MIAMI – April 15, 2025 – Samsung and COMBATE GLOBAL today announced the rollout of two Samsung TV Plus FAST Channels tomorrow, Wednesday, April 16.
The channels will serve as the exclusive FAST Channel homes for live events produced by the world’s premier Hispanic Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) sports franchise, beginning with the previously announced COMBATE GLOBAL event on Thursday, April 24.
The deal with COMBATE GLOBAL marks Samsung’s first partnership to distribute prime time live combat sports programming on Samsung TV Plus, the #1 free ad-supported TV streaming app on Samsung Smart TVs and Galaxy devices.
The two channels – “Combate Global” and “Combate Global en Español – will also feature fight action from COMBATE GLOBAL’s extensive library of over 130 live events.
“COMBATE GLOBAL is the most exciting version of MMA, and Samsung TV PLUS is the most exciting FAST channel platform. Together, we are a one-two knockout punch,” said COMBATE GLOBAL CEO Campbell McLaren.
The new partnership provides COMBATE GLOBAL with another valuable opportunity to take its live event series to a digital audience and to continue discovering and engaging with new fans that previously had not been MMA viewers, something that the company has prided itself in doing since 2018 with its country versus country format of competition among the best new fighters in the sport.
