LOS ANGELES – April 20, 2026 – COMBATE GLOBAL today announced that world-ranked Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) superstar Daniel “D-Rod” Rodriguez will join the live television broadcast of the first ‘Foos Fighting Championship’ Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event in history as a guest color commentator on Saturday, April 25 in Burbank, Calif.
Co-promoted by the wildly popular Hispanic urban comedy platform Foos Gone Wild and COMBATE GLOBAL, the previously announced ‘Foos Fighting Championship’ show will air live in English in the U.S. on COMBATE GLOBAL’s channel on Samsung TV Plus and stream live worldwide on the COMBATE GLOBAL YouTube channel, beginning at 9:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. PT.
The event will also broadcast live in Spanish in the U.S. on EstrellaTV and Samsung TV Plus (COMBATE GLOBAL has both an English and Spanish language channel on Samsung TV Plus in the U.S.), and in Mexico on Samsung TV Plus.
Also announced today was a complete lineup of seven bouts, which Rodriguez will call the action for alongside fellow guest color commentator, “Concrete”, and blow-by-blow announcer Ben “The Bane” Davis.
“I’ve been doing my homework on these foos and I already know we’re gonna see some sick fades in La Jaula,” said Lil’ Mr. E, the founder and face of the Los Angeles-based Foos Gone Wild.
“This event puts a fun spin on the sport of MMA, but I think we are also going to see the emergence of a few potential future stars that we wouldn’t necessarily have had an opportunity to look at had we not created this event with Lil’ Mr. E and Foos Gone Wild,” said COMBATE GLOBAL CEO Campbell McLaren.
Tickets for the first-ever “COMBATE GLOBAL Presents: Foos Fighting Championship” MMA event are on sale at Ticketon.com.
In the “Foos Fighting Championship” flyweight (125 pounds) main event announced today, Joseph Muñoz (2-0) of Canoga Park, Calif. will square off with Ariel Huizar (4-3) of Ensenada, B.C., Mexico.
A light heavyweight (205 pounds) contest will pit Jake Lleckfelt (1-0) of Long Beach, Calif. against Bobby Liles (0-0) of Fresno, Calif.

The ‘Foos Fighting Championship’ series matches real-life ‘foos’, who embody the Foos Gone Wild brand in some fashion and have a passion for fighting, against each other La Jaula, the COMBATE GLOBAL competition cage.
Like the UFC’s ‘Contender Series’, Foos Fighting Championship will serve as a feeder system for COMBATE GLOBAL’s professional series of MMA events, and search for the tough guy who has beaten everyone up in the gym.
The Foos Fighting Championship card will be regulated by California Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Association in accordance with California state regulations.
