6/7/2025. There’s going to be a collision of two worlds as the luchadores of AAA battle WWE and NXT superstars! We’ll get plenty of in-ring action now that WWE has acquired Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide and a unity has made this show a dream come true for a lot of people. Both WWE and AAA have championships on the line today. Who will showcase their talent the most, and will they come out for the better as these Worlds Collide? WWE Worlds Collide emanates from Los Angeles at the KIA Forum. Rey Mysterio narrates the opening video package in Spanish with English subtitles. We see Rey Mysterio, Stephanie Vaquer, Lola Vice, Chad Gable, and El Hijo Del Vikingo had entered the building. Corey Graves is on commentary for this event, and he’s joined by the one and only Konnan! We also have the Spanish commentary team of WWE’s Marcelo Rodriguez alongside AAA’s José Manuel Guillén and Roberto Figueroa. “Hacemos historia hoy hermanos!”
We go to the ring we have NXT Talent Relations “HBK” Shawn Michaels alongside the President of AAA Marisela Peña, as well as the COO of WWE Paul “HHH” Levesque. Mexican singer-songwriter Deyra Barrera is in the ring to sing the Mexican National Anthem. Lilian Garcia is in the ring next to sing the American National Anthem. Both singers were amazing!
WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio comes out to the ring high-fiving fans, posing for pictures and signing autographs along the way. Rey takes a moment to look at and admire the AAA logo right next to the WWE logo on the mat in the middle of the ring, and that’s the first thing he mentions on the microphone saying it’s incredible to see. 31 years ago in Los Angeles was the first Worlds Collide in 1994, and now in 2005 we see Worlds Collide between WWE and Lucha Libre AAA World Collide. Rey says he thought lucha libre would only be seen in Mexico, but he’s proud to be a part of this history being made where now everybody worldwide can see lucha libre! Time for our first match! Rey Mysterio welcomes each competitor in the ring with handshakes and hugs showing respect to all. After the entrances, we see WWE Womens Tag Team Champion Liv Morgan and WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio in the front row, not showing much respect.
* Mr. Iguana, Aerostar, & Octagón Jr. vs. Lince Dorado & LWO
All six men (and one plushie iguana hand puppet) are in the ring at the bell. Octagón Jr. and Cruz Del Toro will start the match, they shake hands, lock up collar-and-elbow, Del Toro with a rear waistlock, Octagón counters with a hammerlock, Del Toro counters with a snapmare, they do a knuckle lock, Octagón does a victory roll for 1, Del Toro with a side headlock and a shoulder block, they duck and dodge and block each others swings and attacks, trading armdrags, leg sweeps, and they have a standoff to applause.
Mr. Iguana and Lince Dorado tag in, and Iguana gets a loud chant in his name. They lock up, Dorado with a waistlock, armdrag, and kips up looking for a handshake. Iguana sniffs the hand, Dorado with a side headlock, slaps his chest, and Iguana is on his back with all for limbs upwards, then he does a tilt-a-whirl armdrag. Iguana looks for the plushie iguana called La Yesca, uses it to bite Dorado’s hand, does a springboard armdrag, leapfrogs over him, bounces off the ropes for another armdrag, Dorado does an armdrag, Iguana places La Yesca on Dorado and does his own count, Dorado kicks out at 2, the ref catches La Yesca and gives it back to Iguana! What a sequence!
Aerostar and Dragon Lee both tag in flipping over the ropes at the same time, and they shake hands as well. They lock up, Dragon Lee with a side headlock, shoulder block, Aerostar slaps his chest, Dragon Lee cartwheels out of a headscissors, Aerostar lands on his feet from a snapmare, trips him on the ropes, Dragon slams his head on the top turnbuckle, kicks him in the head, Aerostar kicks him back, hits a tornillo from the top rope and gets a 1-count. Dragon kicks him upside-down, Aerostar dumps him over the ropes, both Iguana and Octagón hit running hurricanranas to Del Toro and Dorado, they hit them with tope con hiros, then Aerostar hits Dragon Lee with a tope suicida! “This is awesome! This is awesome!”
Aerostar gets Lee back into the ring, goes up top, Dragon gets the knees up to block the dive, covers for 2, Del Toro tags in, hits a back elbow, and he tags out as he does a springboard moonsault off the bottom rope. Dorado hits a running splash for a 1-count, Aerostar fights him off, Dorado rakes his back, hits a backstabber, covers for 1, Dragon tags back in, Aerostar lands on his feet, but Dragon hits a pump knee to the jaw, then Aerostar dropkicks him and both men are down. Del Toro and Mr. Iguana get the hot tags, they trade punches and chops, Del Toro slips through the ropes, jumps over him from the top rope, dropkicks him in the knee, and does a rolling magistral cradle for a 2-count.
Iguana counters a suplex with a spinning facebuster, grabs La Yesca, who ends up on Dorado’s hand, and does a diving hurricanrana to Dragon Lee. Dorado throws La Yesca down and stomps on it, hits an elbow drop, even gives it a standing Spanish Fly, and kicks it away! The crowd boos Dorado heavily, Mr. Iguana gets angry, hits a helicopter tilt-a-whirl headscissors, and whips each man with La Yesca. This has no affect on them as they corner him, Iguana tosses La Yesca for a “hot potato” between each man, and all three hit a triple superkick to Iguana! Dorado hits a handspring double stunner to Aerostar and Octagón. Dragon kicks Iguana in the head into the tree of woe, hits the double stomp, and connects with the tope con giro to Octagón! Dorado splashes onto Iguana, Del Toro makes the cover, and Aerostar splashes onto him to break the count!
Dorado tosses Aerostar out the ring, gets the tag, Octagón tags in, kicks Dorado in the head, pushes him off the ropes, but Dorado kicks him in the head, brings him up to the top, and he hits a TOP ROPE HURRICANRANA!! Aerostar catches Dorado with a springboard rolling cutter, Dragon superkicks Aerostar, Iguana headbutts Lee, then Cruz Del Toro runs the ropes for a missile dropkick to Iguana! Dragon Lee takes out Iguana with a running hurricanrana over the ropes to the floor, Aerostar takes out Lee with a springboard dive, then Del Toro follows up with a running springboard tornillo onto the group outside! Inside the ring, Octagón and Dorado go at it, Octagón side-steps him, kicks him in the head, headbutt to the chin, delivers the TOP ROPE MOONSAULT FALLAWAY SLAM, and covers for 3!! WINNERS: MR. IGUANA, AEROSTAR & OCTAGÓN JR.!
What an opening match! Hold up – Dominik Mysterio is on the mic. “I see that you happen to be a big Rey Mysterio fan. But you seem to forget that he’s a deadbeat, and I am your champion. Como tú eres fan de ese Rey Mysterio, tú también eres una basura como él.” Octagón gets in Dom’s face at ringside, Mysterio says he’s the champion so he can’t be touched, then he shoves him away, which prompts Octagón Jr. to pull him over the barricade and starts wailing on him! Dom scurried into the ring and they start brawling until they get pulled apart! Liv is in the ring to calm Dom down, but they keep fighting! Dom gets back on the microphone and shouts, “I’ll see you at Money in the Bank! Hey, I’ll make sure I put this on the line! So I’ll see you tonight!” Dom will defend the Intercontinental Championship at Money in the Bank!
We get a video package all about how Antonio Peña founded AAA, and it’s now a global phenomenon. We see AAA lucha libre legends Mascarita Sagrada and Latin Lover in the crowd. Hip-hop artist That Mexican OT is also in the crowd. Backstage, Chuey Martinez is here to interview Legado Del Fantasma about their match. They all plan to prove that with their legacy behind them, they have the will to get it done. They’re ready to prove to the world that with familia and legado they will succeed.
We get a video package for Stephanie Vaquer and her history with Dalys and Chic Tormenta, and Lola Vice had agreed to be Stephanie’s partner for this match. We see Women’s World Champion Iyo Sky as well as WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton are in the crowd!
* Dalys & Chic Tormenta vs. Lola Vice & Stephanie Vaquer
Dalys and Stephanie will start the match, Dalys uses her power early on, gets a 2-count off a pinning combination, Stephanie with a sunset flip for a 1-count, they wrestle around, Dalys counters the Devil’s Kiss by powering up into an electric chair and drops her on the top turnbuckle. Chic Tormenta tags in, they do a tandem wheelbarrow bulldog, Tormenta covers for 2, hits a short-arm clothesline, Stephanie delivers a snap suplex, and tags out. Lola trips her in the ropes, Stephanie follows up with the 619, Lola hits an axe kick to the back, and covers for 2. Tormenta hits a discus forearm, takers Vice down, and floats over into the half crab. Lola kicks her off, does a tilt-a-whirl headscissors, and kicks her a couple of times.
Dalys tags in, Lola hits rapid-fire kicks, hits the running Latina hip attack to both women, covers Dalys for 2, then puts her in the cross armbreaker, but Dalys reverses to a pin for 2. Lola strikes back, fights of fboth women, but Dalys dropkicks her in the back, Tormenta clotheslines Vice on the outside behind the ref’s back, then she gets in Tiffany Stratton’s face at ringside. Dalys plants Vice with a sit-out gourdbuster in the middle of the ring, covers for 2, clotheslines her in the corner, tags out, and whips Vice into a powerslam by Tormenta, who then pins her for 2 and puts her in a surfboard stretch. Tormenta drops her with a reverse DDT, covers for 2, hits a running European uppercut in the corner, Dalys tags in and dropkicks her in the back of the head. Dalys gets a 2-count, body slams her, but Lola avoids the elbow drop and tries to crawl to her corner. Lola blocks a suplex, fights off both women, Dalys slaps her on the chest, Lola counters a suplex with an inside cradle for 2, and finally makes the hot tag!
Stephanie hits a diving crossbody, hits Eat Defeat, slams Tormenta’s head on the turnbuckles, hits running knees, gives Dalys a dragon screw in the ropes, covers for 2, they chop each other, and Stephanie delivers a back suplex. Stephanie ducks a clothesline from Tormenta, Lola superkicks her, and both Lola and Stephanie do simultaneous DEVIL’S KISS TO BOTH WOMEN, then Lola wipes out Tormenta with a cannonball off the apron! Dalys blocks the SVB, tilt-a-whirls her onto her shoulders, Stephanie counters with a victory roll, gets a 2-count, hits the SVB, and covers for 3!! WINNERS: STEPHANIE VAQUER & LOLA VICE!!
Vero Rodriguez is in the ring to interview the winners. Lola says she’s happy to represent her culture at Worlds Collide with her friend La Primera. Stephanie is asked if she has energy to compete at Money in the Bank later in the same evening, and she says she has energy for any challenge with motivation and energy from the people. “Yo soy La Primera, pero despues esta noche, me van a conocer como Ms. Money in the Bank.”
Chuey Martinez is backstage to interview Chad Gable about his match later on, and Chad claims that even though the luchadores may not like him, he thinks that the Mexican people love him. He thinks the people are embracing him as well as El Grande Americano, and claims he will win the title.
We get a video package for Legado Del Fantasma coming together to compete at Worlds Collide, then we get words from Psycho Clown where he reminds Santos Escobar that he was in the match at Triplemania when Santos lost his mask in front of the Mexican fans. Next we get words from El Hijo del Dr. Wagner and Pagano. CHAVO GUERRERO is in the crowd, as well as the WWE Tag Team Champions The Street Profits are also here in the crowd.
* Legado Del Fantasma vs. El Hijo Del Dr. Wagner Jr., Pagano & Psycho Clown
El Hijo Del Dr. Wagner Jr. starts the match against Berto, they lock up collar-and-elbow, Berto takes control early, El Hijo puts him in a side headlock, hits a shoulder block, Berto leapfrogs over him, and El HIjo does a headscissors and an armdrag into an armbar. Berto backs him to his corner, Angel tags in, Los Garzas team up on him, Angel hits a big punch and covers for a 1-count. El Hijo battles back, Psycho Clown tags in, hits a diving crossbody off the top, hits a pop-up elbow, hits a powerslam, and covers for 1. Pyscho Clown clubs Angel on the back, superkick to Berto, delivers a stacked German suplex to both men, and covers Angel for 2. Psycho Clown steps onto the apron, hits a tope suicida onto Escobar, gets back in the ring, and makes Los Garza collide into each other.
Pagano tags in, goes up top, hits a missile dropkick, flapjack to Berto, Angel ties him in the ropes to chop him, Pagano sends Berto out the ring, clotheslines Angel out the ring, but then Santos saves Berto from a tope con hilo making Pagano splat onto the floor! Angel gets Pagano back into the ring, covers for 2, hits a back elbow, Santos tags in, Berto tags in, and they hit TRIPLE kicks to Pagano! Berto covers for 2, body slams him, reverse rolling thunder moonsault, 2-count, and chokes him on the ropes. Santos and Angel get in some cheap shots behind the ref’s back. Santos tags in, stomps on his head, snapmare into a double wristlock, Pagano fights him off, hits a running blockbuster, and both men are down. Santos pulls him away, Pagano kicks him off, and Santos tags out to Berto while Pagano makes the hot tag.
Psycho Clown clotheslines Berto, pop-up slam, pops up Angel into the turnbuckles, sets him up in the tree of woe, hits the basement dropkick to Angel, back elbow to Escobar, and the Code Red to Berto for 2.5! Santos tags back in, El Hijo tags back in, they slap each other, Santos with a back kick, El Hijo clotheslines Escobar, headbutt and dragon screw to Berto, and a dragon screw to Angel. Pagano hits Angel with the tope con hilo, El Hijo hits Berto with the tope con hiro, and Psycho Clown hits Escobar with the plancha tornillo!
All six men crawl back into the ring, they have a 6-man stand-off, and it turns into a hockey fight! El Hijo hits Escobar with a big boot, running step-up knee in the corner, delayed falcon arrow, and Angel breaks up the count with a dropkick to the back. Berto tags in, sets him up on the top, chops him, Angel tags in, Santos tags in after, and Los Garzas deliver a double military press slam off the top! Psycho Clown hits Berto with the PSYCHO DRIVER ON THE APRON! Angel kicks Pagano away, hits Psycho Clown with the diving moonsault to the floor, and Pagano takes him down with the diving crossbody off the top to the floor below. El Hijo Del Dr. Wagner hits Escobar with a big boot, hits a running cannonball off the steel steps, gets him back into the ring, makes the cover, and Angel saves the match. Psycho Clown hits Angel with the sit-out powerbomb, Berto drops Clown with a springboard kick to the head, Pagano catches Berto with a diving Codebreaker from the middle ropes, Angel wipes out Pagano, then Berto tackles every man through the barricade! Meanwhile in the ring, El Hijo knocks Santos down with the running knee, covers, and gets a near-fall! El Hijo channels Eddie Guerrero, but takes his time going up top that Santos cuts him off with a kick to the head, headbutts him, delivers a SUPER ‘RANA, and covers for 2.5! El Hijo escapes the Phantom Driver, rolls him up for 2, Escobar hits a running knee, drops him with the PHANTOM DRIVER, and gets the 3-count!! WINNERS: LEGADO DEL FANTASMA!
We get a video package for the first When Worlds Collide pay-per-view featuring lucha libre legends like El Perro Aguayo, Eddie Guerrero, Konnan, La Parka and Rey Mysterio, Jr. This show helped the careers of wrestlers to advance and succeed in WWE and WCW.
Backstage, Vero Rodriguez interviews Hijo Del VIkingo on his match coming up, and he says he’s nervous for this match. He says he’s ready to fly and defend his championship in front of his fans. Savio Vega and Damian Priest are in the crowd! Blue Demon is also sitting front row in the crowd. Lilian Garcia does the proper title match introductions in the middle of the ring.
* NXT North American Championship – Fatal 4-Way Match:
Je’Von Evans vs. Laredo Kid {AAA World Cruiserweight Champion} vs. Rey Fenix vs. Ethan Page {C}
All three challengers face the champion, making him nervous to try to exit the ring, but he’s caught and kicked and dropkicked out the ring. Laredo Kid gives Evans an armdrag, does a springboard headscissors to Rey Fenix, and straight punches Page off the apron. Evans kicks Laredo Kid in the side of the head and Fenix clotheslines him out the ring. Evans rolls Fenix up for 2, they trade forearm smashes and chest slaps, Evans bounces off the ropes with an armdrag, Fenix walks the ropes for a springboard armdrag, and Evans lands on his feet from an hurricanrana.
Page shoves both men into each other, Laredo Kid gives him a running hurricanrana, Fenix catches Laredo Kid with a middle rope diving hurricanrana, then Page surprisingly gives Fenix a hurricanrana! Evans bounces off the ropes for a hurricanrana to Page, dropkicks him out the ring, Fenix slaps Evans on the chest and hits the rebound spider kick. Fenix goes up top, Laredo Kid cuts him off, Page and Evans battle on the floor, Laredo Kid hits them with a high diving moonsault from the top, and Fenix lands on all of them with a tornillo!
Fenix gets Page back into the ring, hits a slingshot tornado DDT, covers for 2, sets him on the top rope, but Evans kicks Fenix in the back to block the Mexican Muscle Buster. Evans sets up for a superplex to Page, but Laredo Kid kicks him in the head, palm strike to Page, meets him up there, but Page counters Laredo Kid with a top rope body slam right onto Evans! Page hits a diving splash onto Evans, covers, gets a 2-count, hits a ripcord powerslam, covers, and Fenix breaks up the count. Laredo Kid ducks the spider kick, forearm smash to Fenix, delivers the Michinoku Driver, hits the springboard twisting moonsault to Fenix, forearm smash to Page, hits a flipping DDT to Fenix, and now Evans breaks up the count! “This is awesome! This is awesome!”
Laredo Kid gives Evans a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, goes up top, Evans trips him up into the tree of woe, ducks a kick from Page, bounces off the ropes to give him a German suplex, then attacks him with a dive over the top rope onto the Spanish announce table! Evans goes up top, looking at Laredo Kid still in the tree of woe, then hits him with a somersault kick across the ring! Evans bounces off the ropes to kick Fenix in the head, hits the springboard cutter, covers, and Page pulls him back to save his title! Evans grabs the champion, Page snaps the rope into Evans on the throat, throws him into Laredo Kid, gets back in the ring, Fenix dropkicks him, hits the Adios Amigo running kick on the top rope, gamengiri to the back of Laredo Kid’s neck, and does a springboard armdrag into a double stomp. Fenix kicks Evans multiple times, hits the Fenix Driver, and gets 2.9! Fenix, Laredo Kid and Page all kick each other, then Evans drops Page with a springboard clothesline!
Evans is back up to his feet first, slaps Laredo Kid on the chest in a corner, sets up for a Spanish Fly, but he’s cut off and sent out the ring, Page sets up for the Ego’s Edge, but Fenix lands on the top turnbuckle, kicks Page in the head, and delivers the Spanish Fly to Laredo Kid! Page rolled away to avoid the landing, grabs Laredo Kid for the Ego’s Edge, covers, and Evans breaks it up with a springboard body splash across Page’s back! “Evans from the heavens!” The crowd chants how awesome this is, Laredo Kid strikes Evans with several kicks and big punch, Evans strikes back with a jumping punch, blocks Twisted Grin and superkicks Page, then Page sacrifices Laredo Kid to suffer the springboard cutter by Evans! The champ throws Evans out the ring colliding into Fenix, hits Laredo Kid with the TWISTED GRIN, and covers for the 1-2-3 to retain his title!! WINNER and STILL NXT NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPION: ETHAN PAGE!
That was a hell of a match with a hectic finish! We get a video promoting Triplemania, the Mexican lucha libre equivalent to WrestleMania. The first Triplemania took place on April 30, 1993; this year Triplemania XXXIII takes place on August 16.
Next we get a video package to highlight the next match, now making this main event match a title match for the Mega Championship. Chad Gable wants the championship claiming this will be the shortest reign in AAA history, but Hijo Del Vikingo is not ready to give him his title reminding everyone that last time he was champion is was for 833 days. Both competitors are ready and walking the halls to make their entrances. We see Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias in the front row sitting behind Corey Graves. After the entrances, Lilian Garcia does the proper title match introductions.
* AAA Mega Championship: Chad Gable vs. Hijo Del Vikingo {C}
The bell dings, the main event is underway, they lock up, Gable takes an arm, wrenches it, VIkingo escapes and takes him down. Gable escapes an arm wrench, drop toe hold, sits on him with an armbar, Vikingo takes him down, ties him up, Gable escapes and rolls him up in la mahistral cradle for 2. Vikingo takes him down, Gable with a fireman’s carry, puts him in an armbar, Vikingo reverses, shoulders down for a 1-count, and they have a stand-off. The crowd does a dueling chant for Gable, they do a knuckle lock test of strength, Gable backs him down, Vikingo powers back up, Gable floats him over, Vikingo gets his shoulders down twice for 1-counts, Gable pops him into a body scissors, 2-count, Vikingo in a modified armbar, and Gable counters into the ankle lock until Vikingo kicks him off.
Gable with a throat chop, mocks his opponent, delivers a back suplex, covers for 2, gets on the middle ropes, Vikingo catches him in mid-air, Gable counters, Vikingo counters a powerbomb, Gable sends him to the corner but Vikingo slips through the ropes and Gable hits the ringpost shoulder-first. Vikingo hits a missile dropkick to the shoulder, yanks on his shoulder, hits a twisting headscissors, running meteora in the ropes, they fall out the ring, Vikingo goes up top, walks the ropes a couple steps, and hits a 630 SPLASH FROM THE TOP ROPE TO THE FLOOR ACROSS GABLE’S BACK!! That was incredible! Vikingo throws his challenger back into the ring and covers for a near-fall.
Vikingo dropkicks him through the ropes on the other side, steps on the apron, but Gable gets his knees up to block the shooting star press and throws him into the steel steps. Gable takes control of the match now, brings out a table from under the ring, sets it up at ringside, VIkingo blocks a German suplex, switches the waistlock, picks him up on his shoulder, Gable slips off, Vikingo with a back kick to the jaw, and Gable clotheslines him turning him inside-out. Gable throws him back into the ring, covers for 2, mounted punches, gives him a monkey flip, and covers for 2. Gable puts him in an abdominal stretch, Vikingo escapes with a flip kick, Gable takes him down with a throat chop, delivers a German suplex with a bridge and gets a 2-count. He suplexes the champ on the top rope, boots him in the head, covers for 2, chops and slaps to the chest, gets his own chest slapped, but then he applies an armbar over the ropes, goes up top, and Vikingo counters with a Codebreaker in mid-air.
Vikingo slaps him on the chest, forearms, bounces off the ropes to strike back, kicks him in the back hanging on the ropes, goes up top, hits a diving double foot stomp, and gets a 2-count. Gable tosses him onto the apron, Vikingo hits a gamengiri, stands on the middle rope outside the ring, then hits a TWISTING 450 SPLASH and gets a near-fall! Gable catches him off the handspring into the Gory Special into a DDT, covers, and gets a 2-count. Vikingo rolls away from a diving moonsault, Gable lands on his feet, Vikingo goes up top, Gable cuts him off with a palm strike, and delivers a TOP ROPE SIT-OUT POWERBOMB!!! Gable covers, 1-2-KICKOUT!! Gable starts talking to himself, Vikingo fights him off, crotches him on the top rope, dropkicks him from the middle ropes, stands on the top of the ringpost, and hits A DIVING MEXICAN DESTROYER ON THE APRON!!! Vikingo rolls him back into the ring and covers for 2.9!
Vikingo brings him back out the ring, places him on the table that Gable set up at ringside, goes up top, and Gable pushes him off to the floor. Gable puts the champ on the table, goes up top himself, and hits the DIVING MOONSAULT FROM THE TOP ROPE THROUGH THE TABLE ON THE FLOOR!! The referee starts his count, both men stir at 7, and both are back in at 9! They slap each other, forearms, Gable ducks the roundhouse kick, and applies the ANKLE LOCK! Vikingo powers back up, Gable for a German suplex, Vikingo lands on his feet, hits the spin kick to the head, hits the POISON ‘RANA OFF THE MIDDLE ROPES, connects with the meteora, goes up top, hits the 630 SPLASH, AND COVERS FOR 3 TO RETAIN!!! WINNER and STILL AAA MEGA CHAMPION: HIJO DEL VIKINGO!!!
