New details have emerged in the surprising release of Andrade revealed on Saturday. The wrestler born Manuel Alfonso Andrade Oropeza, also known as La Sombra and Andrade El Idolo, had at least one Wellness Policy violation during his second stint with WWE. The nature of the violation is not public but he was suspended without pay for a time because of it. He was also doing something at a taping last month that caused him to be asked to leave, with a security escort ensuring he left peacefully and did not return to the venue. Being asked to leave was “related to” his suspension and also affected booking plans for him and Rey Fenix, who he was teaming with at the time. These details have been confirmed by Jon Alba for Sports Illustrated as well as PWInsider. The latter also debunked a rumor that he was asked to work with AAA and refused to do so.
Former WWE Raw guest host and professional boxing champion Ricky Hatton has passed away at 46 years old on Sunday. He was found in his own home and foul play is not suspected but further details are still pending. He was the WBA Welterweight Title holder in 2006 and during his time in the ring amassed a record of 45-3 with 32 knockouts. My condolences to his family, friends and fans.
