AAA’s Rey de Reyes is back in 2026 and takes place in Pueblo, Mexico and it will be a three-week event! Tonight is week one and we have a stacked card of championship matches as well as the finals for the Rey de Reyes tournament! Night one is streamed live on Saturday, March 14th on WWE’s YouTube channel in English and on AAA Lucha Libre’s YouTube channel en espaƱol. We get an opening package for tonight’s big night. Rey Fenix comes out to a huge pop to open the show. Fenix is blessed to back in Puebla with the crowd, and hypes up tonight’s Rey de Reyes 2026 event. He calls tonight a special night with surprises and it’s a special night for lucha libre and la raza. Fenix introduces his brother, who is also his favorite wrestler, and the new WWE Intercontinental Champion – Penta El Cero Miedo!
Out comes the first-ever Mexican-born WWE Intercontinental Champion to the ring to a thunderous applause, and the crowd chants “Cero Miedo!” Penta tells Fenix not to leave the ring and stay with him, and the crowd chants “Lucha Brothers!” Penta tells his brother to remember that they dreamed of being part of WWE, and they were supposed to reunite in AAA but he hurt his shoulder, so Rey Mysterio had to take his place. Penta says since they are together, maybe the crowd wants to see the Lucha Bros again. He announces that next time they return to Puebla that they come back as a team, and the crowd deserves to see them team up once again. Penta turns his attention to the Rey de Reyes tradition that’s been in Mexico for 29 years, and the four competitors who will have the opportunity to battle for the sword in the finals of the tournament. He says Intercontinental Championship represents the hard work that people go through every single day, and he wants to make the title important and defend it on Monday Night Raw and here in Mexico! Penta heads back up the ramp with the title and the crowd chanting his name.
Lady Flammer heads out for the first title match of the night, and it’s an open challenge to any woman on Raw or SmackDown! Who will answer the challenge?? Will Flammer lose the title after 945 days, one day away from breaking the record??
* AAA Reina de Reinas Championship – Open Challenge: Flammer {C} vs. Bayley
They lock up collar-and-elbow, Bayley takes control, Flammer reverses, Bayley with a headlock takeover, rolls into a crucifix pin for 1, Flammer counters for 1, and Bayley counters for 1 until a stand-off. Flammer misses a clothesline, Bayley with an armdrag, puts her in a head scissors, and Flammer escapes the hold. Flammer hits a big forearm smash, Irish whip across the ring, Bayley comes back with a snapmare into a sliding clothesline, Flammer exits the ring, Bayley dropkicks her under the bottom ropes, throws her back in, and gets a 2-count. Flammer tosses her onto the apron, sweeps the leg, knocks her off the apron, and hits a tope suicida. Flammer gets her back into the ring, mounted punches, chokes her on the ropes, pulls her groin-first into the ringpost, snapmare, applies a chinlock, Bayley battles back, and hits a running neckbreaker.
Bayley fights back, delivers a back suplex, stunner in the ropes, running kneelift, and covers for a 2-count. Flammer counters the Bayley to Belly, Bayley hits a big knee, sunset flip into the turnbuckles, Flammer grabs hold of the turnbuckles Bayley pulls her away, Flammer pulls the buckle pad with her, Bayley plants her with the Bayley to Belly and covers for uno-dos-KICKOUT! Flammer rolls her up for a double foot stomp to the midsection, and both women are down. Both trade punches, Flammer traps her in the ropes, gets on the second turnbuckle, and hits a rope-hung diving legdrop for 2. Bayley hits a diving elbow, covers, gets another near-fall, Flammer hits the lungblower for 2.5! They battle on top of the ropes, Bayley blocks the superplex, hits the diving elbow, La Maravilla distracts the referee, so La Hiedra attacks Bayley from behind. Flammer throws Bayley’s head into the exposed steel, hits the basement dropkick in the bottom ropes, and covers for three! WINNER and STILL AAA Reina de Reinas Champion: FLAMMER!
We get a video package to hype up the AAA Rey de Reyes tournament.
* AAA Rey de Reyes Tournament Finals:
Santos Escobar vs. Original El Grande Americano vs. La Parka vs. El Grande Americano
The bell dings, all four men go on the attack, and we’ll already down to Original for the now. Their stand-off gets interrupted by Escobar as he attacks both men. La Parka is back in on the action, Original fights him in a corner, La Parka does a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, gets a 2-count, lands a diving crossbody, and gets a near-fall. La Parka goes up top, Escobar dumps him out to the floor, El Grande his a jumping calf kick, punches him in a corner, Escobar dumps him out. La Parka comes back in with a springboard dropkick, goes up top, walks the ropes, and hits a diving moonsault onto all three men on the floor!
La Parka picks up Original for an airplane spin into a sit-out powerbomb for 2, Original hotshots him on the top rope, clotheslines him, goes to work on the left arm, and puts him in an armbar. Parka counters a monkey flip, Original EGA, gets involved, counters a slingshot by Escobar with a northern lights suplex for 2, and hits short-arm chops. Original EGA punches La Parka in a corner, El Grande pulls him out, Escobar with a running knee, pump kick to Parka, hits meteoras to all three, and covers Parka for 2.
El Grande fights back shows he won’t stay down, short-arm clothesline, takes him down, running gamengiri, Parka grabs him lands on his feet, and clotheslines both men. El Grande faces off with Original, gives him a big back body drop, then puts Escobar in a submission, Escobar counters with a cover, Original puts Escobar in the ankle lock, El Grande puts La Parka in the submission, then Original hiptosses Escobar onto El Grande. Parka and Escobar battle in a corner, and Escobar delivers a superplex!
Parka goes for a moonsault, Escobar grabs him, and Original delivers a German suplex to Escobari who suplexes Parka! Original delivers the diving headbutt to Escobar, El Grande breaks up the count, picks him up, but Original rips at the mask, sends him into the turnbuckles, and delivers the fisherman’s suplex. Original EGA goes back up, Parka jumps up to cut him off for the Spanish Fly, Escobar superkicks Parka on the way down ,then covers for a 2-count! Parka and Escobar trade punches, Original EGA with a burning hammer, and El Grande delivers a rolling death valley driver. Both Americanos have the same idea with loading their masks with the steel plates, La Parka ducks, and both Americanos headbutt each other! Parka hits the frog splash onto Original EGA, but Escobar breaks up the count, then they clothesline each other.
Both Americanos are outside the ring and they fight each other through the crowd eliminating themselves from the contest. Escobar checks brings a steel chair into the ring, La Parka ducks the swing, delivers a brainbuster, covers, 1-2-NO! Parka drags him into position, Escobar rolls away from the moonsault, covers, and gets a 2-count. Escobar grabs the chair, plants him with the Phantom Driver onto the chair, covers, and gets a near-fall. El Grande makes his way back to ringside, and we see Bravo and Rayo handcuffing The Original EGA to a railing up in the stands! El Grande plants Santos with a slam, Escobar side-steps him in a corner, schoolboy roll-up for 2, Escobar grabs the chair, but El Hijo Del Dr. Wagner Jr. pulls the chair away from him and whacks his arm against the steel steps! Parka hits a rolling stunner to Escobar, El Grande hits Parka with the running headbutt, then a running headbutt to Escobar for the 1-2-3!! WINNER of the 2026 Rey de Reyes: EL GRANDE AMERICANO!!
We get a commercial promo for AAA: Noche de Los Grandes taking place in Monterrey, Mexico on Saturday May 30th at 7 PM.
Next week for night two of Rey de Reyes we’ll see a six-person tag match with Rey Fenix, Mr. Iguana, and Lola Vice taking on La Hiedra and Money Machine. Psycho Clown and Pagano will defend their Tag Team Titles against the War Raiders next week. Also, the Rey de Reyes sword presentation will be presented to the winner El Grande Americano.
It’s time for the main event! If El Hijo Del Vikingo wins this title match then Dominik must leave AAA for good. Out comes the challenger for the Mega Championship and he’s accompanied by Dorian Roldan. If Dominik Mysterio wins the match then Vikingo can no longer challenge for the title as long as Dom is the champ. Speaking of, out comes the current champion with a new shinier version of the Mega Championship, and he’s by himself. We get the proper title match introductions, Eddie Orengo is the referee for this no-DQ match, he holds up the title, and the bell dings to get our main event underway.
* AAA Mega Championship – No Disqualification Match:
El Hijo Del Vikingo vs. “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio {C}
Vikingo grabs a kendo stick from under the ring, Dominik ducks a swing to and grabs another kendo stick, then they start throwing punches, and Dominik dropkicks him. Vikingo with a few armdrags, dropkicks him, slaps him on the chest, Shattered Dreams dropkick, Dom side-steps him in a corner, Vikingo sweeps the legs, dropkicks him, and grabs a few chairs from under the ring. Vikingo throws a chair at his head, the ref checks on him, Vikingo dropkicks him off the apron, throws him around, sits him in a chair, gets in the ring, and hits a tope con hilo sending him through the chair!
Back in the ring, Vikingo gets a 2-count, exits for a trash can, places it over “Dirty” Dom’s head, hits him with the kendo stick, hits a basement dropkick, and covers for 2. Vikingo bites Dom’s head, Dominik fights back, Vikingo sends him into the turnbuckles, Dom slinks through the ropes, gives him a hotshot, hits the tope atomico, whacks him with the kendo stick some more, delivers the Three Amigos, Vikingo fights off the third, Dom plants him with the Michinoku Driver and gets a 2-count as Dorian breaks the count. Dom gets back to his feet to confront him, Mysterio corners Dorian, and Omos makes his way to the the ring. Vikingo with a schoolboy rollup for 2, Dominik clotheslines him, picks up the trash can, Omos takes it away from him then throws it at him.
Vikingo sets him up in the ropes, Vikingo whacks him with the trash can, hits the double foot stomp, and Dom kicks out at 2.5! Dorian hands the Mega Championship to Vikingo who puts it around his waist. Dominik avoids the frog splash, dropkicks him onto the ropes, goes for the 619, but Omos intercepts him, choke slams him onto the apron, gets in the ring, and delivers the big CHOKE SLAM to Dom! Omos helps Vikingo get on the top rope, Mini Vikingo gets on the apron to get Vikingo’s attention, and delivers a top rope hurricanrana! Omos creeps up to Mini, picks him up in a two-handed choke, and Dom gives Omos the LOW BLOW on the giant! Dom and Mini both hit Omos with chair shots to the back, Dom hits Vikingo in the back with a chair shot, hits the 619, goes up top, hits the FROG SPLASH, and covers for 1-2-3!!! WINNER and STILL AAA Mega Champion: “DIRTY” DOMINIK MYSTERIO!!!
Dominik Mysterio does it again, escapes with his AAA Mega Championship, and lives to fight another day in Mexico. That’s all for night one of Lucha Libre’s AAA Rey de Reyes!
