Kazuchika Okada

In this interview Kazuchika Okada talks about retiring Hiroshi Tanahashi at Wrestle Kingdom 20: “It was an honor and I was happy to be able to wrestle in that environment. It was something I had been aiming for for a long time. It was all thanks to Tanahashi’s retirement, the matchup between Tanahashi and Okada, and the current New Japan wrestlers… I think it all came together. It felt really good.”

In this interview with Scott Fishman R-Truth talks about getting emotional during season two of WWE Unreal: “I think it was good. Yes, people see the hero in me, but it’s also good to see that I’m human. I’m human just like everybody else. I bleed. I hurt. I cry. I have doubts. I forget who I am. I’m just like each and every person out there. I think a lot of them related that to the R-Truth character too. They could see and sense that. It’s what got them behind me and cheering me because I was that underdog inside of them. To visually see that outside of the wrestling ring, it will be captivating to people. I don’t mind that. I want to be transparent for people because life is not always going to be up. You’re going to have down times. I think it was a good way to show people it’s okay to cry. It’s okay to feel. A lot of people tell me that seeing me made them feel a certain way. I made them feel a certain way when or because of. They got to see me at one of my most transparent moments, most vulnerable moments in my life. I’m okay with that.”

Leon Slater talks about Impact tonight on AMC: “Everyone is very excited, man. I feel like TNA has almost been this hidden gem over the past few years of pro wrestling. The talent has been killing it for the past three, four – maybe even five – years, especially since COVID, with that new wave of talent: Speedball, Josh Alexander, Jordynne Grace, that whole crop of Impact talent really coming into their own. The transition back to TNA over the past two years has been huge for us, and I feel like we’ve done a great job growing that and keeping the momentum going. I don’t feel like it’s something we deserve – I feel like it’s something we’ve earned. That’s not just the in-ring talent. That goes for management, creative, the office – everyone. We’ve earned an opportunity like this. It almost feels like a science project you’ve been working on in the basement every day, getting better and better, and now you finally get to show it to the world. We’re excited to show people what we’ve been working on.”
