In this interview Swerve Strickland predicts there will be no WWE x AEW in his lifetime: “No. Not in my lifetime at least. It’s control. It’s all about marketing. It’s like the NFL, WWE has to protect their shield. There’s no way they’d allow any of our wrestlers to look better and be better (than them). Obi Femi is a world beater. You gotta protect that and make sure he keeps looking good. Gunther, have to protect that. Roman, have to protect that. Cody, have to protect, even more so because of AEW. There’s a lot of that happening.”
Even though WWE/TKO are still publicly saying Crown Jewel is taking place in Riyadh on November 7th, the US embassy and all of their staff have been ordered to leave the country for their own safety. Reportedly Jordan, Qatar and Bahrain also told their embassies to vacate the premises too. At this point the only people who still think Crown Jewel taking place is a good idea are the people who want to pad the quarterly earnings report for TKO at the expense of the safety of contracted talent and employees.
Sunil Singh (Gurv Sihra) of the Bollywood Boyz has a health update: “The road to recovery continues. X-Rays show my lungs are back to normal & there is very little air bubbles left in my chest-cavity from the collapsed lung. I still can’t fly at the moment, however, I should be cleared soon. Thank you all for your continued love & support.”
Clark Connors says The Dogs pitched being the Raw Dogs to AEW but if you’re aware of what “raw dogging it” is a euphemism for it’s not shocking they turned that one down. Speaking of Connors and David Finlay though, they turned on Gabe Kidd and aligned with Bang Bang Gang on Dynamite. (AEW)

In this interview Ilja Dragunov talks about how it felt to sign with AEW: “It lets my heart beat faster, and I feel like I re-fell in love with professional wrestling in some kind of way. The experience that I’ve had so far is having people around me that really want to portray everything that is going on in my mind, that really understand what I’m doing. They want to enhance what I’m doing and they want to put it into the right light, what I’m doing. And I feel if you can describe it with some word, I feel freedom.”
Dominik Mysterio talks about the Street Fighter x WWE 2K collaboration: “I’ve been in a couple of 2K games with WWE the past couple years now, but this is special. It’s Street Fighter, it’s not only a DLC pack that you have to pre-order and get separately, but also they made it an action figure. I have a couple at the house, and it’s in, like, an old arcade-style box, and they’re super cool. I have a couple in my game room, and it’s just cool to be a part of the whole Street Fighter franchise.”
