In a health update posted to social media, Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts says he quit smoking: “Yes, I’m on oxygen. Why? Because I was a fool and because of genetics. Genetically, I was given an emphysema and COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). Like a fool with bad habits that I picked up along my way, smoking. I smoked for fifty frigging years, man. But I quit. I quit five weeks ago. I’m sticking with it. No brainer, right? There’s a procedure they can do, but you’ve got to be clean for six months before they do it. They will help me get off oxygen. So, thumbs up. We’re all good here. Going to be around for a long time so get used to it. You have to put together a different kind of list, I guess a survivor list. See you around.”
