight’s show will demonstrate exactly that.”
