NEW YORK (January 12, 2026) – The Professional Fighters League (PFL) today announced that Jason Oberlander has been named Chief Commercial Officer, bringing more than two decades of leadership experience driving global partnerships, sponsorship revenue, and commercial growth across the world’s most influential sports and entertainment platforms.

In his role as Chief Commercial Officer, Oberlander will lead PFL’s global partnerships business, overseeing all aspects of sponsorship strategy, revenue generation, and partner innovation as the PFL continues its rapid international expansion. He will report directly to PFL CEO John Martin and play a central role in accelerating the league’s commercial scale across media, brand, and live event platforms.

“Jason Oberlander is one of the most accomplished commercial executives in the sports industry,” said PFL CEO John Martin. “He has built and scaled world-class partnership organizations across leagues, venues, and global portfolios, and he understands how to create long-term value for brands at the highest level. Jason’s leadership will be a major force as PFL continues to expand.”

Oberlander joins PFL after most recently serving as Founder and Chairman of DRVN Sports & Entertainment, an agency focused on partnership development for sports, media, and entertainment properties. Prior to founding DRVN, Oberlander was Chief Commercial Officer at ASM Global, where he built the company’s commercial partnerships business from the ground up into a 50-person organization, delivering naming rights, enterprise, and multi-venue partnerships across a global portfolio of more than 400 venues. He played a key role in supporting ASM Global’s $2.4 billion acquisition by Legends and the subsequent integration of commercial operations.

Earlier in his career, Oberlander spent nearly a decade with IMG and Learfield IMG College, ultimately serving as Senior Vice President of National Sales, where he led large-scale sales organizations and managed a $100 million-plus annual book of business. He previously held senior leadership roles with the NBA League Office in Global Marketing Partnerships, where he helped secure landmark league-wide partnerships and drove significant revenue growth across the NBA, WNBA, USA Basketball, and the NBA G League.

Oberlander began his career in sports and entertainment marketing with Showtime Sports & Events, MTV Networks, and CBS-Viacom, building a foundation across media, content, and integrated brand solutions.

“I am thrilled to join the PFL and to lead their commercial team,” said Jason Oberlander. “The incredible tailwinds in the global growth of the sport coupled with the new vision and energy from John and his executive team are going to open up powerful opportunities for brands to engage with fight fans around the world.”

Born in Toronto, Oberlander holds a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is based in Santa Monica, California, with his wife and two daughters.
