Even though CM Punk won the gauntlet match on Raw to earn a title shot against Gunther at SummerSlam, Seth Rollins’ henchmen Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed tried to make him pay for it with a post match beatdown. Jey Uso ran out to even the odds, but the big boys seemed to have the upper hand until Roman Reigns returned to overwhelm the Rollins crew by hitting the superman punch on everyone. He helped Jey back to his feet and although he and Punk weren’t exactly besties, he did at least give him a nod of respect before the show ended. (WWE)
The start of Raw last night saw Naomi come out to gloat about her successful cash-in of Money in the Bank at Evolution on Sunday. Rhea Ripley came out to confront her and say that she had two goals — finally beat IYO SKY and get her world title back. Because Naomi denied her both of those things she “just made the list” a la Chris Jericho. This brought out IYO who told her with all due respect, I’m the one who lost the title when she cashed in. Naomi told them both to shut up and go to the back of the line, and before it could get physical, Adam Pearce announced a rematch with all three women for SummerSlam. (WWE)
