A potential settlement/resolution is looming in the lawsuit against Cody Rhodes, Fanatics and WWE over the “American Nightmare” trademark. Wesley Eisold of the band American Nightmare sued all parties back in September of 2024 for violating an agreement they had reached; in short, Eisold would allow use of the phrase “American Nightmare” on merchandise so long as it was paired with Cody’s name or likeness to give it a pro wrestling context. WWE started selling merch that said American Nightmare without using Cody’s name or face, so he sued. Before any settlement though Eisold has to respond to a motion to dismiss by Sept. 12th and they in turn have to respond to his response by the 26th. If no settlement is reached before then there will be a hearing on the motion Oct. 10th and scheduling for trial on the 31st if the motion to dismiss has not been granted. (PWI)

Allie talks about returning to wrestling after two years: “This year has been really hard. Sometimes, when you’re in a dark place, it’s hard to step outside of yourself and see that there are still good things in the world and there are good things for you to experience as well. I didn’t realize how much wrestling brought me joy until I hit rock bottom, and wrestling was like a little bit of a light in the storm. I told you guys before that I did like a little TNA one-off. It was my first time in a really, really, really long time that I had been in wrestling in some capacity. So I do this thing. It was like in real time, it was pulling me out of the dark hole I had been sitting in.
