WWE: NXT Vengeance Day 2026 Recap – New Champion!

NXT superstars are looking for Vengeance tonight! Ricky Saints challenges Joe Hendry for the NXT Championship. Izzi Dame defends the Women’s North American Title against Tatum Paxley. Tony D’Angelo faces off against Dion Lennox. Blake Monroe takes on Jaida Parker in a Street Fight! Also, Lola Vice is ready to fight Kelani Jordan in the underground match! We start out seeing everybody make their entrances into the building, then we get the opening video package. Dion Lennox is seen pacing in the parking lot waiting for Tony D’Angelo to show up. But first, we have action in the ring for our first match! Vic Joseph and Booker T are the commentators for the event. Jaida Parker has a new beat for her theme song.

* Street Fight: Blake Monroe vs. Jaida Parker

Blake starts with a slap, Jaida takes her down for punches, Blake with a Thesz Press and punches, she takes one of several kendo sticks off the ropes, they spill out the ring, Jaida fights her off, and slams her head on the ring apron. Jaida pulls out a table, Blake interrupts her, Jaida blocks the double-arm DDT, and counters with a snap suplex. Blake steals someone’s umbrella from the crowd, throws her into the ringpost, brings out a few chairs from under the ring and tosses them in, then slides the table back under. Blake sends her into the ring, Jaida with a forearm to the back, Blake hits a neckbreaker, and covers for 2.

Blake sets up a chair on top of two kendo sticks in the ropes, and Jaida takes advantage dropping her on the chair, then hits her with the kendo stick! Blake shoves her into the apron outside the ring, Jaida shoves her into the announce table, she pulls out another table in front of the announcers, Blake interrupts her again, Jaida fights her off and slams her head on the steel steps, but Blake moves away from the hip attack. Blake sends her back into the ring, goes up top, hits the front missile dropkick, and covers for 2. Blake blasts her with a kendo stick, hits a front legsweep using the kendo, and covers for a 2-count.

Blake heads out to bring a metal trash can into the ring, Jaida rams her into the turnbuckles, sets her up on the top, Blake slides underneath, places a chair under her, slams her into it with the tree of woe, sandwiches her in-between two chairs, mocks Jaida’s high steps, and hits the running hip attack for a near-fall. Blake punches her with a chain on her hand, then locks in the Crossface using a kendo stick, but Jaida counters for 2. Jaida whacks her with a kendo stick, several snapmares, shoulder tackle, gets on the middle ropes, hits a blockbuster, and Blake rolls out the ring to save herself. Jaida kicks a trash can into her midsection, limps over to reset the table, but Blake hits her in the back with a trash can lid!

Blake pulls a black bag and a brick from under the ring, Jaida puts her with a steel chair, places her on the table, gets on the apron, and hits the TEAR DROP from the bottom rope THROUGH THE TABLE! Jaida throws her back into the ring, hits the HIP-NOTIC, covers, and gets 2.9! Blake throws her into a kendo stick breaking it on her head, hits the knee to the jaw, and covers for 2.9! Blake with a hammer throw into the turnbuckles, dumps the bag on diamonds onto the mat, Jaida gets on the ropes, Blake throws a few diamonds in her face, hits a hurricanrana off the ropes into the diamonds, then delivers the DOUBLE ARM DDT INTO THE DIAMONDS!! 1-2-3!!! WINNER: BLAKE MONROE!

What a strong opener!!

Backstage in the locker room, Ricky Saints asks Ethan Page where he was last Tuesday when he had his concert. The Vanity Project were there to have his back against Joe Hendry and Myles Borne, but Ethan was nowhere because he was sulking about losing the North American Championship. Ethan snaps out of it, promises Saints that he’ll be there for him in his match tonight, and Saints thanks him.

Outside, someone pulls up in a yellow car, Dion Lennox grabs him, but it’s not Tony D’Angelo. The rest of DarkState pull Lennox off of the guy, and D’Angelo attacks him from behind with a crowbar! Lennox avoids a keg being thrown at him, they battle into the building, and Tony closes the garage door so that DarkState can’t get in that way. Lennox picks up a weapon, but D’Angelo whacks him with a trash can. DarkState found another way in and go on the attack to help their stablemate, and several referees show up to get some control for them to fight in the ring. Back to one-on-one, they topple over equipment boxes, the fight continues with everything they can find backstage, and Tony drags him around until DarkState are back in the fight. Lennox picks up the crowbar, but OTM interfere and a bigger brawl breaks out with more superstars from the locker room getting involved! Referee Felix Hernandez gets in the ring, then D’Angelo and Lennox burst through the wall to ringside! Both men make it into the ring, and as they get to their feet the bell dings!

* Dion Lennox vs. Tony D’Angelo

This match is now finally official! D’Angelo sends him into the turnbuckles, Lennox side-steps, and stomps a mudhole into him. D’Angelo avoids a big boot against the ringpost, Lennox rakes his face against the middle rope, cross-face forearm shots, delivers a spinebuster, and covers for 2. Dion sends him into the turnbuckles, Tony side-steps him, German suplex, rolls through for another German, still holds on for another suplex, then delivers a release German suplex. D’Angelo grabs him for another German suplex, picks him up for a torture rack neckbreaker, and clotheslines him out the ring. D’Angelo crashes into the steel steps as Lennox moves out the way. Lennox picks up the top half of the steps, tries to crush him leg, D’Angelo avoids it, Lennox launches him over the barricade into the front row behind the announcers, and SUPLEXES D’ANGELO THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE!! “This is awesome! This is awesome!” The referee starts his count, Dion stumbles around, pulls Tony up and into the ring, slides in at 8, delivers a rebound sit-out powerbomb, and gets a near-fall. Lennox punches him down, D’Angelo won’t stay down, he blocks punches, headbutts him, Lennox counters a choke slam, D’Angelo delivers the spear, plants him with the SPINEBUSTER, and covers for 1-2-3!! WINNER: TONY D’ANGELO!

Another great big brawl leading to a fight to keep the momentum going! Vic Joseph asks, “What’s phase two for Tony D’Angelo?” We get a commercial for WWE 2K26.

Backstage Lola Vice is getting her injured right hand wrapped up. We get a video package of the friendship-turned-feud between Tatum Paxley and Izzi Dame, and tonight they’ll battle over the Women’s North American Championship. Tatum comes out first in new green attire ready to challenge for the title. Izzi heads out next with the rest of The Culling by her side.

* NXT Women’s North American Championship: Tatum Paxley vs. Izzi Dame {C}

Tatum goes on the attack jumping on her and wailing away, then jumps on her back with a sleeper. Izzi rams her into the turnbuckles, Tatum dropkicks her, Izzi exits the ring, so Tatum follows her to keep the pressure on the champion, and drops her with a cannonball off the steps. Izzi backs her into the steel steps, the referee counts up to 5, Tatum kicks her in the head, they get back in at 8, Tatum hits a jumping elbow drop, and covers for a 2-count. Tatum attacks her in a corner, splashes her midsection, suplexes her, Izzi blocks the Cemetary Drive, Tatum counters the spinebuster with a DDT roll-up for 2, and Izzi clotheslines her.

They trade punches and kicks, Tatum gets sent to a corner, Izzi kicks her in the ribs, hits a big boot, stomps her down, and hits a basement dropkick. Izzi hangs her up in the turnbuckles, another kick to the midsection, running kitchen sink attack, Tatum rolls her up for 2, crucifix for 2, Izzi with another running knee, stomps on her ribs, gets a 2-count, then puts her in the abdominal stretch. Tatum reverses into her own abdominal stretch, Izzi counters with a hiptoss, Tatum drops her, forearm shots, Izzi blocks the crossbody, plants her with a backbreaker, running senton drop, and gets 2.

Izzi puts her in the Liontamer, Tatum kicks her off, rolls her through into the Boston crab, Izzi grabs the bottom rope to break the hold, and sends her out the ring. Tatum sends her into the ringpost, both women get back in the ring, Tatum superkicks her, hits a couple more forearm smashes, high kick, German suplex, Izzi tosses her onto the apron, and Tatum hits the step-up enzuigir from the floor! Tatum gets back in the ring, hits a somersault hangover kick to the back, and covers for 2. Tatum goes up top, Izzi cuts her off with a slap, Tatum blocks the superplex, knocks her back down, Izzi avoids the 450 Splash, Tatum rolls through, Izzi hits the shotgun dropkick and covers for 2.

Both women trade blows back and forth, Tatum with a facebuster, thrust kick, drops her with the sit-out spinebuster, hits the 450 Splash, and covers for 1-2-KICKOUT!! Izzi blocks the Cemetary Drive, tosses her onto the apron, Tatum kicks her in the head, Izzi hits the big boot, delivers a release back suplex into a cutter, and gets a near-fall. Izzi sits on the apron for a breather, but Tatum grabs her head, Izzi knocks her back, and Tatum leaps over the ropes for a sunset flip powerbomb on the floor! Tatum gets her back into the ring, Shawn Spears stares her down, the referee continues his count, gets up to 9, Tatum runs into the ring, Izzi plants her with the spinebuster, and covers for 2.99! Tatum counters a gutwrench powerbomb into a hurricanrana pin for 2, side-steps her sending Izzi into Spears knocking him off the apron, rolls her up for another 2-count, Tatum backflips to counter the lungblower, hits a spinning wheel kick, hits the CEMETARY DRIVE and covers for 1-2-3!!!! WINNER and NEW NXT WOMEN’S NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPION: TATUM PAXLEY!!

What a finish! Tatum has won the title on her own in a well-deserved victory!

Backstage, OTM get interviewed about their interference in the brawl earlier. Bronco Nima says that they didn’t do it for Tony D’Angelo. They wanted to get their hands on DarkState. Lucien Price adds that in Stand & Deliver season, and they still want the Tag Team Titles. OTM want to get their hands on DarkState as well as go for the titles in the near-future.

Interim NXT General Manager Robert Stone is in the ring to address the Women’s Championship, and invites Fatal Influence to join him in the ring. Jacy Jayne steals the microphone, claims that she will enter and exit Stand & Deliver as the women’s champ. “At this point in my career, I’ve probably been through every up and down in this business. The ups, the downs, the betrayals, the injuries. I wouldn’t being lying if I said I wasn’t nervous to be getting that phone call.” Jacy said last year at Stand & Deliver she was in a tag match, and now she’s had the best year of her career. Jacy boasts that next year she could very well be in the main event of WrestleMania. Jacy reminds us that two weeks ago she defeated Sol Ruca in six seconds, obviously omitting that she was attacked before the bell, then says she almost beat Zaria last week if it wasn’t for Sol getting involved. Zaria comes out to call Jacy delusional and blames Sol for not being the champion. Robert Stone tries to get a word in, but Fallon Henley cuts him off to say that Jacy has more “toxic” baggage than anyone else. Lainey Reid chimes in to add that she’s helped Jacy keep her title on several occasions, but Zaria has no help on her side. Zaria points out that Jacy can’t fully trust her teammates.

Sol Ruca comes out to say that all she sees are two souls that she’s gonna snatch. Sol tells Zaria that she trusted her, but she reminds her that she knows her, her moves, and how to break her heart. Stone finally speaks to say that Jacy Jayne will defend her NXT Women’s Championship in Houston, Texas in two weeks on the Tuesday after next in a triple threat match against Zaria and Sol Ruca! The fight breaks out as The Fatal Influence attack Sol Ruca, Zaria pulls them off to get in Sol’s face, Jacy grabs Zaria, but Zaria picks her up, Jacy slips off, Fallon saves Jacy as Sol goes for and hits Zaria with the Sol Snatcher, then Lainey hits Sol with a running knee! The Fatal Influence stand tall to close the segment.

Backstage, Tavion Heights and Charlie Dempsey are bickering until they get approached by Lexis King, Uriah Conners, Channing Lorenzo and the TNA Knockouts World Champion Arianna Grace. They question Dempsey for joining them, but Charlie declines. Lexis lists their famous fathers – Brian Pillman, Fit Finlay, Santino Marella, and William Regal – but they are unsuccessful on getting him to join them and walk off. Tavion Heights convinces Charlie Dempsey for one night only to revive the NQCC on Tuesday for a tag match.

We get a video package for the feud between Lola Vice and Kelani Jordan as the crew changes the ring for the underground match setting. Kelani Jordan heads to the ring first showing no fear for this match. Lola Vice comes out next with even more confidence as she’s 3-0 in NXT Underground Matches. Lola hands her AAA Mixed Tag Team Title to her father and salutes the rest of her family sitting in the front row.

* NXT Underground Match: Kelani Jordan vs. Lola Vice {AAA Mixed Tag Team Champion}

Mike Rome does the official introductions for this match, and Victoria D’Errico will be the referee. The bell dings and Lola does a double-leg right away to take her down, Kelani goes for an armbar, Lola rolls her over into a submission, then puts her in the triangle as Kelani punches her ribs to release. Lola stuffs her on the tabkedown, locks in the rear naked choke, Kelani rolls through for a headlock, traps the hand, but Lola gets to her feet and lands the kicks. Kelani wraps her hand around the ringpost and goes on the attack, delivers a northern lights suplex with a hammerlock, and she stomps on the hand followed by a kneedrop on the hand.

Kelani rips off the protective glove to work on the hand, kicks her in the gut, then lands a moonsault across her back with the hammerlock. Lola punches her with the left, Kelani drags her to the corner, slam her hand on the ringpost, then finally pulls Kelani head-first into the ringpost. Lola goes for a waistlock, Kelani grabs her hand, Lola with a back kick, delivers the German suplex, looks towards her father, and goes on heavy offense with several kicks. Lola kicks her out the ring, kicks other men around at ringside, shoves her into the barricade in front of her father, gets in Lola’s father’s face to taunt him, gets Lola back in the ring, backflips to avoid a swing, and Lola connects with the BACKFIST!! LOLA POUNCES AND THE REF STOPS THE MATCH!! WINNER by Knockout: LOLA VICE!!

Lola Vice is still undefeated in NXT Underground matches! Great match! Lola heads over to her father who is also studied Tae Kwon Do, and he kisses her hand and shows his support. We get a promo for NXT Stand & Deliver in St. Louis on Saturday, April 4th.

Backstage, Jacy Jayne whine and complains about defending her championship in a triple threat match in less than two weeks. Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley try to calm her down, and Lainey offers to take on Sol Ruca this Tuesday on NXT. Jacy asks Fallon if she’ll take on Zaria, but Fallon reminds her that she is also a champion who will have to defend her title in Houston against either Wren Sinclair or Thea Hail.

We get a video package to highlight the NXT Championship title scene since Oba Femi vacated the championship in January. Joe Hendry won a ladder match to become the new NXT Champion, and Ricky Saints has been a thorn in his side ever since. Their feud has led to tonight’s match in the main event for the title. Mike Rome does the proper title match introductions, referee Adrian Butler shows off the championship, and calls for the bell to get the main event underway.

* NXT Championship: Ricky Saints vs. Joe Hendry {C}

Ricky kicks and punches him at the bell, slaps him on the back, Hendry punches him, chases him around the ring, Saints knocks him down and Hendry’s foot gets caught in the ropes! Saints goes on the attack without wasting time and fights him at ringside. Saints chops him, Hendry chops him back, Saints slams his head on the top turnbuckle, Hendry hits a shoulder tackle, hits a few big chops, hiptosses him out the corne, more chops, stomps him down, and another hiptoss. Hendry tosses him onto the apron, suplexes him back in with a delay, and covers for 2.

Hendry hits a European uppercut, Saints hits a swinging neckbreaker, covers for 2, elbow to the neck, Hendry blocks a suplex, hits his own swinging neckbreaker, Saints takes his arm, walks the top rope, Hendry crotches him, and knocks him down to the floor. Saints with a throat chop, throws him hard into the steel steps, back into the ring, and covers for 2. Saints hits a neckbreaker, hits a sliding basement kick, covers for 2, then puts him in a chinlock as the crowd does dueling chants for both men. Hendry gets to his feet, battles out, Saints hits a back elbow, sends him to a corner, punches him, poses, and sends him back to the floor. Saints hits a double axe handle from the apron in front of the announce table, throws him back into the ring, delivers a back suplex, and gets a near-fall.

Saints rolls him up for 2, pulls him into the middle turnbuckle, connects with a corner basement dropkick, and covers for 2. He picks up the champ, delivers the fallaway slam, kips up, poses, and spins around to mock him. Hendry immediately spears him, fights back, clotheslines him, catches him, hits the fallaway slam, and spins around! Saints dives off the middle ropes, Hendry blocks the hurricanrana with a powerbomb, and gets a near-fall. Both men trade punches, Saints with a backslide for 2, delivers the air raid crash, 2-count, then puts him in the crossface. Hendry counters, Saints keeps the hold on, they get back to their feet, and Saints locks in the guillotine! Hendry keeps his arm up to stay in the match, gets to his feet, and counters with a dead-lift vertical suplex!

Saints goes for Rochambo, but Hendry blocks, picks him up, Saints counters, superkicks him, moonsaults, lands on his feet as Hendry moved out the way, the champ delivers the Attitude Adjustment, and covers for 2.9!! Saints gets on the ropes, Hendry cuts him off with a European uppercut, delivers the avalanche fallaway slam, Saints rolls away from the impact, and Hendry covers for a near-fall! Hendry grabs him for the Standing Ovation, but Saints counters with the roll-up for 2, plants him with a DDT, and covers for 1-2-NO!

Ethan Page heads out to ringside, picks up the NXT Championship off the podium, and stares into it on his way to the ring. Hendry rolls Saints up for 2, misses a clothesline, Saints hits the SPEAR, and Page slides the title into the ring but it went too far! Hendry, Saints and referee Adrian Butler all have a tug-of-war with the title, the ref has it and passes it to a stagehand at ringside, Saints with a LOW BLOW to the champ behind the ref’s back, hits the REVOLUTION DDT, covers, and gets 1-2-KICKOUT!!! Saints punches him repeatedly in a corner, Hendry goes for the Standing Ovation, , Saints blocks it, they almost crush the ref, several Irish whips reversals, Hendry almost crashes into the ref, Saints grabs Hendry from behind, Hendry hits the MULE KICK LOW BLOW as payback to Saints behind the ref’s back, plants him with the STANDING OVATION, COVERS, 1-2-3!!! WINNER and STILL NXT CHAMPION: JOE HENDRY!!

We believe in Joe Hendry!! What a main event as the champ retains his title! Ethan Page helps Ricky Saints to the back as he tries to recover. Joe Hendry spins around and waves his NXT Championship from side-to-side to close the show!
