In this interview Je’Von Evans talks about appearing on NXT, TNA, and the WWE main roster: “I am literally taking every opportunity that I can. I’m grinding. I don’t know. I don’t have mixed emotions about it but, my thoughts are everywhere. My end goal is trying to be the best, ever, you know what I mean? So whatever I can to accomplish that goal – or whatever I can do to accomplish that goal, that’s what I’ma do. So if that means go everywhere and be everywhere at one place, that’s what The Young O.G. gonna do. Come on now.”
In addition Evans talks about facing Randy Orton in NXT: “I ain’t gonna lie my boy, I was nervous. Come on now. I was shaking in my boots. It was such a great learning experience bro. A great opportunity. It was something that I wasn’t expecting, or at least this early in my career… I get butterflies thinking about it, and it’s been happened but I still get butterflies about the match. But, it was such a great experience, and now, now I’m able to connect with Randy, and get advice and text him and call him whenever I want to. It’s great. It’s a blessing for sure, for sure, and I think that match helped me develop who Je’Von Evans is.”
Never heard of Ned Fulmer formerly of the Try Guys? You have now. He worked an off-air match at the Collision and ROH tapings last night, teaming with Angelico & Serpentico against the Frat House. Not everybody was happy to see him there.
Valerie Marella-Jankowski, daughter of the late Gorilla Monsoon, explains why an A&E documentary about her father was cancelled: “We were excited to have somebody finally recognizing him, and you know, my mom was kind of on the fence in the beginning. ‘What do you wanna lose?’ He had this great career, this great life, and somebody needs to tell the world about it. I know back in the day – I don’t know if it was the 80s or when it was, but when A&E was doing all the biographies. We would watch them every Sunday night and they were really good. I mean, they were great, and they approached us and they said, ‘You know, we’d like to do one on your dad,’ and we were like, ‘Oh yeah, great. Okay.’ But it was right after they did the Bret Hart Montreal Screwjob one, and Vince (McMahon), for whatever reason, didn’t like the way he was portrayed, and I mean, it’s a documentary. That’s how you are, you know? And he told them that he would never give them another piece of footage, anything, ever again. So they called us back and they said, ‘Listen, we still wanna do it. But here’s the deal, we can’t get any footage, and I thought, ‘Well, that’s gonna suck.’ You’re not going to be able to show him commentating, you’re not going to be able to show him wrestling. You’re not gonna be able to show anything. What’s it gonna be like? A couple pictures?’ So we were kind of like, ‘Eh… put it on the back burner and we’ll think about it,’ and then my mom was like, ‘That’s not gonna honor your father. You know, it’s gonna be crappy,’ and we didn’t want that. Eventually, I guess he changed his mind and he gave ’em footage because I’ve seen other ones after that. But they never came back to us about it and so, maybe we gave ’em a bad taste, you know, we didn’t wanna do it – it’s not that we didn’t wanna do it. We just didn’t wanna do it half-assed.”

AJ Styles says once he’s retired he’ll stay retired: “Alright, well, well, let’s just be honest about the whole thing. I don’t know if you guys noticed, haven’t been in the main event picture lately. So, I just assumed that I wasn’t that important. But it sounds like, to me, the fans wanted this match, and at the end of the day, when it comes to John Cena’s retirement tour, we’re gonna give them what they want. So, I’m happy to have the opportunity to face John one more time and I can tell you this, it’ll never happen again. I don’t care how much money they offer us, we’re probably still – I said probably – we’re not going to Saudi Arabia to have another match. This is it. I know in my heart, this is the right thing and John’s gonna be retiring soon and I’m gonna be right behind him. It’s just the reality of two guys who have busted their butt for so many years, and busted their bodies at the same time. It’s time.”
