Oba Femi

Via social media (which just seems to be the way things get done these days) WWE confirmed that Oba Femi has vacated his NXT championship.

Adam Copeland (Edge) is writing a second memoir about his career due out later this year. (WO)

For the second time Warner Bros. Discovery has rejected a bid from Paramount to buy them out in favor of the deal they would prefer to take to be acquired by Netflix. “The Board unanimously determined that Paramount’s latest offer remains inferior to our merger agreement with Netflix across multiple key areas. Paramount’s offer continues to provide insufficient value, including terms such as an extraordinary amount of debt financing that create risks to close and lack of protections for our shareholders if a transaction is not completed. Our binding agreement with Netflix will offer superior value at greater levels of certainty, without the significant risks and costs Paramount’s offer would impose on our shareholders.”

CM Punk says he was surprised to be called for Zootopia 2: “I find myself in these situations all the time where I’m just looking around like ‘Me?’ When I got the call for Zootopia 2, I was like, ‘Huh? What? Disney specifically wants me? Okay.’ And there’s a bit of imposter syndrome because I wanna be like, ‘Okay, who said no? Who are the first 13 people that said no to this?’ But, sometimes you just gotta realize, like, no, no, you’re good at what you do, and people wanna work with you.”

To the surprise of no one Matt Cardona has had to withdraw from his independent bookings following his return to WWE.

Alex Abrahantes has confirmed his departure from AEW: “I want to leave everyone with this message: When I was younger, I made a vow that someday I’d make it and share this same exact message with you: that if you work hard, believe in yourself, and don’t take the criticisms of others and don’t let what other people believe or think about you hold you down and kill your dreams, I can tell you from experience, reaching your dream is 100% worth it. There’s gonna be ups, there’s gonna be downs, but as long as you believe in yourself, as long as you work hard, as long as you’re a good person, and as long as you never give up, you’re going to see those dreams through, and trust me, it’s totally worth it. As for me, I’m not giving up on myself, and I’m certainly not going to give up on you. So, this is a ‘See you later!'”
