Although not named in their press release yesterday, Sami Callihan was one of the people let go by TNA as part of their “workforce reduction.” He retired from in-ring work in 2023 but was popular and well liked as a producer/agent backstage, had designed and produced a lot of their recent merchandise, and was even someone talent vocally advocated to be part of the creative team. I’m sad to say that Pete Doherty a/k/a “The Duke of Dorchester” has passed away at 85. No cause of death has been announced. My condolences to his family, friends, and fans. Well known as an enhancement talent, his last in-ring bout was at a July 19th, 1992 WWE live event in Hyannis, Massachusetts against the man who would later better be known as Konnan.
