Tonight, it’s the first Dynamite after All In that’s not the first Dynamite after All In! That means it’s the first one that will probably be less about the fallout from All In, and more about the build to Forbidden Door! Come inside!
Dynamite opens with the announcement that there will be a tournament to crown #1 Contenders to the tag team championships, with the winners getting a shot at Forbidden Door! Full bracket not revealed, but it will have 8 teams, and the first match, tonight, is FTR vs. JetSpeed.
Renee asks Hangman if he thinks it’s a good idea to challenge Wheeler Yuta tonight when the Death Riders can do so much damage. He says he has no choice after what they did to Colt Cabana on Saturday. MJF then walks in and reiterates that he’s going to beat him without using the contract. Hangman says he’s not going to goad him into a title shot, so he’ll have to either cash it in or earn it, which he won’t do because he’s a coward.
Match One: AEW World Champion Hangman Page vs. Wheeler Yuta (non-title)
Yuta attacks during Hangman’s entrance, tackles him off the apron, rolls him into the ring, top rope clothesline for one, boot to the head, slap, Hangman responds with a slap, punches, punches in the corner, stomps, springboard lariat, tosses Yuta into the barricade, then into a different part of the barricade, then into what I think is the same part of the barricade as the second time, then rolls him into the ring, fallaway slam, running boot, lariat in the corner, chop, whip, Yuta with an elbow, Page with a DVD for two, tussle, Page with a clothesline, Buckshot Lariat for three.
Winner: Hangman Page
Page bludgeons Yuta with the chain repeatedly after the match, then goes to hang him with it, but stops short. He yells in Yuta’s face that the Death Riders didn’t come for him, and they’ll never come for him.
Backstage, Athena gives Billie Starkz a pep talk, and says she’s going to take Toni Storm out tonight.
Match Two: Forbidden Door #1 Contender’s Tournament: FTR vs. JetSpeed
FTR attack at the bell, beat down, Shatter Machine to Bailey, blocked, Bailey with a rollup for two to Dax, which I guess makes them the two legal men, brawl breaks out, Bailey with a German for two, stereo suicide dives, trading strikes, spills to the floor, Dax goes for a piledriver on the floor, reversed into a back body drop, Cash attacks, Knight in, FTR swarm, beatdown, tussle, Cash in, tosses Knight around, punches, Dax in, Knight with a rollup while Cash distracts the ref, ends in a one-count, Dax with a lariat, sets Knight up top, superplex, blocked with punches, Cash is waiting in the wings, Bailey knocks him down, stereo missile dropkicks, Bailey with a superkick to Dax, Knight with a swinging DDT for two, Bailey with a baseball slide to Cash, stereo springboard moves, Knight covers for two, goes to the apron, Dax stops him and hits a dragon screw through the ropes, wangs Knight’s leg into the ring post, then does it again, Figure Four around the ring post, Bailey breaks it with kicks, Cash hits Bailey with a dragon screw, Knight with a rollup in the ring for two, Dax with a lariat, Sharpshooter, Cash locks Bailey in a Sharpshooter on the floor, Knight gets to the rope in the ring, Dax sets him up top, they set up for Power and Glory, Dax hits the superplex but Cash lands on knees, Speedball with a shooting star to Dax’s back for two, JetSpeed challenge FTR to trade strikes on their knees, that’s then exactly what happens, JetSpeed get the better of it and knock FTR to the floor, where a brawl breaks out, Bailey and Dax end up in the crowd, then back in the ring, Bailey with kicks, Cash grabs his leg, Bailey kicks him away, standing Shooting Star to Dax, sunset flip for two as Knight hits a springboard lariat to Cash, Dax presses Bailey to the apron, Bailey with forearms, brawls with Cash on the apron, knocks him down, springboard moonsault that ends up hitting both members of FTR, kick in the ring, standing shooting star knees, Knight in, electric chair/dropkick combo for two as Cash pulls Knight off the cover, tosses Bailey into the barricade, Bailey presses him into the timekeeper’s area, runs and hits a crossbody, Knight goes for the UFO in the ring, Dax gets his boots up, rollup for two, Knight with a hurricanrana for two, Dax with a powerbomb to Bailey, Knight with a rollup for two, Dax with a rollup, aided by Stokely, for three.

Tony Schiavone asks about Adam Copeland’s threat. Stokely says Copeland had no right to do what he did, and starts calling him every name in the book, before Copeland comes out. Stoke reminds him that he can’t come near them. Copeland says he did business with a group who are more than willing to do what he can’t, and their business is hurting people.
The Hurt Syndicate come out and brawl with FTR, quickly getting the upper hand over the fatigued team. Copeland then goes for a spear on Stokely, but he pulls a security guard in his way.
Backstage, the former Patriarchy say it’s time to put actions behind their words, and it starts this Saturday.
Elsewhere backstage, Jon Moxley says Hangman gets to dust himself off, but Moxley has to deal with his loss. He says he’ll find out who Hangman is now, by the end of the night.
Will Ospreay hits the ring. Tony Schiavone welcomes him into the ring, Ospreay says he wasn’t supposed to be here today, but he wanted to give an update. He says he’s been dealing with neck issues, but he’s been keeping them secret, which he knows he shouldn’t have done, but he just wanted to make it past All In. He says he has issues in two vertebrae, but it’s treatable, and if all goes well he should be back for Forbidden Door. He thanks Swerve and Hangman, but says he will be wanting rematches. He finishes by saying he’s coming for every single Death Rider when he’s better. As he’s walking back, Swerve comes out, and they share an embrace.
They air a promo for the now-three woman group of Julia Hart, Skye Blue, and Thekla.
Renee asks Willow how she’s doing, she talks about how great it has been to see some new blood, and challenges Thekla to a match.
After a recap, Renee asks The Hurt Syndicate what their relationship with Copeland is. MJF confronts them over the same, and MVP says it was just business. MJF continues, and Lashley slams him against the lockers and says he wants him out of the Hurt Syndicate. The other two walk away with Lashley and shake their heads at MJF as they go.

Brief tussle for a hold, Swerve with a whip, Hechicero with a trip, sleeper, Swerve gets out, whip, reversed, Hechicero with an arm drag, snapmare, both men resume trying to get a hold, Swerve ends up locking in an Octopus Stretch, Hechicero gets the rope, boot, slap, Swerve with chops, whip, reversed, reversed again, reversed yet again, Hechicero hits the Mad Scientist Bomb, shoulder tackles in the corner, chops, whip, reversed, Swerve with a backbreaker, suplex, stomps, Hechicero to the floor, climbs back in, Swerve with a spin kick to the apron, drags him in, neckbreaker, forearms back across the apron, goes for a big boot, blocked, Hechicero with punches, dragon screw, stomp, another, ten-punch, trading punches, Hechicero with a running knee in the corner, powerslam for one, punches, Swerve blocks one with his head somehow, lariat, whip to the corner, punch, snapmare, top rope elbow to the back of the head, backbreaker, whip, spin kick, top rope 450 for two, Hechicero locks in a cross arm breaker, Swerve escapes, Hechicero rolls him up for two, rolls him up again for two, goes for what might be a Boston Crab, blocked with boots, Swerve with a rolling STO, goes up top, Lance Archer shoves him off the top rope to draw the DQ.

Archer and Hechicero beat down Swerve until Bandido and Brody King make the save. As Swerve is standing alone in the ring, Okada nails him from behind with a chair. He goes for a tombstone on the chair, Swerve wiggles out, headbutt, sets the chair up around Okada’s head, calls for a Swerve Stomp, Okada throws the chair off himself and runs away.
Backstage, Alicia Atout tries to interview Ricochet and GoA. They go through their recent victories and brag about them, but say they’re coming for gold.
MJF hits the ring and says he doesn’t need Lashley. He calls Hangman a hypocrite for calling him a coward but not wanting to grant him a match.
Mark Briscoe comes out, says it’s taking all his self control not to come down there, because MJF stole the win from him in the Casino Gauntlet. He challenges MJF to face him one on one next week. MJF says no, and that he didn’t cost Briscoe anything, because if he was supposed to win, he would have. He says Briscoe sucks, but he knows the world disagrees. He says the fans find Briscoe entertaining, but no one thinks he belongs at the top of the card. He says people respected Jay, but no one will ever look at Mark that way. Briscoe then chases him off.

Marina Shafir and Claudio attack after the bell, Claudio slams him on an unfurled chair, Moxley comes out and says Hangman isn’t the champion yet just because he has a belt. Hangman comes out, says that everyone knows Moxley was lying when he said Page didn’t want Texas death, but he thinks Moxley actually believes that Hangman doesn’t want this. He says he’ll prove it, but to the Moxley that carried the company before. He then challenges him for next week: Everyone banned from ringside. He says he already knows Moxley accepts, then he walks off. Dynamite goes off the air with this.
