We are just over a week away from the titanic clash between ‘The Judge’ Levi Rigters (19-3, 9) KO) and ‘The Goliath’ Jamal Ben Saddik (38-10, 29 KO) which takes place in the main event of GLORY 103: Last Heavyweight Standing on August 23 from the Rotterdam Ahoy.
The two former title contenders came face-to-face for the first time this week for a special crossfire at the Ahoy hosted by kickboxing legend Remy Bonjasky.
Rigters and Ben Saddik’s fight will be part of phase two of the Last Heavyweight Tournament. GLORY 103 will see sixteen heavyweights compete in head-to-head bouts with eight winners moving on to form two separate four-man tournaments at an upcoming GLORY event.
Among the other heavyweight participants competing on August 23 are power-puncher Ionut Iancu (31-11, 13 KO), top Serbian heavyweight Rade Opacic (21-7, 16 KO), fan favourite Nabil Khachab (29-6-1, 4 KO), the always exciting Milos Cvjeticanin (13-4, 9 KO), ‘The Beast’ Colin George (24-13, 22 KO), and number one French heavyweight Sofian Laidouni (39-5-1, 20 KO).
A GLORY welterweight world title fight will also take place in the co-main event as Chico Kwasi (44-5-2, 23 KO) looks to defend his championship against the in-form Mehdi Ait El Hadj (35-4-2, 8 KO), who is undefeated in GLORY at 4-0 since joining last year.
In addition, Last Heavyweight Standing finalist Mory Kromah (34-3-1, 20 KO) looks to keep his momentum going as he takes on ‘The Gladiator’ Cristian Ristea (44-26, 13 KO) and local rivals Don Sno (6-2, 3 KO) & Tayfun Ozcan (87-11-3, 28 KO) aim to settle their beef.
