Phil Brooks

In this interview Phil “CM Punk” Brooks talks about trying to make himself and everybody around him better: “I always tried to step up. So it’s not so much I’m trying to force other people to step up, I just think we all recognize that, you know, this is fleeting; I could step outside, get hit by a bus, so we all want everything we’re doing to be at a very high level, you know, we set the bar pretty high for ourselves. So I think we’re all chasing that; we’re all trying to… I’m trying to rise to other people’s levels; if they’re trying to rise to whatever they perceive mine to be, great. Then we just have a bunch of motivated people that want to put out the best possible product.”

Mercedes Mone says she was approached for Queen of the Ring: “Before AEW Revolution, I made my way to LA for the red carpet premiere of ‘Queen of the Ring,’ a film that tells the incredible story of Mildred Burke. It’s truly surreal for me. A couple of years back, I was approached to be a part of this project, but unfortunately, I was sidelined due to an injury. However, seeing my girls Trinity, Toni Storm, and Kamille shine in this film fills me with so much joy. Let’s be real: women have always had to work ten times harder than men to get noticed in this industry. And when you look back at Mildred Burke’s era – wow! It was a whole different ballgame. I have immense respect for the trailblazers who laid the groundwork for women like me to build empires in this sport. I’m beyond excited for everyone to see this movie and to continue embracing women’s wrestling in all its glory. And, of course, you know I had to bring the heat on the red carpet! Anytime there’s a chance to showcase my style, I’m all in. This time, I channeled a 90s vibe with a touch of Pamela Anderson. My amazing makeup and hair artist absolutely nailed it! So don’t forget to hit the theaters and catch ‘Queen of the Ring.'”

Lio Rush filed a trademark for the term “CRU” on March 7th. On the same day All Elite Wrestling filed for “AEW Spring Breakthru.” (FF)

Sadly it seems that charges against Thomas Wansaw, the former AEW wrestler known as Bear Boulder, will not be filed. “COMES NOW the State of Florida, by and through the undersigned Assistant State Attorney and states that: 1. From the investigation which has been made, it is the opinion of the writer that this case is not suitable for prosecution. 2. This action is taken to clear the records and to release subject’s bond if any has been posted responsive to the above charge(s). If in custody, defendant should be released. PROVIDED THERE ARE NO OTHER CHARGES OR HOLDS AGAINST HIM. The victim of the strangulation incident previously filed a statement requesting he not be prosecuted. The document was signed on January 15 and added to court records on February 28. The victim noted: I am by the execution of this document, advising the State Attorney’s Office, Orange County, Florida that I do not desire the case to be prosecuted further, and request the charges be dismissed.” (PWI)
