Chico Kwasi to Defend Welterweight World Title at GLORY 103

Glory

GLORY welterweight world champion Chico Kwasi (44-5-2, 23 KO) is set to make his fourth title defense at ‘GLORY 103: Last Heavyweight Standing’ on August 23 at the Rotterdam Ahoy in the Netherlands.
He will welcome the challenge of the in-form Mehdi Ait El Hadj (35-4-2, 8 KO). The French Moroccan is an undefeated 4-0 in GLORY since his arrival last year, registering wins over Ismail Ouzgni, Don Sno, Soufiane Abdelkhalek, and, most recently, Robin Ciric, a teammate of Kwasi.
Ait El Hadj is known for his aggressive fighting style and forward pressure in his fights. The 26-year-old is now looking to follow in the footsteps of the great Cedric Doumbe by becoming the first French welterweight champion in GLORY since 2019.
Kwasi won the title at GLORY 91 from longtime champ Endy Semeleer and hasn’t looked back since. The Mike’s Gym product has been a constant source of incredible moments in GLORY since debuting in 2023 and his superfight battles with lightweight world champion Tyjani Beztati will go down in history.
The man known as ‘Luffy’ is no stranger to Ait El Hadj though. As mentioned, teammate Robin Ciric suffered a loss to him and he has competed on the same card three times over the past fifteen months as his challenger.
Also recently added to GLORY 103 is a local rivalry fight between the outspoken Don Sno (6-2, 3 KO) and Tayfun Ozcan (88-11-3, 28 KO). The duo have already been exchanging words on social media which should add fuel to the fire of an already intense fight.
GLORY 103 will primarily feature the next phase of the Last Heavyweight Standing tournament. Sixteen heavyweights will compete and eight winners will move forward to the next round hoping to book their place in the grand finale this December.
Among the names confirmed already are Levi Rigters (19-3, 9 KO), Nabil Khachab (29-6-1, 4 KO), Iancu Ionut (31-11, 13 KO), Rade Opacic (21-7, 16 KO), Milos Cvjeticanin (13-4, 9 KO), Sofian Laidouni (39-5-1, 20 KO), and more.
