LOS ANGELES – November 11, 2025 – COMBATE GLOBAL is setting up for its biggest 12 month run in the world’s premier Hispanic focused Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) sports franchise’s history.
In partnership with EstrellaTV, the multiplatform Spanish-language network owned by MediaCo Holding Inc. (Nasdaq: MDIA), COMBATE GLOBAL today announced that it will move its smash hit live television event series Spanish-language programming in the U.S. to EstrellaTV in 2026.
MediaCo’s EstrellaTV has secured multi-year exclusive broadcast TV rights to COMBATE GLOBAL and will also stream the live events on the EstrellaTV App and EstrellaTV FAST channel.
Additionally, it was announced that COMBATE GLOBAL will produce 20 live events next year featuring its brand of “Much More Action” under the bright lights at EstrellaTV’s massive, state-of-the-art television studio in Hollywood, Calif., beginning in February.
The February date as well as additional COMBATE GLOBAL live event dates will be announced soon.
“Live Sports is one of the biggest drivers of broadcast TV and streaming today,” said René Santaella, Chief Operating Officer, MediaCo, “COMBATE GLOBAL brings adrenaline driven viewership from a highly engaged audience to all of our platforms.”
“Our partnership with COMBATE GLOBAL enables us to create customizable sponsorship opportunities around live sports,” said Brian Fisher, Chief Revenue Officer, MediaCo, “We are excited to bring creative firsts to sponsors and to be a part of the action through innovative marketing tactics and media everywhere.”
The move to Estrella TV comes after COMBATE GLOBAL’s phenomenal 6-year run on Univision where, in a late-night slot in 2024, its last year on the broadcast television network, the MMA series averaged over 541,000 P2+ viewers, including over 228,000 viewers in the coveted A1849 demographic, according to Nielsen. EstrellaTV is delivering the biggest audience gains in the 2025–26 broadcast season among its competitors. In October, EstrellaTV was up +60% year over year in Adults 18–49, Monday-Sunday prime, the highest percentage increase among Spanish-language competitors.
“COMBATE GLOBAL will now deliver Much More Action from the west coast, in the town known for star power, and we are adding our own lineup of powerful stars and great story telling,” said COMBATE GLOBAL CEO Campbell McLaren.
While COMBATE GLOBAL will be relocating its studio event operation from Miami, where it produced 95 live shows between 2021 and 2024, to a very different type of environment in Tinseltown, the company has never been a stranger to star power.
“As a shareholder and a fan of COMBATE GLOBAL, I am thrilled that the company is moving to Los Angeles and EstrellaTV,” said famed, award-winning Mexican actress and COMBATE GLOBAL investor, Kate Del Castillo.
COMBATE GLOBAL has frequently rubbed shoulders with other Hispanic entertainment celebrities like Castillo, including award-winning reggaeton music icon Daddy Yankee; Mexican actors Eugenio Derbez and Gabriel Soto; the face of the Foos Gone Wild urban Hispanic comedy platform, “Lil Mr. E”; and former UFC world champion and MMA superstar, Julianna Peña, all of whom have attended Combate’s live events.
Ranked by Forbes as the 10th most valuable combat sports property in the world in 2024, COMBATE GLOBAL, according to Nielsen data, has, to date, garnered a unique television audience, 85 percent of which does not watch UFC events.
The television viewership on Univision also consistently beat that of far-more established sports properties, including Major League Baseball (MLB), NASCAR, soccer’s Premiere League and the National Hockey League (NHL) and, more than once, outperformed the ratings of MMA’s 800-pound gorilla, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
COMBATE GLOBAL’s start time on Estrella TV will be announced at a later date, as will the complete fight card for its first event next year.
