The Great American Bash is back! NXT’s summer event is back for a premium live event, and it’s time to celebrate with fireworks! Jordynne Grace and Blake Monroe team up against Fatal Influence; Oba Femi defends the NXT Championship against Yoshiki Inamura; Trick Williams, Mike Santana and Joe Hendry sign their contract for the title match at TNA Slammiversary; Sol Ruca defends the Women’s North American Championship against Izzi Dame; and Ricky Starks challenges Ethan Page for the North American Title in a Falls Count Anywhere Match! The summer is already heating up and boiling over in Hotlanta for NXT’s The Great American Bash! We get shots of several NXT superstars making their way to the building for the event. The Great American Bash has been around since 1985 in WCW, and it continues to live on today. We get a video package for all the feuds leading up to today’s matches.
* Je’Von Evans vs. Jasper Troy
Troy controls the center and powers Je’Von around the ring, bullying him at every turn. Evans slps him in defiance, lays in some punches, him Troy punches him in his taped up midsection. Evans kicks him in the head, avoids the ringpost, slams his head on the top turnbuckles, gets caught in mid-air, slips off and dropkicks him. Troy blocks a hurricanrana, Evans blocks the powerbomb, locks in the sleeper hold, twice, and both men fall out the ring. Troy slams him into the edge of the apron, throws him back in, Evans kicks him on his way in, but Troy shoves him back out the ring with force. Troy throws him into the barricade injuring the ribs some more, picks him up, throws him over the ropes back into the ring, and lands the jumping splash. Troy hits another jumping splash, then applies a chinlock with his knee in the back, hammer throw into the turnbuckles, body slam, but misses the elbow drop.
Evans fights back, hits a jumping punch, superkicks him, Troy catches him in mid-air from a springboard, drops him over the steel on the turnbuckles, and throws him back down after a backbreaker. Troy dominates this match and the crowd tells him he sucks after he steps on his opponent’s head, then he puts Je’Von in a grounded abdominal stretch. Evans side-steps him in a corner, fights back, kicks him in the jaw, but he cannot follow through due to the pain, Troy walks across his midsection, but Evans rolls away from the Vader Bomb attempt. Evans mounts a comeback with hard punches, beats him down, thrust kicks, counters a choke slam, tries for a German suplex, Troy blocks it, Evans hits the springboard clothesline and gets a 2-count.
Troy blocks the springboard cutter, Evans slides under him, hits the bouncy flip kick to the head, covers for a 2-count, goes up top, Troy throws him down, Evans dumps him over the ropes, and hits the flying dive to the outside! Evans gets back in the ring, Troy is back in behind him, Evans ducks a swing, delivers the German suplex, goes up top, hits the frog splash, and covers for 2.5! Troy catches him diving off the ropes, delivers the choke slam, runs him over with a body block, Evan counters the Black Hole Slam with a roll-up and gets the 3-count! WINNER: JE’VON EVANS!!
Backstage, Sol Ruca has her WWE Speed Women’s Championship and NXT Women’s North American Championship, and she gets interviewed alongside Zaria. Sol will defend her latter championship soon, while on the next time the team of Zaruca have a chance at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at WWE Evolution. Sol is feeling good after her SmackDown debut the next before, but here she’s focused on defending her title coming up. Zaria adds that she will be in Sol’s corner for her match because Tatum Paxley will be in Izzi Dame’s corner. Mike Rome does the proper title match introductions before the match.
* NXT Women’s North American Championship: Izzi Dame vs. Sol Ruca {C}
Right at the bell, Tatum Paxley slaps Zaria surprising everyone! Zaria gives chase and that forces the referee to step out the ring to get involved outside the ring to separate them. Meanwhile in the ring, Izzi plants Sol with the sit-out spinebuster, and the ref has to rush back in to make the count, 1-2-NO as Ruca’s foot is on the bottom rope! Izzi goes on the attack in a corner, plants her with a one-woman flapjack, kips up, Irish whip to a corner, Sol gets a knee up, and connects with a missile dropkick. Sol kicks her from the apron, does a diving hurricanrana off the steps, gets her back into the ring, and hits a running knee strike for a near-fall.
Izzi hotshots her on the top rope, hits the gutbuster, knees to the midsection, hits the kitchen sink, and covers for 2. Izzi hits a backbreaker, Sol counters the kitchen sink with a rollup for 2, Izzi clotheslines her, covers for 2, then puts her in a chinlock with the knee to the back. Sol battles back with a back elbow, but Izzi hits the big boot, and covers for 2. Sol battles back with shoulder tackles, a flying clothesline, back-splash in a corner, Izzi rolls her up for 2, Sol hits the modified backstabber with both feet, Izzi rolls out the ring, then Sol hits a running rebound moonsault off the middle turnbuckle to the floor! Back in the ring, Sol connects with the springboard 450 clothesline, covers for 2, sets her up on the top, Izzi blocks the ‘rana, hits a diving Codebreaker from the middle ropes, covers, and gets 2.5!
Both women trade shots and combos back and forth, Sol hits a capoeira kick, Izzi gets her boot up in a corner, Sol hits a gamengiri, and delivers the X-FACTOR FROM THE TOP ROPE! “This is awesome! This is awesome!” Izzi dropkicks her in the back, Sol kicks her in the head, Izzi counters a springboard with a choke slam, hits a release back suplex, covers, and a near-fall. Izzi gets on the middle ropes, Sol counters with a big boot, Izzi blocks the Sol Snatcher, slaps her on the back, goes for a super back suplex, Sol lands on her feet, hits the SPEAR, and covers for 1-2-NO as Izzi gets her foot on the bottom rope thanks to Tatum’s assistance. Tatum pulls Izzi out the ring, Zaria takes out Paxley with the SPEAR for interfering, Izzi slaps Ruca, gets back in the ring, Sol hits the SOL SNATCHER, and covers for 3!! WINNER and STILL NXT WOMEN’S NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPION: SOL RUCA!!
“What a match!” Sol Ruca retains her NXT North American Championship, remaining a double champion in WWE.
We get a video package for the back-and-forth feud between Ricky Saints and Ethan Page, leading to this next match for the men’s NXT North American Title. Ricky defeated all three members of Evolve’s Vanity Project in a Gauntlet Match, earning him this next title match, and announcing it to be a Falls Count Anywhere Match.
* NXT North American Championship – Falls Count Anywhere Match: Ricky Saints vs. Ethan Page {C}
Saints wastes no time once Page gets in the ring and the match gets underway! Page swings with the title but Saints ducks it and hits the SPEAR! Page rolls out the ring still with his jacket on, but since falls count anywhere the referee follows Saints out the ring as he continues the attack. Saints pulls out a kendo stick from under the ring and whacks Page with it. Page dumps Saints over the barricade, finally removes his jacket, hits Saints with the trash can lid, and the fight heads up the stairs in the crowd. Saints clubs him on the back, walks the railing for a diving punch, and they fight to the concourse area.
Saints swings a trash barrel at him, Page slams him against a pillar, then puts him in the Boston crab. Saints avoids the Ego’s Edge, shoves him into the pillar, big right shots, slams his head on the bar, Page fights back, but then Saints slams him through the WWEShop merchandise table! Saints makes the cover, Page kicks out at 2, Saints drags him to the stage area, and Page sends him into the steel steps at ringside. Page hits him in the gut with a steel chair, puts his head on a chair, shoves him into the ringpost with the chair on his throat, and covers for 2.
Page slams his head on the steel steps, they battle near the commentary table, Saints avoids a chair shot, and blasts him in the face with a fire extinguisher! Saints hits him with the fire extinguisher, removes a steel guardrail, slams it onto Page, hits him on the back with a chair, leans the guardrail in a corner, stomps on Page’s head on the apron, picks him up, Page counters, rams his head into the top turnbuckle, sets up two chairs facing each other, Saints blocks him and slams his head onto a chair. Saints covers for 2, sets up two chairs back-to-back, sets up for a powerbomb, but Page counters with a BACK DROP ONTO THE CHAIR BACKS, pulls him back up for a SUPLEX ONTO THE GUARDRAIL, and covers for 1-2-KICKOUT!!
Page whacks him on the back hard with a chair shot, sets up four chairs together, sets up for a superplex, Saints blocks it, bites him on the forehead, then POWERBOMBS PAGE ONTO THE FOUR CHAIRS, and covers for 2.9!! They fight to the back again passing by Jasper Troy in the halls, Saints slams Page’s head into the wall, Page throws him into a room, but Saints comes back with a swinging kick and whacks him with a chancla. Page shoves Saints into Jasper Troy who was still mad about his loss in another room, and Troy plants Saints with the Black Hole Slam onto a production travel case and shoves him away! Page brings Saints back into the ring, misses a chair shot, Saints hits him with a chair, and sends him out the ring. Saints counters the Ego’s Edge with a back drop onto the steel ramp, posts off of referee Adrian Butler for a tornado DDT on the stage, and covers for 2.5! Page counters a powerbomb with a back drop, then delivers the EGO’S EDGE OFF THE STAGE DOWN TEN FEET THROUGH TWO TABLES BELOW, and covers for the 1-2-3!!! WINNER and STILL NXT NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPION: ETHAN PAGE!!
That was a hell of a finish!!
NXT General Manager Ava is in the ring to supervise a contract signing between the three competitors for the TNA World Championship match at TNA Slammiversary. Heading to the ring first is Mike Santana coming through the crowd to a big ovation. Next to the ring is Joe Hendry who comes out to a massive crowd reaction singing his theme song. Finally, the TNA World Champion Trick Williams enters the arena with the title and Booker T is hyping up the champion. Carlos Silva, the President of TNA Wrestling is sitting in the crowd to oversee this. Ava calls for all three men to sit at the table for their signatures to make the future match official.
Mike Santana speaks up first saying that this means a lot to him as a TNA wrestler being in the ring on a WWE/NXT PLE. “Next week, we’re gonna find out whether or not Hollywood Trick is all sizzle and no steak. And Joe, don’t think I forgot about you. I respect what you’ve done and how you’ve repped our brand. But at the end of the day, you’re standing in the way of me getting mine so we gotta throw these hands. At Slammiversary, I will be the man to bring it back to the roots, let’s get it!” Santana signs the contract as Joe Hendry takes his turn to speak. Hendry wants to take the title back that he lost to Trick, and he calls out the champ for hiding behind other people. “Next Sunday, it’s you that’s gonna be behind enemy lines. And you are gonna be facing a man on a mission for redemption. I will make you believe in Joe Hendry!” It’s now time for the Williams to give his thoughts on his two opponents, telling them to put respect on his name. Joe Hendry signs the contract. “I’m the man carrying two brands, let’s talk about it!” Williams knows that both men are upset with him, but he says he doesn’t need any help or entourage to whoop them. Ava takes the contract after Williams signs, Williams starts to leave, but he’s pulled back to the middle of the ring. Hendry says that he and Santana agree that the TNA World Title is going back to a TNA wrestler, and Santana adds that Williams talks to damn much. Both Santana and Hendry attack the champion and they put him through the table! The challengers get their hands on the championship and face off with each other.
DarkState is here! All four madmen rush the ring to attack Hendry and Santana! Shugars dropkicks Hendry in the corner, and they deliver the quad-powerbomb to Santana! Williams got lucky and looks on from the ramp.
Backstage, Yoshiki tells Josh Briggs that he wants to win the NXT Championship with honor. Briggs accompanies his friend to the ring for his challenge of the title. The champion comes out next and the crowd chants his name. Mike Rome does the proper title match introductions for this championship match.
* NXT Championship: Yoshiki Inamura vs. Oba Femi {C}
The lock up collar-and-elbow, neither man budges, lock up again, Femi with a side headlock, hits a shoulder block, Inamura gets right back up quickly, works over the arm, they have a test of strength, Femi overpowers him, Inamura powers back up, Femi slams him down, Inamura is back up to avoid an elbow drop, Femi goes back to the side headlock and takes him down to the mat. Inamura rolls him over for a 2-count, pushes him to a corner, Femi catches him for an overhead exploder suplex, and Inamura is right back up again. Josh Briggs cheers him on as Inamura gets in a sumo stance and tosses the champ backwards.
Inamura splashes him in a corner, hits a shoulder block, covers for 1, hits a jumping elbow drop, goes up top, Femi rolls out the ring, Inamura instead runs the apron and Oba drops him with a big chop to the chest! Both men are on the apron, Femi picks him up, Inamura blocks with elbow strikes, hits a flying shoulder tackle from the apron, throws him back into the ring, spinning body slam, and covers for 2. Femi catches him on his shoulder, hits The Big Ending, covers and gets a 2-count. The champ is in control right now as he stands on Yoshiki’s chest, hits knee strikes to the midsection, suplexes him on the top rope, covers for 2, hits a gutbuster twice, covers for 2 again, then puts him in a surfboard stretch. Inamura counters a suplex, gets a 2-count, crucifix pin for 2, then Oba plants him with a spinebuster for a near-fall.
Inamura blocks a suplex, Femi with a body blow, they both tease suplexes on a each other until Inamura finally delivers a vertical suplex. Inamura hits sumo strikes and chops in a corner, hits several strikes, a rolling elbow to drop the champ, and delivers a German suplex with bridge for 2. Inamura goes up top, sets up for his big splash, Oba rolls out the way, leapfrogs him, then hits a running European uppercut to Yoshiki which inadvertantly squashes the referee in a corner. Femi sets up for the powerbomb, but Briggs clobbers him on the back of the head with the NXT Championship belt! Inamura gives Femi a back body drop, goes up top, then he spots Briggs with the NXT Championship, so he drops down and adamantly questions his partner about it. Femi is back up, Inamura slips off his shoulders, hits a running headbutt, goes back up top, hits the DIVING SPLASH halfway across the ring, but there’s NO REFEREE to count!
Briggs has a steel chain in his hand telling Inamura to capitalize, but Inamura doesn’t want his help, but then Femi plants him with a CHOKE SLAM OFF THE TOP ROPE, and covers for 2.9!! They trade shots, chops, forearm smashes, Inamura blocks the Fall From Grace with an overhead chop, drops him with a sit-out bomb, and gets a near-fall. Briggs is back on the apron to encourage him, Inamura side-steps the champ who knocks Briggs down, rolls him up for 2.9, then Femi catches him with the FALL FROM GRACE for 3!! WINNER and STILL NXT CHAMPION: OBA FEMI!
Oba Femi turns away yet another challenger for his title and remains The Ruler of NXT!
We get a video package for the women of NXT, mainly Jacy Jayne shocking the world by winning the NXT Women’s Championship. Jordynne Grace and Blake Monroe get the spotlight and they team up to face Fatal Influence in the main event.

Jazmyn Nyx is also here at ringside to support her stablemates. Jordynne Grace and Fallon Henley start the match, they lock up collar-and-elbow, and Fallon slaps her on the back. Jordynne blocks a suplex, slams her head into the turnbuckle, chops her, slaps her on the back, inverted atomic drop, and delivers a sidewalk/gutwrench suplex. The NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne gets the tag, rolls her up for 2, crucifix for 2, Jordynne reverses for 2, and Jacy wants a break.
Blake Monroe gets the tag, the crowd cheers and chants for her, Jacy backs her in the ropes, Blake works over the arm, Jacy rolls out of it and does the same, Blake flips out of the pressure, Jacy drops her, Blake avoids the senton and dropkicks her. Fallon tags in, takes her down for 2, Blake dropkicks her, tags out, snapmare, Jordynne body slams Monroe onto Henley, then Blake monkey flips Grace onto Henley into a cover for a 2-count. Blake tags back in, Fallon fights back, Blake slaps her on the chest, hits a spinning sidewalk slam, covers for a 1-count, rolls her up, but Jacy is distracting the referee which allows Jazmyn to get in a cheap shot. Fallon hits a hairmare, tags out, Jacy stomps her down in her corner, chokes her with her boot, covers for 2, and tags out.
Jordynne gets the hot tag, hits shoulder tackles and clotheslines to both women, Jacy with a thrust kick to the gut, but Jordynne delivers a double northern lights suplex to both! Jordynne chases Henley around the ring, Jacy hits a big boot as she rounds the corner, she throws her back into the ring, Fallon covers for 2, Jacy tags in, double suplex, covers for 2, then puts her in a chinlock. Jordynne gets to her feet, battles back, but Jacy hits a basement superkick. Fallon tags in, running basement forearm smash, covers for 2, Jacy tags back in, stomps her down, Fallon tags back in to stomp her down as well, Jacy tags in, and they stretch her shoulders. Jacy chops her, tags out, Jordynne tosses her onto the apron, picks up Henley, and hits the rolling death valley driver.
Blake gets the hot tag, hits a sling blade to Jayne, sling blade to Henley, Jacy gets on the middle ropes, but Blake catches her with the handstand headscissors, hits a missile dropkick, and covers for 2. Jacy rolls onto the apron, Blake sets up a powerbomb there, Jacy escapes, Blake goes for a sunset flip bomb, Fallon tries to save her partner, Jordynne pulls Henley away, and that allows Jazmyn to kick Monroe in the stomach. Jacy hits Monroe with a cannonball, tags out, Fallon hits a springboard blockbuster, and gets a near-fall. Blake rolls her up for 2, headbutts her, Jordynne tags in, plants Henley with the spinebuster, pulls her up for a knee strike by Blake, then covers for 2. Fallon clobbers Grace with a forearm smash, then tackles her through the ropes from the levelled ramp, and both women are down.
Both sides get hot tags, Blake and Jacy trade shots back and forth, Jacy superkicks her and hits a step-up enzuigiri. Blake side-steps her in a corner, delivers a German suplex, goes up top, Fallon distracts the referee, so Jazmyn shoves Monroe off the ropes. TNA KNOCKOUTS WORLD CHAMPION MASHA SLAMOVICH IS HERE!! Masha and Jazmyn fight each other to the back! Fallon and Jacy hit double kicks to Monroe, Jacy covers, and Jordynne tackles Henley onto them to break the count! All four women start scrapping, Blake and Jacy clothesline each other, Fallon hits a swinging kick to Grace outside the ring, Blake knocks Henley off the apron, Jacy rolls her up for 2, Blake ducks the Rolling Encore, Jacy superkicks her, rolls her up for 2, Jordynne hits Jayne with the backfist, and Blake hits Jayne with the double-arm DDT for the 3-count! WINNERS: JORDYNNE GRACE & BLAKE MONROE!!
