Tonight is the first Dynamite after an overall pretty damn good Double or Nothing PPV! MJF is once again World Champion, Kevin Knight is a bad guy now (although he turned on Darby AFTER The match so technically the two are unrelated), and Stadium Stampede traded brutality for levity but somehow still turned out just as good! Tonight, we see what’s next, both in AEW in general, and as the Owen Hart Cups continue.
Dynamite opens with footage from after DON, where Will Ospreay tells Renee how good he’s feeling. He then runs into Kenny Omega in the trainers’ room. Kenny tells Ospreay the Death Riders are dangerous, and says he would have helped train him if he asked. Ospreay says he couldn’t ask Kenny, because he’s not there every week. Kenny says he has his own way of dealing with things, and he needed to take some time. He says he’s not saying not to trust the Death Riders, just to be careful. Moxley walks in and says that’s good advice, because everyone has their skeletons.
The live broadcast opens with Kevin Knight hitting the ring. He says everyone keeps asking him “why?”. He says he told Darby not to let everyone down, but he did. He says he decided not to trust the process anymore, because he’s still the last person to beat MJF. He says he should have been in the main event, but instead he was benched, so he took it upon himself. He says Darby told him, when he first broke into the business, not to waste any time. So he didn’t.
Speedball comes out and says he understands Knight’s frustrations, but they also know him. They say Knight’s ambition is his best and worst quality, because it drives him, but it also causes him to make mistakes. They say he can still fix this if he apologizes. Knight goes to leave the ring, but then hits Speedball with a lariat. He puts his hands across his mouth like he regrets it, but then hits an uranage.
Backstage, Ricochet says he and his team got screwed in Stadium Stampede, and they’re trying to screw him over again by banning The Demand from ringside during his match with Jericho tonight, but it won’t matter, because Jericho will never pin Ricochet, especially with a weak Lionsault.

Match Two: Superstation Showcase 4-Way: Orange Cassidy vs. Lio Rush vs. Brian Cage vs. Rush
Rush tosses Cassidy to the floor while Cage tosses Lio, Rush and Cage trade punches in the ring, Cage with boots, hurricanrana, doesn’t quite get there, Rush with a forearm, Cage with a clothesline, Rush with a German, Cage with an Air Raid Crash, Cassidy and Lio both run in and try to cover someone, only get 1, Cassidy with facetious kicks to Lio, Lio senses a real one is coming and runs for the ropes, then fakes out Cassidy, sunset clip, blocked, whip, Cassidy with a dropkick, Lio to the floor, Cassidy misses a suicide dive, Lio with a handstand kick in the ring, Cage goes for a powerbomb on Lio, reversed into a hurricanrana, Lio with a dropkick sending Cage to the floor, suicide dive, Cage catches him and goes for a delayed vertical, Cassidy with a suicide dive into both of them, Rush fakes a suicide dive but does the Tranquilo pose instead, rolls to the floor, Cassidy in the ring, does the Tranquilo pose, Rush comes in and hits a forearm, stomp, stomps in the corner, boot, Tranquilo pose, Cage is beating up Lio on the floor, Rush with a gut punch to Cassidy, toss to the corner, Cassidy floats to the apron, forearm, toss into the turnbuckle, repeat, Cage goes to toss Lio into the ring post, reversed and Cage goes in instead, Cassidy goes up top, Rush crotches him, goes for a superplex, Lio blocks by biting Rush’s leg, hits him with an enziguri, goes up top to meet Cassidy, Cassidy shoves him down, Lio crotches him, Cage gets Lio in an Electric Chair, Lio rolls out, shoves Cage into Cassidy to crotch him, Cage tackles Lio, goes up top with Cassidy, Cassidy with forearms, Cage tumbles down, Cassidy calls for a 450 but instead hits a limp elbow drop, tosses Cage to the corner, blocked, Cage with a kick, superplex for two as Rush breaks the count, stomps Cage, Cage with a knee lift, body slam for two as Lio breaks the count, forearms to Cage, Cage hits the Drill Claw for two, Cassidy goes up top, Cage dares him to jump, he does, Cage catches him for a Drill Claw, reversed into Stundog Millionaire, DDT for two, Cage rolls to the floor, Cassidy hits him with a DDT for two, Rocky Romero and Lance Archer emerge and confront Cassidy, he holds his own until a returning Jake Doyle clubs him from behind, Roderick Strong comes out to brawl with Doyle, the respective teams fight to the back leaving Rush and Lio Rush in the ring, Lio hits a springboard cutter, spear for two, goes up top, misses a frog splash, Rush with a forearm, pulls Lio to the floor, toss into the barricade, toss into a different part of the barricade, chokes Lio with a production cable, slams his head repeatedly into the barricade, rolls him into the ring, toss to the corner, double foot stomps, The Horns for three.

MJF arrives dragging the title belt. Renee tries to get a word in, Kevin Knight walks in, MJF says he knows Knight did what he did to pay respects to the greatest draw in AEW, and it’s appreciated. Knight says that’s not the case, and he will beat him for the World Championship some day. As MJF walks off, Kyle Fletcher walks in and says Knight’s belt looks nice. Don Callis walks in and pitches to Knight.
