Drew McIntyre

In this interview Drew McIntyre says he was genuinely frustrated at the Royal Rumble but the details about it online are wrong. “Not all the details are accurate, but yeah, I was fuming. I let everybody know what I thought and then I left. I’ve learned, as an adult, nothing good happens when you’re highly emotional so just go calm down, get the facts, and deal with it. I don’t want to punch somebody in the head and be unprofessional and find out facts later that I didn’t know about it. It depends on the situation. For me, if I ever feel somebody did something disrespectful and went into business for themselves and the likes, that’s when I get frustrated. Sometimes, it’s not what it appears on the surface and you have to get all the facts together and you have to just calm down. It’s just funny that every time I have a moment, it doesn’t happen often, Priest jokes about it in a promo because that’s all he’s got, ‘Drew complains all the time, he’s always going to leave the building.’ It’s a couple of times in a few years. Considering I’m Scottish and have an anger problem, that’s not too bad. Also, if I stayed I might have punched some people out and been like, ‘Oh, it wasn’t actually their fault. Wakey, wakey.'”

Chelsea Green vs. Zelina Vega on SmackDown ended in a “shoot” although it didn’t change the already planned outcome. Vega was set to get a non-title win over Green but not via countout. Green legitimately did not hear the referee counting to ten and did not get back in the ring in time to beat it. Referees are instructed to “call it like a shoot” in those situations so they don’t look stupid by holding up their count at nine and yelling at somebody to get in the ring before ten. Since it didn’t change the actual plan that much other than ending the match a few minutes early there’s no heat on anyone. (PWI)

IN FACT they’ve already co-opted the finish into the storyline as Green has “hired an attorney” to contest the result of the match.

Rhea Ripley was in attendance at UFC 314 last night. Speaking of Ripley she says that she and Bianca Belair aren’t overlooking IYO Sky: “I don’t want to say we’re overlooking IYO, because we’re not. We know that she’s a threat. We know what she’s capable of. Hell, I’ve never beat her in a one-on-one competition. I know exactly what IYO brings to the table. I feel like when it comes to me and Bianca, what we’ve been saying over the last two, three, four years is we’ve wanted to face each other at WrestleMania. We’ve wanted it to be a one-on-one thing. Seeing Bianca do that, obviously it hit me in a part of my emotions that have been hurt before by a lot of people, so I acted out.”

Bret Hart talks about his WrestleMania match with Steve Austin being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame: “I love the idea, and I appreciate how many other people might be considered for something like this. But for me, I’ve always believed, and I’m very proud of my career and proud of a lot of the great matches I had throughout my career. But I’ve always felt from probably the night that I had this match that it was the best match I ever had, for sure. And I had a lot of great matches, but I just always felt something special about this match and what it did and what it delivered and what the ramifications of the match and how far Steve Austin’s career went and how much of a difference it made maybe for his career. I think Steve has always been a great wrestler, whether he had that match or not. But I think that match launched and just made it so much easier for him.”

A new report disputes that Kevin Owens has had his neck surgery and claims in fact he has NOT gotten it yet and is not expected to return for the rest of 2025 — and he may not even be back for WrestleMania next year. (FF)
