Shotzi Blackheart

On the latest edition of Saraya’s Rulebreakers show, Shotzi Blackheart talked about her disappointment with being released by WWE: “I don’t know, I always thought that Hunter really believed in me, so it was a little disappointing. Yeah, I just felt like, dang, they gave up on me. I was in such a bad space for a few years with everything that I was going through and I was coming back from injury so much stronger, not just physically but mentally too. I was just ready to kill it coming back and I didn’t even get the opportunity to. So, I felt like they left a lot of meat on the bone, I was coming back on fire and ready to give them me, like the real me. I didn’t get the chance to show it.”

MLW has announced Matt Riddle vs. Alex Hammerstone for Slaughterhouse on October 4th.

AJ Styles told Tokyo Sports he plans to retire “within the next year.”

New reporting is that Jazmyn Nyx was making at a maximum $75,000 a year in NXT, and after paying for ring gear and travel expenses, her gross might have been under $60K before taxes. (FF) Later via Snapchat she confirmed her take home was under six figures: “Ultimately it came down to the work I was putting in and being booked for was not accurate with the amount I was being offered. And no I was not making 6 figures but that is the goal. Not specifically my injuries, but the wear and tear that the job had on my body was one of the reasons. I was wrestling for both TNA and NXT every Tuesday and on the weekends without a day off.”

Here’s a preview for this weekend’s syndicated Women Of Wrestling: “Now that Holly Swag has cemented her place not only in the Fab Four, but as one half of the WOW World Tag Team Champions alongside Penelope Pink, the backstabbing truly begins. Get your popcorn ready as we go back in time to the Twin vs Twin Match and catch all the drama that leads to the Main Event WOW World Tag Team Championship between former Fab Four family Miami’s Sweet Heat and Holly Swag and Penelope Pink! There is only room for one team to walk away with the silver championship titles… does this spell the end of the Fab Four?” (WOW)

Charlotte Flair talks about how to get on her level: “The key to being a great WWE Superstar is when you can elicit a fan response, whether positive or negative, and connect with the audience. If you can’t sell conflict through emotion, excuse my language, but no one is going to give a shit.”

The Miz says he was surprised when CM Punk apologized to him: “Yeah. I didn’t know what to expect. I remember coming down the stairs and seeing him and being like, ‘Hey.’ I didn’t know what to expect. Seeing him come back, it’s been interesting. I remember before, driving with him, but I also remember when he was at the tail end and it didn’t seem like he was a happy person. Now, I see him backstage and it’s a different person than I remember. He seems very happy. I wouldn’t even say complacent because he’s always competitive and always wants to be number one. He’s also in a position where he’s teaching a lot and there are not many of us who have been here for 20 years and have been able to teach, learn, and adapt. It’s cool to see the change and happiness.”

The Rock says he’d give UFC Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall a Rock Bottom: “There’s one answer as The Rock, which is like, I’ll rock bottom his candy ass. Then there’s the other answer, which is that I love Tom. I got a lot of respect for him. I think he would be a great WWE performer. He’s the kind of guy you just already know that he’s disciplined and committed. He’s a fan, that’s the thing. With the fighters, we’ve had a lot of fighters try to cross into WWE and it’s not always for everybody. Tom would be fun, that would be great. I’d take him, take him to lunch.”
