Bryan Danielson

In this interview Bryan Danielson says he has too much respect for boxing to ever consider doing it himself: “No, I have too much respect for boxers. I’ve done a lot of muay-thai training and a lot of jiu-jitsu training. One of my problems with my muay-thai is I’m better at kicking than I am with my punches. My muay-thai coach went and had me train with boxers. This is when I was living in Las Vegas. I went and trained with like 16-year-old kids, and they lit me up. {*laughing*} Boxing movement, especially guys who are elite, with their head movement and stuff, I couldn’t touch this 16-year-old kid, I couldn’t touch him. He knew, at that point I had a decent number of concussions; he knew he wasn’t supposed to hit me in the head too hard, and he just gently tapped me at will. We also had Anthony Ogogo with AEW and talking to him about boxing, when you get to (that) level, it’s just different.”

The former Elektra Lopez (Karissa Rivera) will make her House of Glory debut on June 7th in Jamaica, New York. This is her first independent date since being released from WWE back in February. No opponent has been named thus far.

Adam Pearce announced that Roxanne Perez is officially part of the Raw brand on last night’s Netflix episode. Coincidentally she won her MITB qualifying match.

Speaking of qualifying matches, Zoey Stark was pulled from hers due to an apparent knee injury, and Rhea Ripley went on to win the qualifier over the returning Kairi Sane. (WWE)

Seamstress Sandra Gray reveals how she got her start making wrestling gear: “Rena Mero (Sable), she went to the local fabric store looking for someone to make her then-boyfriend, Johnny B. Badd (Marc Mero) an outfit. There were two people who always did stuff that the fabric people referred people to. It was another lady and myself. Rena, not knowing either one of us, she naturally called the first person, and she said, ‘I can’t do it. It’s the middle of prom season and I’m super busy.’ It was prom season for me as well, and I was busy, so when she asked me, I said, ‘I’m really sorry, but I don’t know how to do spandex. I’ve never made spandex in my life and I’m not familiar with it.’ She said, ‘He’s kind of in a bind right now, we really need something, can you please try it?’ I said yes. I believe she gave me an old pair of trunks to go by and I made them, but boy, did I struggle. I got through, but it was a struggle. The night he was supposed to wear it, my whole family came to my house to see my work on TV. It was so exciting. There was a particular side of his trunks where I had so much trouble. I had no idea you sew a straight stitch and then stretch the fabric. I didn’t know that. That night, we’re all watching and so excited. I can’t wait until he comes down with my gear on. Sure enough, whoever his match was with, they grabbed him on the side and everybody stood up and screamed, ‘put him down! It’s going to break!’ It didn’t break and his match went on just fine. After, he called me and thanked me for helping him through the situation. People asked where he got the gear from, and he said that I made it. Eventually, people from WCW started to come to me and get gear.”
