Speaking to Inside the Ropes, Bret Hart said Triple H is a big fat phony: “I’m not sure where I stand with Triple H. Just being honest, I never rated him. Everything he’s done and created, it’s all stuff he wrote out for himself. I wish I could have sat back in 1992 and said, ‘This is what I’m going to do for the next ten years. I’m going to win every title and I’m going to be champion 55 times or 500 times.’ I think Triple H is a phony in the sense that he never earned it and he never deserved it. He married the boss’s daughter. I wish he had been in the dressing room when I knocked Vince out. I wish that it had happened and he was in the dressing room because he might not be married to Stephanie anymore, or it might not have ever happened. There was so much anger, and Triple H was such a slimeball back in 1997. He was a guy that I had very little respect for.”
In his latest column Scott D’Amore seems to be salivating about the opportunity for someone to run a major wrestling event opposite WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia: “WrestleMania week has long been the biggest week of business for WrestleCon, the Collective and literally dozens of other promotions that have followed Mania around the U.S. for the past few decades. Again, we wait to see what the reality is, but if one night is in the U.S., that’s a huge void other promotions can fill. It would be ironic if someone else ran a major event and took advantage of WWE abandoning the traditional WrestleMania market.”
Josh Barnett is participating in a match in Bloodsport London against Oli Thompson on Sept. 28th. One a former World’s Strongest Man competitor and MMA fighter. The other, the youngest UFC Heavyweight champion of all time and a Catch Wrestler trained by Billy Robinson and Karl Gotch. Oli Thompson vs Josh Barnett for Bloodsport – London! Get your tickets to see this event the only way – LIVE!”
