Jey Uso

Speaking to No-Contest Wrestling, Jey Uso revealed his mom will be at WrestleMania: “he’s a strong woman. It had to be hard for her because she had us at 18 and my dad was always trying to be a wrestler at 18, so we didn’t have no money. She did her best, and as I got older, I recognized game. She did her best to raise us. We were crazy. It was four boys. I love my mother. All of us, we take care of her. She’s queen. She’ll be at Mania. She’s the glue. She’s 50/50 about watching wrestling because she has a lot of, I’m pretty sure, good and bad memories from the business, but seeing how we’re doing now, she loves it. Can’t wait to put on for her at WrestleMania.”

In this interview Paul “Triple H” Levesque talks about pitching a heel turn to John Cena: “I went to John and said, ‘What if we pull the lever than no one wanted to ever pull and what if we turn you heel.’ To me, it felt like, if you never do it, it’s just left dangling there. Now, we get to write for this guy that has been this ultimate good guy for 20-plus years. We get to turn him bad. How does that look? In the first conversation we had about it on the phone, John is very great with pitches, he lets you get all the way to the end, he doesn’t say much, he just listens and when you get to the end he was like, ‘Wow, I didn’t think that’s where you were going to go with this. That’s bold, but I fucking love it. I love it because I could be safe, I could be easy, I could come in and phone this in and do my greatest hits and move on or I could be challenged. This is challenging to me. This is a juicy role. Now, how do I make these people hate me?’ Who knows, by December, does he see the light and become a good guy again? Maybe. Does he retire as a bad guy?”

Tony Khan talks about listening to feedback: “I do like to listen to feedback from lots of people across pro wrestling, and especially if it’s constructive, it can be really helpful. I think there’s a lot of times where you hear somebody say something, and they say, ‘Oh, why didn’t they do it this way?’ Or ‘Instead of going from point A to point B and then to point C, you know, maybe off in between point and point B, they could have added this,’ and so maybe there’s a good idea there they can use in the future. I really do love hearing feedback from all kinds of people, from people in wrestling, wrestlers, people who work in wrestling in the production side or both, and fans. Fans that I’ve never been backstage at a show in their lives, but just love wrestling and watch it a lot, and they have great ideas.”

Tonight’s Dark Side of the Ring is about Tony Atlas: “With the physique of an Adonis and endless charisma, Tony Atlas made his mark as one of wrestling’s first Black stars but racism, addiction and ego kept Mr. USA from the top.”

Adam Cole talks about his plans for AEW’s TNT Title: “Initially, it wasn’t something I had even thought about but now hearing that question and thinking about the possibilities with it happening and stuff in the future, there absolutely maybe is a possibility. I really want to honor the TNT Championship and make it one of the most prestigious titles within AEW again. I really do believe that he’s the future of All Elite Wrestling, but while I’m holding the championship, like I said, I’m going to defend it and fight for it with pride, regardless of what it looks like.”
