Speaking to WWE Deutschland, Penta talked about his WWE experience thus far: “It’s a mix of emotions and feelings. It’s very different. I think, not I think, I’m sure WWE is the best company in the world, brother. WWE, they make you feel like a big superstar. They make you feel very professional. You are a professional wrestler. I love WWE. These three months was changes in my life. Every change is to improve something. This improvement was my career. When I say this is the new Penta Era. When I came to WWE, I started a new era for Penta in my life.”
Cody Rhodes says John Cena has never been more dangerous: “I almost made the mistake when I first encountered John after Elimination Chamber on 17 March on Raw in Brussels, Belgium when he did our first promo together since that moment. I went in with the mindset that I was facing the old John but in reality, this is a new John. They call him ‘big match John’ for a reason. He’s been in every type of pressure cooker. He’s experienced things that few have. He’s a master. But this John having it all on the line is the most dangerous version we’ve ever seen. Typically, I’d approach John smiling and I’d shake his hand with this being a teacher vs student moment. He’s also one of my heroes. Regardless, I have the unenviable task of beating John Cena in his last WrestleMania match when he’s going for the record of 17 world championships. This is my job and I’m very much looking forward to it however events may play out.”
Due to his current injury status Mistico voluntarily vacated his MLW Middleweight Title.
In this interview Josh Barnett says he’s talked to William Regal about competing at Bloodsport: “You think I haven’t had some conversations with William Regal about, ‘If you should feel spry. You know…’? I say the ball is in his court, not as like a challenge or anything like that. It’s just, he’s the boss here. If he tells me it’s time, done. If he says, ‘Eh, I’m better off spectating.’ Done. Whatever he wants, he’s correct. That’s the way I see it.”

In this interview Heath Slater says John Cena was pissed when The Nexus got made to look foolish on a house show: “Funny story on that. One time, there was a live event. John Cena was working somebody. It was a cage match. We all ran down, jumped the cage, got in, let the guys in and we beat the shit out of Cena. Next thing you know, Santino, Morrison, Kofi, all the babyfaces run out, but they have foam pool noodles. They’re running down and they’re just in the ring hitting us with them and we’re selling it. But then we see it and we start fighting back, what the hell? We get in the back and Cena is so mad, he picks up this red stool and overhand throws it on the ground and shatters it. And he’s like, ‘Guys, what the fuck? You guys are coming in here while we’re trying to build this group up, make them killers and everything, and you’re fighting with pool noodles?’ He went off on them trying to protect us, to where I just was like Cena is invested a little bit, so that’s kind of cool. But yeah, that was just one time where it was like, we were supposed to be killers. Don’t treat us like we’re not killers. That pack of hyenas. But they came down with pool noodles just swinging on us. We were just like, what the hell are you doing?”

Shane Helms says he’s starting to get back into ring shape: “I’m starting to be able to get back into spandex shape, now. For a while, it wasn’t an option. They actually wanted me to do… John Cone called me and there was an appearance for me to do as Hurricane, head to toe. ‘John, you’ve seen me on TV every week. You know I can’t fit in that damn outfit.’ The spandex don’t lie. That shit tells the truth. Got me out there looking like a can of busted biscuits. I can’t have that on my conscience.”
Saraya talks about the state of women’s wrestling: “Honestly, I’m proud of the women today. They get to do matches I wasn’t able to do in my time. This revolution started around my time. Now they get to do these stipulation matches the guys get to do. It’s bittersweet for me because I think about how I wish I could be more involved in that, but at the same time, I’m proud of them all. They grabbed the brass ring and ran with it. They are doing amazing things. The women in all companies are absolutely killing it. I’m talking about WWE, AEW, Impact, New Japan, across the board. I’m so proud of them. It’s just going to get bigger. The Evolution pay-per-view, I don’t know why we haven’t done another one sooner. I feel like the first one was a success and people loved it and came and watched it. It was all special. I guess it makes it more special to have it spaced out. At the same time, I feel like the girls could have their version of WrestleMania if they wanted to. The girls are so powerful these days. They could do whatever they set their minds to.”
Matt Mako says he wants a Bloodsport match with CM Punk.
Ricochet looks back on his feud with Swerve Strickland: “I guess if the story is you’re just going to be cheating the whole time, then yeah, great story. You have Nana out there the whole time trying to steal my jacket. So I’m distracted there. You have, I don’t know whether it was Swerve or whether it was Nana or whatever, but they had celebrities in the crowd literally yelling at me the whole time. So I couldn’t concentrate there either. Then you probably have Tony Schiavone on commentary saying something negative. So I have to think about that too. So it’s just, it was like just one after another of complete distraction on Swerve’s side for me. So, I mean, I guess if the story for Swerve is, I mean, everyone cheers for him, but he really is just cheating the whole time, and then at the end with Nana coming back out and I thought i had it won and then again, it just didn’t go my way. But like I said, I was out there by myself. I had nobody out there. No one was, yelling at Swerve the whole time. But that match, I mean, I’m glad that it showed that part, but it also showed that I and before have also showed that I can beat Swerve and I have beaten Swerve and that this was purely just a misjudgment of I didn’t plan enough for this match. I should have planned for Nana and for everybody else trying to distract me, and that’s my fault.”
The last SmackDown did a 0.47 18-49 demo and 1.579 million viewers. That’s up from 0.40 and 1.350 million the week before. (PI)
