Ian’s Title Tuesday Dynamite Recap

AEW

Tonight, it’s Dynamite on a Tuesday! I’d like to pretend they moved it so I can watch the Leafs/Habs game tomorrow night, but somehow I don’t think that’s it. Mercedes Mone will defend against a yet-to-be-named Florida native, PAC will face Orange Cassidy, and more!

Tony Schiavone welcomes Hangman Page to the ring, then Samoa Joe. He announces that they’ve both agreed to no physicality, then hands Hangman the mic. He says in the entire history of AEW, he’s never been as confused as he was last week, at least until Joe said “You never beat me.” He says Joe is angry with himself for not being more focused on getting his title back, and says that he didn’t give Joe a title shot for the way he acted last week, he gave it to him because he owes him one, but he won’t let him take the title. Joe says everything Hangman has said is true, but Hangman is a pretender. He says he should have done this sooner, but he suspects Hangman is trying to give him short notice on purpose. Hangman says no one’s opinion of him is the measure of who he is as a champion, his performance in the ring is. He says Joe will beat his ass, but Hangman will outlast him, and when it’s over, he just hopes Joe has the same spirit that he did after All In.

Earlier today, Alicia Atout interviewed The Conglomeration. Briscoe runs down the night his teammates will have, and they all celebrate.
