Braun Strowman

If you follow wrestling news you won’t be surprised that there was a post-WrestleMania bloodletting of talent, nor that it was done on a Friday. Braun Strowman, Shayna Baszler, Dakota Kai, Kayden Carter, Katana Chance, Cora Jade, Gigi Dolin, Eddy Thorpe, Riley Osborne, Jakara Jackson, Wolfgang, Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, and broadcast personality Ryan Pappolla were all released from their WWE contracts. (PWI) Whether they have a “90 day no compete” or are free and clear to work for anybody anywhere else immediately is not yet known.

Last night on SmackDown Aleister Black picked up his first WWE win since his return. After hitting The Miz with Black Mass, he had a staredown with Carmelo Hayes.

A new report says that TNA has banned both blading and “excessive blood” in their wrestling matches. In addition Eric Tompkins and Ross Forman were both promoted to Vice Presidents in the company. Tompkins is the Director of TV Production and Forman is in Media Relations. (PWI)

Cora Jade is now Elayna Black, the name she used before WWE.

Scott D’Amore talks about fans cheering for heels: “Let the audience make whatever noise it wants, as long as it makes plenty of it. But here’s where it gets tricky: It is OK for your heels to be so bad they are cool. It is not OK for your babyfaces to be presented as so ineffective, so weak, that they look impotent and dumb.”
