Ron Killings

Everybody took a shot at John Cena to open SmackDown last night — Cody Rhodes, LA Knight and Randy Orton — but they all took it verbally. Ron Killings one-upped them all by attacking Cena until he was pulled away by security. (WWE)

Here Bryan Danielson updates his wrestling status: “I don’t know, but right now, I’m not cleared to wrestle. Even if I wanted to, if I said, ‘Hey, I’m going to be there.’ I will be there in Kent. I will be there live in front of the people, but probably not on television. It’ll just be for the people there live.”

In addition Danielson talks about the weirdness of Vince McMahon: “As a boss, he has his good parts and bad parts. That’s everybody. It’s a really tough thing for me. I have a hard time – internally, I’m not even talking about it in public – internally, I have a hard time with the whole concept of Vince McMahon. Absolutely. There’s the idea of ‘career’ and what he did for my career, and I consider that kind of a separate thing. When I’m looking at Vince McMahon, the human being, how he was to me when I was backstage, we’re also talking about a guy who, when my dad passed away, gave me the best hug I had ever gotten. I’m somebody who is not necessarily concerned with career advancement. Being a World Champion was never this thing I aspired to. I loved the fact that I could do this thing that I loved and make a living doing it. There is his treatment of me as an employee, but there was his treatment of me as a human being, and that’s the part that is hard to rectify with the things they are accusing him of. The way he treated me as a human, he treated me very well in a way that is kind of hard to describe to people if they are coming at you from a negative perspective of Vince McMahon. There are also negative aspects about Vince McMahon.”

Natalya talks about receiving the Lou Thesz Award this year: “It really is so special because – I was elected to get this from the wrestlers. From legends, from a committee at Cauliflower Alley. There are so many incredible men that have got this award before me, so now to be the first woman to get the Lou Thesz Award is just… and knowing what Lou Thesz stood for in the industry and what a pioneer he was. He helped build a foundation for professional wrestling.”

Rich Swann talks about leaving TNA: “So this is the thing, I wasn’t released. The thing was I got suspended and everything like that and afterwards, I didn’t hear anything from the management but, what I had found out was, you know, later, basically the management was being shuffled around and the guys that I had dealt with, when they told me the 30-day suspension and afterwards, we would talk about my contract because it was coming up at the end of that December and it was going to be a rollover decision on if they would want to keep me for one more year or, you know, if I wanted to leave or anything like that, and it was gonna be a bump in pay. But the one thing that I was told by the person that was released from IMPACT was that they were switching the way that they were doing their business and their contracts and models and they didn’t want to have anybody on a guaranteed contract. At the same token, I’m somebody that’s going to take responsibility for my actions and for myself. As a company, you don’t wanna have somebody that has on their – as a stain. Oh, he’s being arrested. The alcohol and everything.”

The IInspiration’s Jessie McKay talks about them possibly appearing in NXT as part of the TNA roster — and they used to be The IIconics in WWE: “We learned so much at our time in NXT and the women’s roster there now is so talented so it would definitely be a full circle moment for us.”

Nixon Newell f/k/a Tegan Nox talks about a possible WWE return: “Possibly, the door I hope is always open (for a WWE return) but right now, I wanna wrestle everywhere and anywhere. Yes, WWE is cool and I was lucky enough and fortunate enough to have done it twice. But, there’s so many incredible companies out there right now, like TNA, like AEW, like MLW. GCW. All these places that I wanna go, before I even think about, you know, going back there because it could be true that the WWE could not be for me. I’ve done it twice. Fortunately and unfortunately, I’ve done it twice. But, I wanna wrestle places that want me, and right now, they don’t. So I wanna wrestle places that want me and have fun wrestling again.”

Hikuleo finally made his WWE debut at last night’s SmackDown taping.
