Corey Graves, JBL and Rey Mysterio are on English commentary for the event as per usual. Laredo Kid comes out with the AAA Mixed World Tag Team Title over his shoulder, and he has something to say to the crowd in Mexico City. Rey Mysterio translates for the English commentary. Laredo Kid calls himself the king of the cruiserweights, reminds us that he was the champion for over 500 days before losing the title, and he will plan to take the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship back. He mocks the champion Rey Fenix for having his brother Penta help him along the way, calls himself a revolutionary in lucha libre, and says nobody can stop him.
Jack Cartwheel shows up to drop Laredo Kid with a missile dropkick from the top rope! Jack Cartwheel grabs the microphone to say it’s HIS time now and he wants the Cruiserweight Championship. Takuma of the Tokyo Bad Boys drops Jack from behind with a double axe handle to the back of the head and tosses him out the ring! Takuma also says he wants an opportunity for the Cruiserweight Championship. Laredo attacks Takuma, then Jack superkicks Laredo, and Takuma kicks Jack in the jaw. All three men square off and fight each other until the champion Rey Fenix walks out to a big ovation. Fenix says there more than one luchador who wants a shot, tells Laredo Kid he still spits stupidity, and he basically owns him in the ring. To Takuma and Jack, Fenix says he likes to see this fire, and so for tonight’s open challenge it will be all three of them challenging for the title in a fatal 4-way match!
Backstage, Psycho Clown spots Pagano sitting in his locker room. Pagano tells him that he’s giving him one last opportunity to leave AAA before it’s too late, Psycho Clown kicks him out, then suddenly El Carnicero walks up behind Psycho, slams his head in the wall and beats him down!
