In the lawsuit against Cody Rhodes, WWE and Fanatics over the “American Nightmare” name being used in an unapproved way, the judge has responded to a joint motion from all parties back on May 31st requesting an extension in the case. In short the defendants must respond by September 26th, a hearing is set for October 10th, and a conference for scheduling is set for October 31st. The plaintiff in the case is Wesley Eisold, frontman for the band called American Nightmare, and his argument is that he permitted Rhodes to use the name as long as his merchandise carried “indica” denoting that he is a wrestler. He alleges that WWE broke that agreement by selling merchandise that simply says “American Nightmare” without any reference to either Rhodes or pro wrestling.
It appears that The Rock is in love with his ‘Final Boss’ character according to WWE Unreal: “The Final Boss. The greatest heel professional wrestling has seen. Insurmountable antagonist. There is nothing the Final Boss can’t do. There’s nothing the Final Boss can’t say. Becoming this new version has been the most gratifying decision that I’ve ever made.”
Also on WWE Unreal Chelsea Green talked about her character leading up to her winning the women’s US Title: “I would say my character is a Karen. I think my role is to provide entertainment and that is in the form of comedic relief and selling for the girls. Selling is the art of taking someone’s move. It’s the way that you take that move and you make it look brutal. For someone to win, somebody else has to lose. Guess what? I’ll be the loser if that means being booked every day. You want me to pour salsa and cake on my head? Say less. We’re getting paid a lot of money to look like assholes. I’m ok with that. As much as I talk about ‘winning doesn’t matter’, obviously, of course, as a wrestler, we have goals. We set timelines for ourselves and of course, one of the goals is always to be a WWE champion. Obviously as a female in wrestling, I have thought about what it would look to be in a WrestleMania or win a championship. So I have the perfect outfit set aside that I have been dreaming about wearing.”

Becky Lynch says Bianca Belair winning the title back from her was awesome: “I remember the eruption when Bianca won and she won in such a cool way. Not the slickest victory of all time, but maybe like one OF the slickest victories, you know, she back flipped out of the Rock Bottom into the K-O-D. That was pretty special too. It was the exact outcome you wanted. You wanted to root for Bianca, you wanted to hate me, you wanted to feel like she was robbed and had something to come back from. And she did. And we had a wonderful story for a full year. I think if you’re still looking back at (SummerSlam 2021) as unfavorable, you kind of missed the story of it, you know?”
