In this interview Adam Copeland (Cope f/k/a Edge) talks about John Cena retiring and whether he’s pondered retirement too: “No, because I already beat them to the punch about 15 years ago. I already had one. My dream scenario would be as a heel and to get dragged out of the building kicking and screaming. I just show up and have fun. I don’t put any parameters and pressures on it. It’s the job I’ve wanted to do since I was a kid. It’s the type of thing that if I can feel I can still do it, I’ll do it. Is the end closer than the beginning? Absolutely. Of course, but I can’t say I think about it a lot. Honestly, when I’m home away from wrestling I don’t think about wrestling.”
Last night on SmackDown, Pat McAfee announced a 25% discount on WrestleMania tickets that lasts through Raw on Monday. Think that makes him a good guy? Think again. He and Randy Orton beat down Cody Rhodes and Jelly Roll on the same show. Besides those tickets are still overpriced even with 1/4th of the list price taken off, and you’ll still have to pay for food and lodging in Las Vegas, which is getting more expensive to fly to with every passing day.
CMLL has confirmed they’ll be airing live Fridays on FOX Sports 2: “Starting Friday, April 24, fans will be able to watch live every Friday the traditional lucha libre events held at the historic Arena México, a venue known as the ‘Cathedral of Lucha Libre.’ With more than nine decades of history, CMLL is one of the most important wrestling promotions in the world and a major reference point in Mexican sports entertainment, recognized for its tradition, legendary rivalries, and the creation of major stars.”
